Sound board and stage.

Visulite Theatre is the best live music venue in the city of Charlotte - Hands Down! It's intimate, the sound is amazing and they make great drinks! This is the best place to catch a Live Show in Charlotte, period! Cheers!

Small little venue in uptown Charlotte that hosts performer's with a cool local kinda vibe. We were there to see a tribute band for Crosby Stills Nash & Young. The theatre does serve lots of local brews and the typical bottled beer selections. There is no food to purchase but they do allow you to bring food in. There are several different places - (Viva Chicken right next door , a sushi joint and a few others ) to get food in the area so that's a nice bonus! I can't say the band I heard that night was great cause they weren't- but let's concentrate on the venue- it was really a nice place to go. The speakers were good and the guy who ran the sound board didn't blow us out - so that was good ! The staff were all very friendly and efficient from the guy at the door to the check in lady and bar tenders it was a very nice experience! I'd say this place is definitely worth going to ! Two thumbs way up!

This is one of The coolest small music venues that I have ever been to. They have FREE parking- yes free parking in Downtown Charlotte. Even from the outside, it looks like a an old time theater (which it is$ and gives you a nostalgic feel. We were all lines to ready to get in the show and I felt like a kid again waiting to meet me hero. Bartenders were super friendly and GOOD. I will say- prices were very high for drinks. Bathrooms were clean and will call rockets were super easy. There is plenty of seating and then a section of you want to be up close and personal with the bands. No food is served but you can bring your own in. The sounds was amazing and the show that we went to see was The Dirty Doors. They were unbelievable! If I lived in Charlotte, I would be here all the time. Quick and easy to get out of parking, too. I loved it!

If you have a VISA Debit Card, then it's also known as VISA-lite. This is not that. This is a lovely liberal theater in the really cool hipster and artsy district to the East of Charlotte's downtown. There is an amazing restaurant next door and a lot of the shows here are cutting edge and protest bands and artsy stuff that I really appreciate. They put up flyers for all kinds of cool local artists and traveling musicians, even if they're not playing at this theatre. True patrons of the arts and a credit to the community.

best night of my life! very clean and cool place! 10/10 would recommend

I love this place so much! amazing concerts! 10/10 would recommend going to! beat experience of my life!

AWWWW YEAH! This is the coolest music venue I've been to, hands down. I went to see Lisa De Novo, 4 Tin and Deaf Andrews in November. All three acts were awesome, and the venue itself really added to the experience. The stage has a really spacious pit area, the staff is friendly, there's a nice bar, awesome décor and an overall electrifying vibe. I think of what I thought going to a live rock show would be like when I was younger, and this place definitely comes the closest to my ideal experiences. I actually smile -- nay, grin -- when I pass this place walking or driving somewhere. I really can't wait to see more shows here. Y'all ROCK!

The ambiance early in the evening is relaxed outdoor seating needs to update the benches they're not comfortable and the woods starting to warp but, decent music, and a solid cocktail menu. It's the kind of place where you can actually hear your conversation and enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. However, as the night progresses and the vibe shifts into more of a "clubby" scene which ended up being a perfect combo but let's talk charges.. feels steep for what's essentially a modest venue without standout features. Drink prices were high like the cover but not in a way that reflects upgraded quality or service. For the area, there are other spots offering more for the same price or even less but with cozy comforts and inside seating, nicer facilities so it's easy to find things not to love if you come here to support a DJ friend like I did than pay the cover and mingle. It's not a bad place by any means, and the early lounge experience is definitely a highlight followed up with the banging DJ club scene after...it's just the paying premium rates for a relatively average experience for me.

My date and I both love jazz and this spot was recommended to us in passing. I am so glad we listened because it was absolutely amazing. The vibe is swanky and super cute. When you walk in the walls are lined with photos of different jazz artists including the performers for that night. It felt so classy and welcoming. There is a hostess at the front who seats you based on your ticket and yes you buy your tickets online. I saw some available on third party sites but we purchased directly from the Middle C Jazz website. The venue itself is intimate. I would say maybe 100 people fit comfortably. No matter where you are seated you can see the stage. There truly is not a bad seat in the house. Some tables are reserved like the couple celebrating their anniversary who were seated right in front of the stage. We were off to the side but the view and sound were still perfect. When you arrive you stand in a short line and then get seated. If you are a party of two you might share a table with another couple which I did not mind at all. They have small bites you can order and there is a little light on the table you tap when you are ready for service. I had the crab cakes they were okay and my date had the sliders. I also ordered a glass of wine and everything paired nicely with the music. And the music... wow. The band played for about two hours and they were incredible. That night was a Stevie Wonder tribute and they absolutely delivered. I hear different bands play each night which makes me want to come back again and again. It was my birthday weekend but we were mostly there for the date. Still it felt like the perfect way to celebrate without even trying. The sound, the atmosphere, the intimacy, everything was so cute and so well done. Parking was easy. There is metered street parking or a garage right behind the building for ten dollars. You can either pay inside the jazz club or at the pay station. Just a heads up the pay station does not take American Express so if that is your card of choice handle the parking payment inside. This was honestly one of the best nights I have had in a long time. The music was fantastic the venue was beautiful and the whole experience felt special. Anytime someone visits me in Charlotte Middle C Jazz will be on the list. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Unless you arrive early before the music starts, the parking is terrible there and sometimes I feel unsafe to walk through those alleys in the dark alone. However the guard to the place has given me the worst impression without respect or common sense a few times that discouraging me to go there again. When I asked my friends if they experienced that, a few even said they had never been asked to show ID to go into the place. Perhaps we are Asian female and look strange. At one time, my friend came from other state and left her driver license in the car at my home. She showed that she had a copy of ID, We are all beyond 50's, the security said she had to have the real driver license. Come on give us a break? We had to drive home to get it. Last night, I went there myself, not only this guard examined my driver's license to see if that's real, check my bag and even asked me to open my jacket that was just an pullover. What authorities did he had? That's an insult to a female. Should this place hire a female guard for female as well? Someone is wrong with those guys. Been to many nightclubs in Charlotte, this is the worst I've come across so far. Been in upper management in law enforcement all my life, here I then find one who doesn't need to bring his head but his power to work.

But really want to point out the staff and how attentive they were and how friendly they were. It was a cold night and they were efficient in getting everyone in safely and were knowledgeable when providing menu recommendations and setting expectations. The guy even explained that he wanted to meet the band after and have them sign his poster. Too bad. They sent various other people back to their cars for other minor things too. It did not make sense or make us feel any safer. It just made going to a show feel like a chore. Once we were inside we all wanted to grab a beer. This is definitely not the place to do that! They had about 5 beers to choose from all of which I would never ever drink nor would anyone else in our group which is saying a lot because we all have pretty diverse tastes. All of the beers were like $18, even the garbage beers. I expect that price as we pay $19/beer at the hockey games but the arena offers a great selection. I'll pay $19 for a good beer. I saved lots of money at The Underground since they don't have any beer worth drinking. The bartenders at the bar on the left were not friendly and not interested in answering any questions. We ventured to the bar on the right and a few of us ordered mixed drinks.
