I had a very limited window to get them made before returning to Chile. They went out of their way to assure a speedy turnaround. The complication was that i wanted progressive office glasses, however my prescription was not correct for progressives. Although not the fault of Davalt Optical, Kelly offered to remake them with a new prescription, if i never got used to them upon return to Chile. She even followed through with a phone call to find out how i was doing with them. She reiterated her offer to remake them at no additional charge. She asked when i would be returning to FL to which i said by the end of the year, however in reality, I was unable to return until the middle of February. Kelly assured me that would not be a problem. I brought my old frames to them and a week later she called telling me my new glasses were ready. I went to pick them up a couple days later on Friday. I did not realize they closed early on Friday, but when i called, they told me they would stay late waiting for my arrival. This is the kind of customer service that is sorely lacking these days. Ohh I almost forgot to say, the new glasses were perfect. I highly recommend Devalt Optical. They do great work, are super professional, very nice people and offer customer service like no other optical service ive ever experienced before. I give them the highest rating possible

I had asked the owner if there was any way to replace both legs for now until after we get back into town. He said he could, but the design of the these glasses were poor and they may brake again. His recommendation was to replace the frame to something more durable since my fiancé tends to break glasses often. He looked all over his shop to find a nice frame that may fit the original lenses because getting new lenses for the specific script she has would take a week and a half. During this time him, his wife and I chatted up until he handed me a case with new glasses. I was shocked he was able to save the lenses and get the job done so quick! I asked how much? He said it's a wedding present.. I nearly cried.. shook his hand and his wife's.. and thanked them again, but it still doesn't feel enough. Thank you again Clinton and Kelly! You've touched my heart with kindness in a way I haven't felt since I was kid. A merry wedding present indeed. For starters, Vue Optical describes itself as a boutique eyeglass shop with independent designer…read moreframes. That's a bait & switch. Few top designer lines, and those they list on their website - like SALT. - they have in barely a handful of styles. They also use some funky lab, and first filled my RX (from an ophthalmology office in town ranked on the "Top Doctor" annual list) - without my approval, I'm all about brands - with some no-name label that was awful. Vue said they couldn't offer Zeiss lenses, the very best. And then when we agreed to try Hoya (or was that Shamir?), it was done by the same lab! With the $1k "office" progressive eyeglasses I bought from them last year, I should be able to see clearly from 12 inches to about 20 feet. Make that 8 ft, barely. And I get headaches and sleepy trying to read closeup for more than 30 minutes. Plus, super frustrating on top of that, the AR anti-reflective coating is obviously of such cheap quality that it's almost impossible to get rid of the smudges - even with those special eyeglass cloth wipes or washing with dishwasher soap. The shop is pretty, and the 2 saleswomen are lovely. The woman who sold me the frames and lenses sent my eyeglasses back to the lab 2x to "fix" them. I accepted them finally because it was embarrassing, and despite her politeness and seeming patience, I felt like a nuisance and flake. I greatly regret not being more assertive and demanding a refund. I'm 67, and have worn progressive eyeglasses 30+ years. I've bought in my former towns - NYC, Philly, SF, LA. And I've never ever ever had a problem, much less this maddening experience. Ok, I've got to stop. I'm getting sleepy from typing close-up. I'm giving 2 stars for the pretty shop and nice saleswomen. And I don't like to totally slam a business. But I'm certainly not coming back here.

Last night one of the arms fell off so I went back to have him put it back on. He said the hinge was stuck (because of the glue HE used) to attach the arms. I discovered that his relations are just as equal and cool as Dr. Reardon's The staff is always amazing and friendly. Prompt with communications even if I don't call back to confirm my visits. Even more so... if the doctor recommends an outside specialist and you so interest in their recommendation - they will contact that specialist for you and have that specialist's staff reach out to you. While I waited another patient came in who I could tell must've been going there for years. A couple months later I decided I wanted to try ordering a pair online so I called to ask for the specifics of my prescription and they emailed it to me very quickly.
