I had the pleasure of attending a wedding as a bridesmaid. The space was beautiful and spacious. The china on the lower level in casing was beautiful and the colors chosen have a very old home comfort feel. Takes you back a bit to another time. Lighting for images is great here and there is a handicap parking close to the ramps which make entry and exits very easy. They offer recycling and trash in their kitchen. We let her know back in January 13 of 2015 that we would have a guest list of 65 and that she would work with us since the minimum was 75. She showed us two different rooms, my fiance and I let her know we wanted to use one room for the reception and the other room for the wedding ceremony. We told her our wedding date would be April 22, 2016, she told us that the dinner price would go up because of the year and month we decided on but not by much, she told us that that wouldn't be a problem since people usually don't get married on a Friday so we would be able to have both rooms, however, she told us if a bigger wedding party were to want to hold their wedding at their establishment on the same day as our wedding, we would be forced to use the smaller room for the reception and the wedding ceremony. We told her we would need to talk about this, finally my fiance and I emailed her and decided to finally put a deposit down. I emailed Margot on March 16 of 2015 and let her know that we would like to put a deposit down for April 22, 2016, Margot proceeded to tell me that that day was booked and that we would have to pick a different day even though she told us that we would've been forced to use the smaller room if someone with a bigger wedding party booked the same day as us. She also let me know that the minimum is 75 period even though she said that she would work with us because we had a wedding party of 65. I let her know that that was absurd and we decided to go with another wedding venue, she proceeded to tell me that all contracts do these types of changes and to read a contract carefully, that the minimum has change and she told us this from the beginning even though she said she doesn't want to turn business away and that she would work with us with the minimum amount of people we had. At that point I stopped emailing Margot and my fiance and I actually put a deposit down with a better establishment that won't screw us over and that because we put a deposit down that the whole place is ours period. The Matrix should know better than to do business like this, you just don't say one thing and do another thing, it's very shady. This is how you don't do business.
