Still seems like should have better tastes than this last bunch of new ice cream flavors that Amy's conjured up. Still Higher price than most. Dupont is cheaper and gives you more for the dollar than Amy's. But Amy's does keep bringing different ice creams to hook you into buying large portions that can cost a bit. But it's my choice to find good ice cream that has the taste and price tags , I seek.

What was pretty annoying is given how busy they were, not all the staff were working. There were three people, but only two were helping customers. The third just stood behind the counter and just observed the chaos. And the people who were working, didn't seem to care very much. There is a sign stating if you were to guess a trivia question, you would get a free topping. The server who took my order, I asked her three times and she just ignored me. When I finally made it very explicit I was trying to guess the trivia question, she told me she didn't know what the answer was. I'm happy to pay for any toppings, but what is the point of having this "trivia challenge" if the workers don't even know the answer? When I received my cup of ice cream, it looked like it was mostly melted - if you look at the photo, you can see I took this at the shop as I received my order. I honestly had a few bites and ended up throwing it away. I did also purchase a pint of their Mexican Vanilla which was quite good. When you visit the website, the pictures look amazing. It's too bad what you get doesn't even remotely resemble what is in the photos online. It's just ice cream!

They are some that are ice cream but the 2 others which was the coconut ice cream was watery. In the meantime I decided to try a few of the flavors cookies and cream was my favorite and this was ice cream of course and otherwise I would have said something because that was my favorite. I also noticed that they're more cleaner than they were the last time I came in the nice comfortable chairs and booths was a nice flare. The taste was not too sugary and Tasted very much like ice cream more so yogurt of course I would recommend yogurt versus ice cream because of the sugar content. It's absolutely healthier than many other ice cream shops. The bathroom not so clean had stuff on the floor paper towels toilet paper it's a good thing I didn't step on toilet paper or otherwise it would look ridiculous on my shoe. I would recommend this place but for now I'm just going to leave it neutral for all of you too review and decide for yourself. So this is a reason I give as far as a 3 star.

I had a fussy 10mo and needed something to do inside as it's very cold. We've never been to Almost Grown and it seemed like a good way for my kid to let off steam. This is a very cute cafe and ice cream shop with a play place in the back. It's a $10 admission per child, parents get in free. The admission here is $8 less than Pikopye's and you're able to just walk in. Love that. As some yelpers have mentioned, it is a bit chaotic as there are so many toys around. There are lots of tables to sit and eat at within the play area. There are different play areas such as a doctor's office set up complete with little scrubs, hats, and stethoscopes. There's a firefighting area with fire fighter gear. As well as a farmer's market area with tons of toy produce. All the toys from each play area are scattered amongst the entire play room. I'm kind of wondering how often they sanitize all the toys/costumes/tables etc. as there are a lot of kids with runny noses here. Overall it's a good place for kids to come and socialize/burn some energy.

Luckily for her, Austin has no shortage of great ice cream shops to visit when she's in town. Since we were already in the area, I told her we had to try Manolis, which had been on my list for months. Located at a food truck park near Dripping Springs, Manolis stands out immediately as a massive truck at the front. Ordering is done on iPads while you wait in line, and you pick up at the window. I ordered a small of their stracciatella, while my girlfriend got a small waffle cone of the dulce de leche. Simply put, it was amazing. The flavors were strong without being too sweet or over the top, and I was extremely impressed. This knocks a lot of ice cream shops out of the water, and they're just a food truck. I would genuinely go out of my way to get ice cream here. That's how good it is. I'm glad I made the trip out to Manolis, and it was worth every minute of my 45 minute drive back home because it was GAS. Moved like prime Vince Carter because it's too smooth.
