The first trip was more of a couples getaway, and this time we came back with the family and it somehow managed to be even better. The resort is absolutely beautiful, spotless, and perfectly maintained. Everywhere you turn, there's something to do; from relaxing by the pool, to the spa, to simply soaking in the gorgeous ocean views. What really makes this place special, though, is the hospitality. Isidro and his team truly go above and beyond for every guest. You can tell they take great pride in what they do...every detail feels personal and thoughtful. Vista Hermosa isn't just a resort; it's a hidden jewel and truly feels like a home away from home whenever we visit Mexico. This place has officially become a family tradition for us, and we're already looking forward to our next stay. If you're thinking about visiting Rosarito, don't hesitate, book it. You won't regret it.

So don't be fooled by the pictures of the property. That means no gym access, no main pool access, no tennis court access, and very limited parking. The biggest issue we had recently was the amount of chlorine in the guest hot tub. My partner and I both felt ill after leaving the hot tub. Unfortunately I got the worst of it. Headache, dizziness and vomiting. I would never step inside it again. I do not believe these amenities like the pools are regulated or tested daily as they are required to be. Therefore, I do not recommend this place.

First, the biggest issue: roaches and spiders. Yes, you read that correctly. There were both roaches and spiders in my room. When I reported it to the front desk, I was shocked by the response. The employee simply said, "That's common here," as if it were completely normal. Instead of offering a meaningful solution, they handed me a new toothbrush because a roach had crawled all over mine. And that was it! Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. I've contacted the corporate office and hope they'll offer a refund or some other form of resolution. The food was decent, but it was overpriced. You won't find much on the menu for under $13. On a positive note, the spa was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed my treatments, and the staff there were warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Along with the kitchen staff, servers, and bartenders, they provided excellent customer service. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the front desk, whose response to a serious cleanliness issue fell far short of what I expected. The furniture is falling apart and the floor is stained. The cleanliness of this place is unfortunately subpar. There were random rags just laying around for some reason, and no one picked them up (so I did). Very disappointing for the amount of money I spent...

This protects the fidelity of the mineral water pools. When you first walk up, there is a check-in camper. When you go in, they'll give you the information that you need for your room and stay. We opted to rent one of the private homes because of our group being larger. It was about a 2 block walk away from the resort which wasn't bad at all. The town is very small and you can literally count how many businesses are here. It's pretty cool. It was a very nice visit and I highly recommend coming to this resort and hotel. The 2 mineral hot springs pools are nice. I recommend that you upgrade with a stay so that you have access to the secluded pool, which is really private and a level up. People get day passes, but that only works at the main pool. The main pool gets very, very crowded with day pass attendees. Again, I highly recommend upgrading with a stay so that you have access to the very very nice amenities. There is a restaurant, called Long Shadow, and I'll have a separate review for that. Overall, this was a wonderful and great trip.

Two hours later the electricity goes outand with it the AC/heater unit, and so I call the front desk and they tell me that it's got to do something with the electric company, funny because there's light in the hallway and other rooms, but not mine. It takes them 3 hrs to solve the issue, which was to reset the circuit breaker. Next morning I check in with the front desk to see if I could go hike on the grounds and or use the jacuzzi, they said it was "unavailable", "all we have is the restaurant and the rooms". Would the website have mentioned the amenities were not available,I would've not stayed there.Monday morning a water line broke,so there was no water in the building I was staying in. I asked to see if I could be put in another room so that my lady and I could shower and get ready and they declined. They said there was no water in the entire hotel. I was pretty upset at this point because now I would have to check into another hotel to shower,so I asked for a one night refund. When I initially asked ,they told me that because I didn't book with themy directly I would have to petition that refund with Snaptravel. So then I asked them if they could give me a written statement( just like the snaptravel website asks to do) stating that they would reimburse me for the one night, and they reluctantly did. Did I get reimbursed by Snaptravel?- NO Lesson of the story: Don't stay at this hotel. It's not worth the money. Another tip: The amenities are most of the time either not available, not working, there's not an attendant, etc. So don't book a hotel because of the amenities they offer. If you're looking for something in particular,do it separately.

Yumano Restaurant @ Meglan Review…read more We rolled in hangry and ready to inhale anything. The ceviche saved our souls - fresh, tangy, and gone in sixty seconds. Then came the ribeye... and let's just say it was giving well-done sadness. They didn't ask how we wanted it cooked, so we ended up gnawing on steak that was tougher than our Monday mornings. Presentation was gorgeous though, so at least our eyes were fed. We also did the wine tasting with four wines. Honestly, they were just okay - but to be fair, we were so tired and hungry we probably could've sipped grape juice and called it a day. Overall, come for the ceviche and the views, skip the ribeye unless you're training your jaw, and maybe do the tasting when you're not on the brink of a hanger meltdown. Huevo Republic @ Meglan Review Breakfast is included... kinda. It's not anything off the menu - you get select items or they'll deduct $10 off your bill if you want to live your best brunch life. I got the chilaquiles and they were solid - the half order is what counts as "free," but it was enough to fuel my wine adventures for the day. The first morning was so slow, like waiting-for-your-crush-to-text-back slow, but day two was popping. They got my order wrong, but honestly, I was too hungry to care and just ate it anyway. Their green juice was surprisingly good, and my friend's hot cakes with fruit looked fluffy and happy - though I think the half order would've been plenty unless you're training for a carb marathon. Staff was sweet, just busy, so some things slipped through the cracks. But we rolled with it. Because at the end of the day... we were in Valle, drinking wine before noon. Life could be worse. Aroma @ Meglan Review My friend needed a jolt of coffee after her coffee... so take that as you will. The coffee itself was good, but the service could use a little caffeine boost too. My friend doesn't speak Spanish, and the barista pretended not to understand her until I ordered in Spanish - suddenly, everyone was bilingual. We grabbed her drinks, sat for a bit, and soaked in the pretty scenery before making the long trek back to our part of the property. Honestly, worth it for the views and decent brew - just make sure you come caffeinated enough to order your coffee for your coffee.

Our towels needed replacement as they were non-absorbent; 2. The beds have a thin comforter, but at night it gets cold and a heavy comforter would be better; 3. Provide kitchen towels (paper and cloth); and 4. Put plastic bags in the kitchen's trash container.
