This is a very cute restaurant with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It wasn't crowded when we visited, which made getting a table quick and easy. The server was friendly and attentive, and our food came out fairly quickly. The food itself was very good and reasonably priced, which was definitely a highlight of the experience. That said, there were a couple of downsides. Parking was extremely difficult, especially around dinner time. It was nearly impossible to find a spot nearby, so be prepared to park farther away and walk. The other issue was the noise level. There was live music with a guy singing, but it was SO loud that it made having a normal conversation at the table very challenging. Overall, it's a nice place with good food and a pleasant vibe, but due to the parking challenges and volume level, I probably wouldn't return. read more

Wow! What a colorful and festive first impression. Vista Hermosa is lively with over-the-top color......everywhere. Seems like this spot is buzzing right in this part of Soundview- feet away from the 6. Service is pleasant all around. Our server even made sure to warn us about the Salsa 'being real spicy' (turned out it wasn't- thank you Jesus!). Music added another upbeat layer with Mexican Pop. My Mom loved her Mexican coffee with hints of Cinnamon but my Tamarind Juice, was bland. Menu has lots to choose from and decided on Shrimp Tacos. Unlike me, my Mom, can stomach any type of meat and settled on a Bistec (Steak) with a Sope and Grilled Cactus. My 3 tasty Shrimp Tacos, were packed real nice with queso, Cilantro and lettuce- and I was in flavor heaven when I added a squeeze of lime to them. Mumsy took notice that our Lunch came out too quick- including her Steak. Unfortunately, my Mom complained (in Spanish) that her Steak "felt like a piece of rubber". Hey, can't control what the lady says. Anyhow.....It was a nice Shrimp Taco bliss for me. Just kind of wished, my Mom had a similar experience like I did- with her Entree. They have several things going for them- they just need to put more priority on food quality. I'm going with a 3 and a 1/2 on this one. Went here with my mom last night and ordered take out I had the chicken flautas and my mom had the carne taco salad both meals were great I love the rice and beans and the green sauce. This restaurant can accommodate large group. On a busy Friday night, eight friends and I were able to get seating right away. I recommend for large groups or dates. They had great drink specials with lots of options for mixed frozen drinks. The services was a bit slow. It took our server a while to take our order and the food also took about 30 minutes to come out. On the plus side, everyone was please with their meal. Although they don't have vegan specific meals, the vegetarian selection can be modified. I ordered fajita vegetariana with out cream or cheese. So on a lazy Sunday afternoon I order a burrito and guacamole to be delivered. The order came fairly quick and they got it right. Unfortunately, the guac was bland. I had to add some salt, lemon and picante. The burrito was probably the second worst burrito I've ever had. Not due to taste, it was ok, but due to size and how it wrapped. Or wasn't I should say. The burrito was about the size of a taco and a half. It was completely unwrapped on one end and the inside barely had any meat. Completely disappointed with the meal and myself for a wasted $18.50. I am usually enjoying their food but the past three times I've ordered via grub hub, the deliveries have been always lacking something They are "super busy today" as per the person who answered the phone said so they won't be able to actually send me the avocado salad I paid for so they suggest I call grub hub to get a refund. Ordered an American quesadilla with steak and cheese and the sour cream or cantina cheese , can't really tell what it is , was rotten and soaked into the actual quesadilla and had a horrible smell of rotten milk as soon as I opened the container. I contacted the restaurant and spoke with the manager , I live about 25 minutes away in Pelham gardens so it was very inconveniencing to have to go get more food and they refused to refund the $16 with out me driving all the way back even though I offered to send him a photo or FaceTime him to show him the texture was clearly odd.
