The woman who works during these hours has repeatedly been unwilling to assist customers and, when she does provide assistance, her attitude can be very rude and disrespectful. My mother is an elderly customer who regularly comes to the laundromat and sometimes needs assistance loading her loyalty card. On Wednesday morning, she asked the employee for help. Instead of assisting her respectfully, the employee told her, "Come here, I'll show you, and hopefully you will learn because I won't repeat myself." I find this behavior completely inappropriate and disrespectful, especially toward an elderly customer who was simply asking for assistance. Customers should be treated with patience, courtesy, and respect, regardless of how often they need help. I am asking that management please address this situation with the employee and ensure that customers, especially elderly customers, are treated respectfully and receive proper assistance when needed. Lee answered every question I had, gave me very detailed information, & explained everything really clearly. They close at 10 PM, & I didn't finish drying & folding my clothes until around 10:45. Having explained and showed a male attendent at the front what work I needed, he stated that the lady who does sewing only can do simple sewing. In his opinion, the task was very simple and agreed that it could be done. He asked that I show and explain what needed to be done to a lady he called from the back of the shop. As I tried to explain and show the simple task to the lady he identified as their seamstress, she became abrasive and unwilling to allow me to explain and show what I required. I even pinned the fabric to make it easier for her to understand what needed to be sewed. It was as if she did not want to listen to my instructions nor understand the simple job requirement. I asked her, "Why are you yelling and stop just for a moment to listen. I attempted to explain what was required. It was as if she did not want to do the work. As a customer, I should be able to explain clearly what is required to ensure there is no misunderstanding before work is done. If this business can not perform simple alterations, it should remove its advertisement indicating alterations are done. Extremely poor customer service. Nasty attitude and rude.
