Vivian is always very careful and thorough with our dry cleaning. We've been going to GJ Cleaners for years! She also knows how best to clean and press my shirts. I recently brought in two leather coats to which Vivian suggested simply using warm water and mild detergent to eliminate a small amount of mold frequently found on leather rather than to dry clean...thus saving me the unnecessary expense. Vivian is AMAAAAAAAAAAAAZING!!! I'm short, so I often need my pants and dresses/skirts hemmed. Vivian does this in record time and for a negligable fee. She is also so sweet, and very honest when I ask for her opinion on how something looks. She is also in the process of making me a custom mermaid tail (it will serve one specific purpose, and then be the best Halloween/Purim/life costume EVER!). I have been very fortunate in SF to find dependable cleaners. Most of the things I take there are shirts and suits, but I've also taken in tux shirts, a rhinestoned shirt that had a curry stain and have taken in pants for alterations! So far they've done a great job on everything. One of my favorite things is that she always remembers my name and is already getting my order by the time I get in the door. There is nothing better than the feeling that a business knows and appreciates you as an individual. The only draw back is that they don't take credit cards and I have to remember to have cash or check when I go there. They are worth the hassle though. read more

This is a (Chinese) family owned cleaner, most work are done on site. They do a pretty good job. It's difficult to find a good cleaner you can trust. It's kind of like finding a good mechanic.... They also do awesome work on alterations at a fair price. If you live in the area, give them a try. read more

Been going here for 10+ years. Vivian is super sweet and wonderful. Dry cleaning is well done and quick. She does alterations too and even helped me out with my bustle for my wedding dress even if she doesn't do wedding gowns. Lots of local police have their uniforms done here too, you can see all their uniforms lined up on the rack. :) read more

so it all started on a thursday evening after work, I just ate dinner and I needed to get my suit altered on the sleeves. I called to get a quote over the phone and got a pretty good quote compared to other places I called. I went ahead and drove there since they close at 7:30 on weekdays, which was awesome compared to most places closing at 6:30. They're owned by a chinese couple and vivian i believe at the desk is so helpful. I can def. say that if you speak chinese, it helps. but, i'd have to say vivian speaks really good english too so dont be scurrrred! anyways, i got my suit altered. coat = sleeves shortened about an inch to fit perfectly pants = got them shorter too also got one sport coat altered on the sleeves and on the waist area to fit more slim over all, all at a great price! picked them up by the next week and they all fit perfectly. no defects either! speaking of that, i just brought another suit for dry cleaning and for the coat to be altered too. they really do good work! read more

I did not have a positive experience here. I attempted to drop off one item on Saturday afternoon and the woman working behind the counter was not very helpful at all. First of all, I tried to tell her about a stain on my coat and she tried to argue with me that it was not due to a patch that I had on it. Don't you think I would know how my coat got stained? I needed it by Tuesday morning and I was hoping to pick it up at 7:30am but apparently they don't open at 7:30 anymore, but rather at 8:30am. Tried to see if there was any way to get it by late Monday night, but she wouldn't budge. Shouldn't it be dry cleaned by Monday night anyway if I were planning to pick it up first thing on Tuesday? Basically I got the feeling that she did not want my business. read more
