    The staff here is RUDE and SOOOOO unprofessional. No answers the phone and when they do they automatically place you on hold. I called them 2 days in a row trying to get in contact with someone to turn around to drive up there and get the information I needed. Don't waste your time coming here, it's not even worth it.

    While the staff were friendly- coming to this office was a complete waste of my time. Although they advertise to take "hundreds" of insurance plans, they were unable to take either of my two insurance plans through blue cross- citing an issue with how they process billing. While I understand that this happens (even though it has never happened to me personally) the disruption caused to my schedule on a Friday afternoon could have well been avoided had they bothered to check prior to coming in- particularly since I provided my insurance information in advance of my appointment. Would not recommend for the time wasted alone- whether it was due to staff incompetence or poor time management is unclear.

    I purchased my glasses at Visionworks in Woodbridge VA Potomac Mills in May 2023. A week after purchasing I noticed that my frame was developing a cracks across the nose bridge. At first I ignored it because it was small, but by the week five crack go bigger. So, I went by the store to see what my options were. I was told my only option was to buy new frames, since I didn't have a warrant. My frames were less than a month old. The damaged wasn't due to my negligence. I paid $500 for my glasses and my daughter and I have been coming there for over five years now. We have purchased new glasses every year. We will not be going back.

Typically when I go for my visit I get checked in and end up waiting for 15-20 min, then after they take me back to the first room and machine where they look at your eyes before putting you in the room to wait for the doctor another 20 min which is a bit annoying. When I visited 10/31 for my exam this year, I was on time and told the doctor was running 45 minutes behind so I just waited in my car (although there are places to grab a quick bite nearby) and when I got in I still had to wait another 10-15 min as she was going back and forth between patients. The staff is really nice, and the exam itself is comfortable so the time is really the only reason I took a star off. She's also very patient bc I am a bit sensitive with the bright light at the part of the exam when trying to look into my retina. I don't have glaucoma in my family and she asked me to return for an assessment, but I haven't gone - it just feels a bit odd but I appreciate her being cautious and proactive. I don't purchase my glasses or frames so I can't speak on that part. There is plenty of parking in the lot behind, or a few spots right in front. She has a clean restroom as well.

When I explicitly stated I have used these for over a decade and they are what I want to use. Then the Doctor changes my eye glasses prescription a little when she stated it was already 20/20 with the current prescription. What the F! Is she getting kick backs???!!! Never going here again! Trash!

    Really disappointed in the quality of service here. It was my first eye exam here, and also did a…read morecontacts lens fitting, where they informed me it would be extra for having astigmatism. No problem, things usually cost more when you have extra problems. They told me my preferred Lens was going to be discontinued after end of 2022, so my order would be the last and then I would need to switch to another brand. I ended up also getting some samples of a different brand to try. I was promised 2 weeks for my contacts to arrive. 2 weeks passed, no contacts, i call and explain what's going on, they call the supplier, call me back, say another two weeks but they're working on it. Repeat this for another three months or so. I understand delays but the fact that I have to 1) call them EVERY single time to ask where they are rather than be informed proactively that they are delayed again and 2) explain my story every single time I call, I assumed eye doctors would also use patient notes, is ridiculous. Then, I tried the samples, unfortunately, they didn't work for me and never settled on my eye or were sized incorrectly (blurry no matter how much eye drops). I called about 6 months after my eye exam to see if I could try another brand. They told me I would have to come back in and get resized and pay another $100+. I ended up going to another provider where I walked out the door only payed $20 for a new exam, under $50 for the lens fitting, and no extra charge for astigmatism. AND they gave me two different samples to try from the beginning, followed up how they were feeling etc. Th difference in level of care at Steer Optical and my new vision center is night and day. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

With insurance coverage, we were told we owed $147. We then went into Lens Crafters and as I was waiting for my wife, I noticed we were given the prescriptions for glases/contracts and the credit card receipt for the payment made but not an invoice for breakdown of the charges. I went back into Steer Optical examination office to request an invoice, and the receptionist stated that they needed to refund for the Optomap retinal exam, which my wife did not receive. My issue is why did I have to request an invoice for the refund to be recognized by the receptionist who accepted the credit card? The total should have been $49 for the contact lens fitting for my wife, but we were each charged $49.

I…read morepicked up my glasses on March 4th, and less than three weeks later, the glasses broke as I was putting them on. As my picture shows, one side cracked in the corner and the lens came out. This place, My Vision Care, refused to provide a replacement because I had not purchased an express warranty. Why is there no implied warranty that I am not being sold a defective product? Why did their glasses break from the simple act of putting them on, especially when I had the glasses for less than three weeks? There must have been some shoddy work involved in making those glasses. Prior to this, I used the same glasses for eight years without any issue (they were from My Eye Doctor). My Vision Care said I could buy the same frame from them and then they would put the lenses in the new frame. No thanks, I will be going to a different eye doctor to fix this issue. I have no reason to have any confidence that My Vision Care will not sell me another defective product. My Vision Care has wasted enough of my time and money with their unfair business practices. What a rip-off.
