Give it I have the wrong name of insurance but by me working in healthcare, I know if your give information such as social and other pertinent info the coverage will pop up. They told her that the information can not be verified because they wanted to go home at 7pm. Hello, I'm a customer of Visionworks and out of convenience I dealt with the Orland Park location. Today I needed some screws tightened on my eyeglasses and this particular employee who helped me just gives me a feeling that I'm inconveniencing her. After she tightened the screws and I tried them on and noticed fingerprints left from the repair. I asked her to please clean my glasses without an explanation on why. I received a look from her that I was dirt! I said thank you anyway and then received no response from her. Why does management or store manager not recognize this unless she is the store manager? Originally I ordered my pair of glasses from another worker there that was very pleasant and very helpful. Though originally this troubled person was going to help me but fortunately this kind lady took over. If you are looking for a pleasant or normal type of experience at the Orland Park store, just forget it and try a different location. Robert M read more

This is not against all visionworks just THIS location. I went to another visionworks and had an amazing experience so when I moved I did not hesitate to visit another visionworks. I had a very noticeable scratch on my lens so I went in to get it replaced. They said it would be no problem and they went ahead and ordered the replacement. When I got my glasses back I tried them on and my vision was very blurry. I told the lady something wasn't right and she said it's just because it's a new lens so I just had to get used to it. First of all I have had glasses for almost 15 years and second of all this was the same prescription so it shouldn't have changed except to not have the scratch anymore. She assured me it was okay and despite my doubt I walked out of the store. I made it over 3 stores before I felt sick to my stomach. I took my glasses off and inspected them. Now this part may not make sense. Based on if you're near or farsighted depends on the shape of your lens. I am near sighted so my lens are thicker on the outside part near away from the nose piece. The lens they replaced was opposite. It was thicker near the nose which is why my vision was all messed up. I went back in the store and told her it was not right and that's why. She still didn't take me seriously. I asked for her to take them for someone else to examine. 10 minutes later she came out with a man and he apologized profusely and stated exactly what I told the girl. It was cut wrong. I am so dissatisfied that she tried to play it off like I was crazy. This happened a year ago but despite that I decided to go back because I do not want to get new frames I just want new lens but when I called to ask about it they didn't answer their phones 3 times. I think it may be a sign I shouldn't go back. I will not fault all visionworks because like I stated before I had an AMAZING experience at another location so I will just walk away from this location and maybe try Tinley. Hopefully it's better there otherwise I may just write off visionworks all together. read more

Do not go there. The worse service ever. All they care about is to solicit your ratings. They will ask you for it. I have no problem giving a good rating when it is actually a good service I receive. But at visionworks, I had to wait for my glasses for a month. And they messed up on them still. They had me wait on hold for an hour while the look for my glasses. When actually went to get my glasses. They were not right at all. I could see through them at all. They tried push them on me saying your eyes will get used to them. I insisted to see the doctor and they had to schedule me an other two weeks. Ten the doctor determined that they were wrong and had to resend it. I sill did not get my glasses. Two months now. They got paid on time but never delivered the promised services. Do not go there. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would! This place, front end staff AND "doctors", need something more than whatever training they received. The front staff is so rude. Always. I've been here 3 times and I'm not quite sure why. Once was enough. Dr. Kate Sbledorio saw my 10 year old son this past Saturday. We went in for new glasses. She did an eye exam and asked if he's always had these "white spots" on his eyes. The answer was no. Long story short, she had a conversation regarding his vision and that she had "no idea" what it was and that she'd "never seen this in 28 years." Needless to say, everyone, including a scared 10 year old boy and his frantic mother (me) were on the verge of freaking out. Would he go blind? "I don't know." Would this impact his vision? "I don't know." What's the prognosis? "I don't know." What's the diagnosis? "I don't know." What does this mean? "I don't know." I've NEVER had a "doctor" have so little experience, such terrible "bed side manner" and so few answers...while doing all of this in front of a little kid. We left in tears with no explanation of what just happened. We will NEVER go back again. Please, for the sake of your sanity and health, stay away from this awful establishment. Made an appointment at this location because I went to the location in Tinley Park last year and had a great experience. I decided to go to the Orland location because Dr. Kate did my eye exam last year and she now worked at a more convenient location. I filled out the paperwork for my insurance coverage the day before and sent it back to them. When I showed up and told them my name the woman acted as if I didn't have an appointment. She reached into a drawer and pulled out forms with my info on them then told me they do not take my insurance! This has never happened to me before, in fact, I used this same insurance at the Tinley location last year without problems. I understand that things change but the least they could have done was let me know my insurance was not accepted there PRIOR TO MY ARRIVAL. Waiting until I show up is unacceptable, especially when they had this information in advance. Sorry Visionworks, I won't be back! read more

I went to this place because they have cheaper choices of glasses than where I usually go. I wish the owner of this place will make a surprise visit so they can see for themselves how some of their staffs who are on their cellphone talking, if not texting while with the patient which is something I've experienced. I was not comfortable trying on the frames because most were dusty and had fingerprints on them. Also the machines where they take pictures of your eyes , the base part were dusty. I had to wash my face/eyes right away, because I was worried I might get eye infection, not sure whether it was wiped with alcohol after it was used for someone before me. (Although there was one staff that was nice and accommodating ). Also, I was told they will call when my glasses were ready but no one called. I had to bring my kids to a different optometry after this experience. read more

Dear Orland Visionworks: please be honest when we ask "will the glasses be ready today?" if you say yes before we sit down for our eye exam, I would hope the answer would still be yes after the eye exam. (Hint: if your lab is closed on Sunday, and I'm getting an exam on Sunday--your answer should be NO, glasses will not be ready today)!!!!! Also, your worker was Rude. Rude. Horrible customer service. When we first went to order contacts, we weren't treated with a smile or even a hello. Just a roll of the eyes because we got there just as they were opening. It took over 2 months for my husbands contacts to come in. They didn't even call us to say they were in. We showed up asking where they are. And again they got pissed because of our timing as they were beginning to close. Got lippy with us, only to find out that they have been sitting in their cabinet. Never again will we go back. I had a fairly pleasant experience here a couple of months ago. My experiences were as follows: 1. Wait: I had an appt for an eye exam, but I was ten minutes late in arriving. I then waited about ten minutes to see the doctor. Seems fair. 2. The optometrist was great. Friendly, informative, and everything seemed right on the money from my exam last year. 3. Contact ordering process was easy, and I had a very nice woman who helped me pick out glasses as I'm not very good at finding ones that fit "me" (aesthetically) - and I am SUPER happy with what she helped me find. 4. My only complaint is that my contacts & glasses were scheduled to arrive approx 1.5 weeks later - which was three days before I was leaving town for a week. Well, you know how that usually works out - only the glasses were ready, and come to find out my contacts weren't even ordered yet. It was a definite mistake on their part, as I had already been charged for them. However, they put in a rush order and I was able to pick them up two days later, the day before I left town. They were very apologetic. All in all, despite their one mistake, I plan to come back for next year's exam. I just may order my contacts online next time instead of through them. read more

I had a great experience when I went to visionworks for my eye exam the first day, everyone was super nice and dr Christina is awesome. However, I was there for a follow up contact appointment on Saturday 10/28, and the woman who was working was the rudest person I've ever met. She glared at me the entire time I was there and seemed annoyed when I talked. She would look away when you talked to her and just flat out not respond. She made me feel awful and completely afraid of getting her to be the one to help me out that day. I have never felt so uncomfortable going to the eye doctors, and it was the worst experience I've ever had getting an eye exam. If it weren't for my experience yesterday I would've given five stars! read more

I woke up with what I thought was pink eye. I went into the store as soon as it opened. Dr. Kate personally helped me make arrangements to see a different doctor with different diagnostic capabilities to determine the cause of my pink eye. The support staff jumped in to help as well when Dr. Kate had to see appointments. Every staff member was kind and obviously, extremely helpful. I can not say thank you enough! read more

I went here even though it's a bit of a drive because I had a flyer for a really good sale they were having, $20 eye exam and free lenses PLUS a frame sale. Sounded like a good deal to me, since I'm on a very fixed budget. I get there and despite the place being nearly empty , they claimed they were too busy for walk-ins and wanted me to come back in a few days! No walk-ins AT A MALL LOCATION? Ridiculous. When I said I'd just go somewhere else, they suddenly could "squeeze me in" and told me it would be about an hour. Less than forty minutes later I got my exam, which went well and the optometrist was really friendly and seemed experienced. However, afterwards I had to sit and wait for someone to ring me up for the frames I had picked out during the earlier wait to see the doc, and after they finally show up she tells me I can't get the free lenses because I need some sort of special lens and only the plastic lenses were on sale. So I paid for my eye exam and left. Later I took the script to Walmart and guess what? I bought regular plastic lenses and there was no problem. Paid $80 for frames + lenses, less than what I would have paid here WITH the sale price if they had let me. Long story short, good optometrists here but they rip you off on the lenses/frames. Don't get lured in by false sales. I recommend Walmart over these clowns, just be sure to check reviews for your local store because some Walmart stores don't have great optometrists. read more

I was at the mall one day this summer during the week. I was walking around, shopping and saw that Visionworks was open and didn't look busy. I'd needed to get my eyes checked and get new glasses so I walked in and asked the woman at the desk if I could get an exam today. She said sure they could fit me in and within 10 minutes I was in the exam room and everything the doctor was looking at my eyes helping me out. She was very sweet, helped me with my dry eyes giving me a recommendation of drops I could use and also helped fit me for contacts. I really had a good experience. I decided to get glasses and they were ready in about 3 days. I always get my glasses only for cheap, but I have VSP insurance and realized I really needed to get glasses that had the anti-reflective coating. I really like my glasses and the manager who helped me pick out and order my glasses was really sweet and helpful. Great place! I'd go back and recommend it. read more
