The wife and myself have got oor glasses at this location for the past ten years. We went in today to order our next pair for the both of us. (We got our last pair the same day approx 2yrs ago.) [[HIGHLIGHT]]The male sales person with the curley hair was more interested in checking his Apple Watch for messages.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Other staff stepped in to help, no one could find her previous prescription. We were giver an oral estimate (said they could not print it). This quote was the same amount without them knowing which pair of frames the wife was going to choose. I've always a great experience with the associates who work at this location, and we always love our glasses when they are ready. I rated only three stars because my order was finished for over a week and even though they knew their automated notification system wasn't working well, but no one bothered to call. My son was dealing with headaches waiting for his new glasses. So it was just disappointing to find out that he endured those longer than necessary. read more

My daughter had a 1:30 appointment for a basic eye exam for glasses and it took over an hour to be seen by a doctor. When we arrived we were caught off guard by paperwork that could have been emailed beforehand. Then they had us wait another 15 minutes to do the vision tests then wait again until the doctor was available. After the exam was done, it was another 10 minutes until they were ready for us to check out. We arrived right on time and it took an hour and a half until we could leave (just for the eye exam appointment!). We decided to hold off on buying glasses and go elsewhere. The staff was complaining about being short staffed with 4 people in the front and very few customers (no more than 4 at a time the entire time we were there). Some of the staff had a bad attitude - not pleasant or helpful. It was apparent through the phone interactions we saw as well as our experience in the store. The doctor was great, very friendly and provided the right level of detail, explaining everything to my daughter. I added a star for that. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this location unless you have a lot of time to kill. read more

Set an appointment a day in advance on their super easy online appointment process. Upon arrival everyone in the front end of the office was attentive, helpful and very welcoming. Dr Patil answered all my questions and the exam was quick, painless and efficient. No wait time and no pressure to purchase glasses from there after exam(never expierenced that before-usually feel very pressured). I did end up going with glasses from there and the prices are pretty standard with other eye exams/glasses, can't wait to pick them up! read more

I am giving one star due to poor customer service about 2 weeks ago. A younger woman working there needed to go inside to get the appointment book, but never ever returned. I stood outside for a very long time, and I feel she did it on purpose, not sure why, she was about 5 foot tall, with very dark hair. DO NOT EVER GO THERE . I am not sure how they even still in business. Customer service is non-existent, NOBODY there knows their left hand from the right it is so sad that it its actually funny again at the same time. They are not helpful, they don't practice even the basics of any kind of customer service. Everyone acts like its the first day on the job. NOBODY EVER CALLS BACK. The manager is just as bad as every other employee so don't even bother talking to her. All I wanted is to get a pair of glasses, I have $600 in benefits I would like to use but my insurance is not widely known since its out of state but in network. My insurance called them TWICE and explained how to do their job and they still are looking like deer in the headlights. It is absolutely unbelievable, I definitely will spend my money elsewhere. Nicole, the manager at the store, was so sweet and helpful. Her overall attitude was so cheerful and so willing to help. She was sweet enough to fix a minor problem I had with my sunglass frames, and I hadn't even bought them from the store. My husband & I went in on May 6th, 2017. I've gone to Visionworks before, but not this location. However, I've always been pleased. And this trip started off great. Gabby, who helped me with the initial process of selecting frames, was great. She was patient, didn't pressure me to get glare reduction (which for some bizarre reason gives me migraines) and she was really pleasant to work with. Unfortunately, this is where the positive ends. Our "guaranteed ready date" was May 16, 2010. I took advantage of their BOGO program, in order to get both sunglasses and regular glasses (with progressive lenses). My husband also got a pair of glasses with Transition lenses at the same time. Both pairs of sunglasses were ready on time. But my regular glasses were not. We kept being told they should be ready in another day or so... but we never got the call saying they were. In fact, we never got ANY calls. We had to keep calling them. At one point I was told that the lenses had come in but didn't pass their quality inspection. While it's great they have a process like that, why on earth wouldn't they have called to notify me of this obvious and significant delay? Finally, on Memorial Day we had to go in, regardless. My husband was traveling and needed his new glasses. We live an hour away from the location, up in the mountains. Not surprisingly, my glasses were STILL not ready. My husband wasn't real thrilled with that news, but the person working that day told him that they were scheduled to be ready the following day (May 30th) and that they would be "overnighted" to our home. She also said she'd talk to the manager, after he asked what the point was of a "guaranteed ready" date when they clearly weren't ready and nothing was being done, in terms of compensation. Our mailbox isn't at our home, so while my husband was out of town, I was unable to check the mail to see if the glasses had been overnighted by USPS, but I didn't have high hopes. We checked the mail on June 5th, after he returned, and sure enough, no glasses. So I called. I was told they weren't ready. Still. Three weeks since the "guaranteed ready" date. The person I spoke with told me she would email the lab, but I probably won't hear from her until tomorrow. I said, and someone WILL call me this time? She got my number (which they already have on file) and said yes. We'll see if that actually happens. Regardless, the complete and utter failure to communicate with me during this incredibly long delay is unacceptable, unprofessional, not what I've come to expect from Visionworks and unbelievably frustrating. I still don't get the point of a "guaranteed ready" date if nothing - including even a phone call! - is going to happen when they're NOT ready by that date. I will be pursuing at least a PARTIAL refund of the glasses, as this is utterly absurd. But right now I'd just like to actually get them, finally. read more

Came in the morning with my Girlfriend for an eye exam on July 19th. The woman giving the exam has a dry sense of humor that was uncalled for. She seems to be tired and worn out of her job. I had to leave and wait outside for I was going to share my thoughts on her energy that really disturbed me greatly. The exam was okay, doctor was pleasant. However the process of getting my contacts has been frustrating and I have been at the whim of however the front desk feels that day. Crystal was very rude and unwilling to help. Not only are my contacts on back order -- even though I received a promise date of 5/26 that now "doesn't matter" per Crystal, she was unwilling to help me with getting trials at another office. Even though, last week I was helped by another employee, whose name I can't remember. She (the other employee) was kind enough to call a different store and have them put my trials aside for me. However, I could not make it to that vision works location prior to them closing for the day. Per Crystal, employees "don't do that" even though I explained multiple times what my experience was just LAST WEEK, but she proceeded to gas light me and keep her ugly tone. I will not be coming back to this Visionworks location once I receive my contacts. Crystal claimed she still could not give me an updated date for my contact arrival and I would have to call the other locations MYSELF to ask for trials. read more

My visit to Visionworks was a first for me and I was impressed by the level of commitment the doctor and staff were. Dr. M. Teske, O.D. is a testament of skilled and committed doctors everywhere. Her consistency in assessing her patients through conversation and questions equated to making a more informed choice. In fact after 20 years, no other optometrist has bothered to ask some of the simple questions she did. Thanks to the information provided, when faced to decide on save on cost versus go for the higher quality contact lens I chose the better lens. What that meant was higher quality vision for me driving at night so it was about safety. This would not have happened with your average optometrist. read more

my experience last year was stellar. Now they bug me constantly that I am overdue for an exam and my insurance wont kick in til January 2020. then I went to try contacts and it was like a three ring circus. No one seemed like they cared to be there nor care about the customers. No kind or encouraging words were spoken. I had a terrible time and seriously the technician had nothing to help me with. I believed my price paid was for contacts and an exam. nope. found out a month later when my contacts still had not come in ( i was using trial ones that i had to have replaced twice) because they were never ordered. I was not informed I would have to pay an additional hundred dollars to get the real contacts. When I did come in for replacement lens no one could find my records and gee whiz when I got a new pair they were labeled wrong and left was in the right and right in the left.... I do not live close and I felt like a yo-yo. not to mention they should have told me not to drive with them the first time out....Very unprofessional, unhappy people. read more

Not a good experience, It started with the clerk telling me things were mis-priced despite it being tagged on the glasses in two locations, after reviewing my receipt and finding lens designation errors and calling to cancel within 24 hours (being on hold for an hour or more) then waiting for another appointment time a week later to adjust the contract or pick a less expensive pair, seeing the same pair from the first contract, still marked the same price in store, I pick out a cheaper pair and then was told oh no those are also miss marked. Such a scam, and no I am not stupid just to polite to throw a public fit in person, but gosh I am pretty upset and humiliated now and I strongly encourage anyone needing glasses to go elsewhere the selection is limited and you will be lied to about a myriad of things including what you insurance co-pay is, despite presenting them with your complete insurance documents. I will be posting my story on every public review, I gave them a polite and full opportunity to just do the right thing, what a waste of time. read more

My husband had an appointment and waited an hour and half just to be seen!!! Why take appointments if you're just going to make people sit around and wait?? He also filled out all of the forms online and when he got there, they said he didn't and he had to fill them out again. Save your time and go elsewhere. read more

I walked in there and asked for the price of a contact lenses exam. The new girl was not well trained and told me $60. Later they charged me $118. The customer rep Roxy gave me an incredible attitude and told me, that I she will not release the prescription if I don't pay the $118. Even I liked the new doctor, I am not going back there. They have to train their staff better or work with the customer . Too spoiled. read more

I found the customer care to be abysmal. Dr. Sider did an excellent exam. She escorted me to the display of frames. I was never greeted by the sales staff. I found one of the staff checking her personal cell phone every five minutes or so. I paid my bill and left with my prescription. I will be shopping for glasses elsewhere. read more

Ehhh... I was a walk in but a customer for 3-4 years It took about an hour and a half maybe all together.It would have been nice if I was told to come back later so I could run some errands,heads up Vision Works. I took sometime after being a walk in to look at glasses,I waited over a half hour in the room where I was waiting for the dr to come in after someone sat me down. After the exam I gave the frames to the person that was helping me and they said they were too big for my face,she said to look at child frames?? I don't know about other adults out there but I don't see a ton of variety when it comes to child frames. I didn't really like any of them except for one pair (they were expensive) yet I had already made up my mind...I didn't look horrible in the ones I chose,I have an oval face and things usually work well. Kinda upset on how a sales person said no! It's the first time in my 24 years of wearing glasses I was told so. I bought my 12 year old son glasses a month ago. They were broke at recess. I am trying to order him replacement frames since they can't be fixed. The store is closed, so I tried to doing an online chat. That is only a robot and couldn't help me. So, I called the main 800 number. They can't order them for who knows what reason and told me I need to call the store. So, I called another store because the store I bought them from is closed on a Monday. (weird) and they "don't have them in stock". I said, "ok can you please just order the frames." She said she can't. I said, So, if someone breaks their original frames, that hold the already specific lenses to fit those frames, you can't order them?? I am sure kids break their frames all of the time!!! She said because of "inventory" this week, no. But maybe in a week or so. WHAT?? My kiddo's prescription is so bad that he can't see without them. I will never buy glasses from here again!!! I've had a great experience here since I've used them for a couple years now. I was very lucky since I was still on my dad's insurance that I didn't have to pay for my frames or lenses and just the exam if I remember correctly. Everyone has always been friendly with me and very helpful! I unfortunately have to look for anew place to visit since Visionworks doesn't except my new insurance I'm on. I have not purchased glasses for driving in ten years. I was a little shocked by how much they cost but I'm telling you, loved the service, loved the glasses.
