Took my prescription there because of my insurance offering special deal. Bottom line, almost all the frames are close in price. The real mystery is how they calculate the lenses. You're not shown the itemized list before you pay. The store is easy to access and clean. Nice selection of lenses but you're not offered any help to select them. The employees were not rude but certainly not happy to help. We are welcomed more going to the grocery store. We stood there for a long time before the even acknowledged we were there. read more

There are 4 different Visionworks stores that are within about a 15 mile radius of my home. I have purchased glasses from each one of them over the years and this is the one I like the best. The staff is always friendly and helpful whether we are buying new glasses or getting our current ones adjusted. All of my experiences have been positive at this location (which I can't say about all of the other ones) so I would definitely recommend this store. read more

I was told that I couldn't be seen at 5:45 after LEAVING MY EYE EXAM because it was too close to 6:00! which was very inconvenient for me because I had already took off work to get there, this older white lady told me to come back the next day even after explaining to her that this was my only off day! read more

I'm not doing that again! While the employees were nice, they were quite confused the entire visit. They couldn't figure out their paperwork and wasted about an hour waiting for a single manager to help with everything given none of the other employees who worked there seemed to know how to do their jobs. The frames are fine, but the lenses have been horrible. I've never had issues with lenses before from anywhere else. They scratched REALLY easily even with the anti-scratch (scratch resistant? I forget what they called it). I've never in my life scratched glasses, these scratched within the first two weeks of owning them. The lenses themselves never felt right, I should have returned them immediately, so that was my own fault. read more

Staff is awesome. I purchase my own frames elsewhere but have had the lenses filled at this Visionworks and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I've come back a couple of time to have the frame's arms tightened, and they've never hesitated to help. Recently I needed help moving my lenses from a broken pair of glasses to the replacement pair. Not only did they help, the cleaned both my Rx lenses and my sunglass lenses, awesome! This location offers a wide selection of designed and budget frames. The prices are pretty nice and there's a look for just about everyone. Most lenses are filled on-site same day. There's an optometrist next door if you need an eye exam- not sure if Visionworks partners with this office but it's definitely nice to have them side-by-side. Price for lenses is extremely reasonable and most insurance plans are accepted. I'll keep coming back for the exemplary service! read more

I was looking for a reasonable priced placed to purchase frames, accepted my insurance and had quality products. I got in/out and done in 40 minutes and it was great. Mycca was a great help in narrowing down so many choices, presented the different lense options and off I went. I am looking forward to picking up my new glasses soon. The ladies in there made what should have been an easy experience getting glasses, unbelievably difficult. They were very dismissive and rude, did not teach me about my lens options, and quoted me an astronomical price for lenses . The lady was not helpful , loud and rude to US, my daughter ask me while she is so loud. We will not go back there again, and the price and frame she quote us is $590. So we go across the parking lot to America's Best Eyeglasses for $230. read more

Visionworks has gone above and beyond to help me with my glasses. I've had a couple of issues with the design which was not their fault but they replaced the glasses anyway. They are always happy to help and helped me pick a good style for me. They have adjusted my glasses many times and always happy to help. read more

General Manager was very nice and replaced my nose pads on an older pair of glasses I bought at Vision Works a few years ago. She also provided me a new glass case free of charge. When I need new frames I am definitely returning to this VisionWorks location. read more

Worst place to get your glasses! Myra the GM never is there and does nothing to help you! The employees there brush you off and don't want to help you. They even screwed my glasses up and they do nothing to try and help fix there mistake. read more

This is my first negative review ever. I've always been one to offer praise and accolades for a job well done. However, this situation was handled so poorly that I had to speak out. This store LOST my daughters $600.00 duplicate glasses that were supposed to be overnighted to another location only 2 1/2 hours away. They also neglected to take a record of the tracking number so they can't even be located. She is away at college attending summer classes and needed a replacement for the glasses she had purchased from them just a few months earlier. She has no other way to see and was desperately awaiting delivery. It was a critical rush order for which I had to even repurchase the frames online from a different vendor because Visionworks no longer carried them. The whole process took almost 2 weeks for them to order in her complex lenses and place into the Kate Spade frames I provided them. All they had to do was transfer to their sister location for her to pick up. Not only did they not arrive the next day, it is now a WEEK later and they have yet to appear. I had been extremely patient and understanding until it became evident these glasses were clearly lost. The "general manager", Taylor, was very patronizing and condescending.. Rather than taking responsibility for their gross error and making things right, she continued to repeat what she would NOT do and refused to give me her supervisors name/number. She said I was welcome to call the 800 number. We have done business with this company for years. Under the circumstances, from a customer service perspective I would have offered a refund and remanufactured another pair. This manager refused to do anything of the sort. I've now requested a refund and we will never do business with this company again. read more

If I could give negative rating, I would. I am not impressed with VisionWorks. I came here 5 years ago for glasses and wanted to buy a new pair since I had a positive experience last time. Apparently they got rid of all their good staff and hired a bunch of monkeys who stand around and do not assist customers until you pull your wallet out and flash them a credit card.I was there at a non busy time so this is no excuse. They had one other customer and that's it. I still had to hunt someone down when I was ready to make my purchase. The staff were ridiculously incompetent that it made me think they just hired ANYONE off the street. Their Sales girl Arti tried to high ball me on the sales instead of telling me all my options for lenses. They could not tell me a set date for my lenses and seemed to pull deadlines out their you-know-whats. They waited til near closing time (when I'm about 10-15 mins away from the store) to call me to notify my glasses were ready. I did the buy one get one free option at the store and specifically asked for one pair to be completed first. Staff messed that up and gave me the pair I didn't want first. Sales girl Arti again shrugs it off and just basically says "Oops, we made a mistake." Does not offer to correct it or even sympathize. She said the second pair would take 3 days. They never called. I have to call them days after to find out if my second pair is even ready. I talk to a manager named Danny and he explains there's a DEFECT in my lens but doesn't want to tell me what it is. I have to force him to tell me and at that point I could care less what is wrong: you WAITED to tell me until I called YOU instead of letting me know the day my glasses were supposed to be ready. He just assumes I "won't be able to see it anyway". Umm... what? Sorry, but I paid $300 on my prescription lenses here. I would've paid near $700 if not for the promotion since I don't have vision insurance. I don't have dispensable income to be throwing around at people who want to jack around with their customers. After I get my REFUND for the defective pair of glasses, I will NOT be returning to your Grapevine, TX location (or for that matter ANY Vision Works and I'll let others know how HORRIBLE your services are) read more

Terrible staffing. My daughter and I waited patiently for 30 minutes while we were told well get to you as soon as we can. The staff would help people who hovered over them or if they just walked in and up to the counter. A lady who came in obviously later then us flat out lied and said she was there before us. She was buying readers we had already picked out our frames, had the prescription and we're ready to buy our $300 pair of glasses.
