Earlier this year we went through and remodeled our first floor. We hired Vision Painting Plus to paint our kitchen cabinets, walls, doors, baseboards, stairway, upstairs hallway and ceiling. If you have ever lived through a remodel you can understand how stressful the process can be. When I realized in the middle of the project that the color I had picked for the front room/stairwell/upstairs hallway wasn't going to work, Carlos listened to my ideas about the look I was trying to achieve and he suggested a color and painted some color swatches on the wall to show me how the light of the room would impact the color, and it was a perfect choice. He was supposed to come back to paint the picket fence and back stair, but he keeps ghosting me. Carlos (owner of the business) and his crew have been great to work with and we're pleased with the results with both our exterior paint job and refinishing of our redwood decks. All the guys have been easy to interact with and customer focused. Carlos was flexible and facilitated our decision on the type and color of stain to use for the deck. He initially suggested two different stains, neither of which we liked. Then brought a third from different manufacturer, which brought out much of the original colors in the wood. He also applied a brightener after the original chemical power wash, to provide the best possible outcome. Finally, Carlos guided his carpenter to revise a rebuilt step, because we realized that the rise was too shallow as compared to the other steps. First time hiring a painter. Not one single regret. I felt the price was fair and they did a great job. Truly. We encountered a few delays, but Carlos communicated with us throughout. Super easy to work with, too. We spotted some areas that needed attention and it was more of an, "oh yeah, I see that too" kind of convo. Don't hesitate. Carlos is a great pick. And one final thing that says a lot: the clean-up. It was like they were never there! Can't say the same for other contractors we've used. I was expecting to find water bottles or other types of trash...but nothing. Complete respect. 4/17 update: Was working outside this week and more and more, I notice little details that were not overlooked. 2 yrs later, my house still looks crisp and well done. We had a good experience getting our kitchen repainted. They would get 5 stars for service and communication, 4 stars for their work, and 3 stars for preparation. 5 stars because Carlos responds quickly and answers questions thoroughly. He was easy to work with and had a reasonable price for the job. 4 stars because the paint looked wonderful. It was consistent, smooth to the touch, and just well done. However, after 2 months, very small pieces would chip off. They aren't quickly noticeable, but you can see it. My cabinets were damaged and in bad condition before, so maybe the primer didn't adhere great. I didn't expect that to happen so soon. Oh well! 3 stars for preparation because I don't think they closed off the area as efficiently as they could and they really didn't explain how much fumes and dust would be all over my home.... They taped up one thick single sheet of plastic everyday, but it wasn't enough. When starting the job, they said it should be ok with minor dust because they could close off the kitchen. When I came home, I could run my finger over my sofa and tv console and have an inch of buildup. I should have covered everything with sheets or canvas tarps. I just wasn't told that it would be that dusty... Before they started, I emptied my entire kitchen and put everything in a separate room. They covered my dining table with a drop sheet of plastic taped to the floor and after the work was done, that table had a ton of dust too... My fish tank is in a hallway over 40 feet away and around the corner with a closed lid. The build up of dust on the water was unbelievable. I could barely see my fish... We also kept my toaster in the adjacent living room (there is wall in between the rooms) and it smelled like paint dust every time we used it. I finally just threw it out. I didn't know if when we used it paint particles were getting on our bread.... Looking back now, I wish I knew ahead of time and would have stored EVERYTHING in plastic bins or the garage. I would have covered my furniture with cloths too. Lesson learned! Aside from that, we had a good experience working with this company. :) Forgot to add, we had Carlos update our baseboards for us on the entire bottom floor and they came out wonderful! read more

Vision Painting completed a house in Livermore, and used Benjamin Moore paint. They also used an elastic paint on the stucco, which sealed all slight hairline cracks, etc. Crew did an excellent job. Thank you. As a suggestion on the painting of a house, foreman should sample colors on the walls/trims and check with owner to make sure colors are to satisfaction before proceeding. Many times, paint color on paint sample chips don't look like the actual color when on house. read more

By accurate I mean the painting estimate was on the money with no hidden charges and emailed that evening. Once we decided to go with Vision Painting Plus, Carlos gave us a start date and an estimate as to how long the job was going to take.
