This place was pretty busy on a Friday evening for dinner, so it seems like people enjoy it. However nothing really impressed me. The food was alright, the servers were nice, decor was good and overall a so-so place. It's a simple concept w traditional dishes, but nothing really scream's amazing.

I tried the Lunch Buffett at this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. This place is purely vegetarian and is affiliated with the famous chef - 'Vishnu Manohar'. This restaurant famously serves 'Maharashtrian food cooked home style with healthy ingredients'. Let me be frank with you guys, I just avoid going to places that are purely vegetarian because you never know what you'll end up getting, sometimes the food is sweet, sometimes the greens that they offer are not a part of your diet or maybe they don't have enough options for you to get excited about. So, when my friends suggested this place, I was a bit skeptical, to say the least. This restaurant just blew me away. Let's talk about food; they had a couple of fried appetizers (mix pakora and palak pakora) Dal, rice, a few entrees (Chloe, aloo-bhindi and cabbage) and a couple of deserts (Gulab Jamun and Mango phirni) along with papad and soup. I never got the chance to try the soup but my god the rest of the food was delicious. The aloo-bhindi was the star of the afternoon. It was authentic Maharashtrian tasting and the potatoes were so soft it would just melt in our mouths. Dal had the home style flavor and tasted excellent with rice and Chloe. Over to the deserts section, Gulab Jamun was typical and nothing fancy, but the mango phirni was just unbelievable. Papad was ok, I mean it's papad, what more do you expect? For $15, this Buffett was an absolute steal. The soul of Maharashtra can be felt after tasting the food here. I wanted to try the much talked about Misal-Pav but I was told they don't serve that during lunch Buffett which was a bummer. Not everything on the menu would be called cheap but it's reasonable. There are times in your life living outside of your home town that you wish for some 'Ghar ka Khana' (home cooked food) and this place just hits you with nostalgia. It's almost an exact replica of what you would get, food wise at least, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The authentic Dal with rice, the bhendi sabji paired with soft, home cooked style roti and the Chloe would just remind you of home. The lunch Buffett was extremely satisfying and kept us full for the rest of the evening (quite literally). Do give this place a visit if you're in the mood to give Maharashtrian food a try.

Having lived in Mumbai for 21 years, Maharashtrian food is very close to my heart and this restaurant did complete justice to it. This restaurant is owned by a famous chef in India. I would highly suggest trying Kothambir wadi (coriander is the key ingredient), sabudana vada (tapioca), vada pav, misal pav and thali peeth. We've also tried other dishes like pitla bhakar and they taste good as well. In terms of the food and taste, this restaurant has been consistent. Now, people would argue but you can definitely try it once (don't completely rely on the bad star ratings that the restaurant has got). Now, the service is a little slow because they are short staffed and in these difficult times I believe to support local restaurants. I highly recommend the food here, plus reasonable prices. You got a good deal

Visited this restaurant on a Sunday for lunch and was extremely pleased with my food and overall experience. The Sunday lunch was $13.99 from 11:30 to 2:30 and it was a vegetarian buffet that consisted of simple Maharashtrian food that was filled with flavor yet felt light and healthy! The menu had a lot of variety in terms of small bites, various Subjis (curries), and a pleasant surprise of roti's as opposed to naan's. This was a pleasant lunch experience that I will definitely remember when I visit again!

4.5 Stars... maintaining such good quality even after many years. Well done Madam..... small tip, pls put less ajinomotto in chinese dishes, it was way too high. Some Butter up from top will make it the best pavBhaji & DalMakhani in town. 5 stars otherwise and good portions

Namaste We were at VKR to eat buffet. The variety of dishes was incredible. Fantastic tasting too. Also they had Poori in the buffet. The pakoras were awesome. Bindi do pyaaza melted my heart. It had the right amount of spices. Kadi was wonderful. I enjoyed Cauliflower soup also. The vegetarian food was so good that it could have given famous Indian restaurants in India stiff competition. I ate a lot. But when I saw Shrikand there, the food in my stomach gave way for the Royal sweet dish. The most important thing, I saw many people doing service there. Not 1was looking at their mobile device. I admire the dedication and commitment to the customers. Hearty congratulations. Best wishes for continued success.

Food was great! Service could be better but worth the wait. The place looks alright it could be cleaner but if you want to try vegan Indian food, this is the place to go.

We ordered Pithale Bhakri & Zunka Bhakri for lunch today. The size of the Bhakris were pretty small & just by the look & feel it was not fresh. Very disappointed that they do this on & off. The Pithale & Zunka was good.

My guy and I went for brunch one Sunday and there was a 45 minute to 1 hrs wait for seating or bar…read moreside seating for immediate service and one we were seated, we understood why. First off the menu options are varied making it hard to choose just one entree. Did we want pancakes or French toast or biscuits....so hard. We were seated at the back of the restaurant, kitchen side and it was so fascinating to see meals as they were prepped to go out to patrons. Everything looked fresh, delicious, and made to order and the portions were definitely shareable. We started off with brunch cocktails and even received a comp croissant beignet appetizer which was absolutely amazing. They were flacky on the outside and butter soft inside with amazing Nutella dipping sauce. We decided to go with a green goddess salad with all the yummy veggies, French toast, and pancakes for the table. This is a great place to dine alone and with family, friends, or a brunch date. Its very farmhouse chic and cant what to go back and try more of the menu. They will always get a recommendation from me. If you've been looking for a brunch, breakfast, or lunch spot, you've just found it.

The place was so crowded that it was ridiculous. Don't think the fire marshal would have been pleased with the crowd and the crowd management. The place was hot. HVAC was not good. The place had really bad noise management. You couldn't even hear the person across the table. Very frustrating. Maybe they need better ceiling tiles to manage noise.

I visited Mexican Cactus Taco Bar expecting your typical strip mall taco joint with decent tacos…read moreand some TVs to watch a World Cup match, but WOW did I underestimate what I was in for. I knew from the second we walked in, based on the list of made-in-house horchatas and agua frescas, that we were going to be in for a good meal. The menu was refreshingly unique compared to your basic street taco style setup or the usual Tex-Mex mashup of inauthentic tacos topped with shredded cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Our group of 3 adults, plus my 7 year old niece, shared a bowl of guacamole, which was phenomenal and came mixed with sunflower seeds and topped with crumbled cotija, alongside house-made corn tortilla chips. We also split an elote cup, which was great. My wife got a classic horchata, which was deliciously sweet (but not overly so) with a nice slight punch of cinnamon. I went with water but will definitely try an agua fresca next time. I ordered two tacos, both on house-made flour tortillas (I like corn tortillas but prefer flour when made fresh). The Pollo Azteca, with marinated grilled chicken tenderloin, mango pico, and a drizzle of crema, was phenomenal, and had more flavor than most chicken tacos I've had before. The star of my meal, however, was the Al Pastor, with adobo marinated pork tenderloin, diced pineapple, onions, and cilantro, with a slice of lime to squeeze on top. This was hands down one of the best tacos I've ever had in my life. I was floored. I also tried my wife's Carne Asada tacos, which came topped with cilantro and onions, and a slice of lime, on their house made corn tortillas. The steak was incredibly flavorful, and the corn tortillas were tender without being chewy. We shared a side of rice and beans, which was good, but not the star of the show. The rice was your typical Mexican yellow rice, and the beans were more of a soupy whole-beans style, which reminded me of my Colombian mother-in-law's recipe. The staff makes four homemade salsas, ranging from mild to pretty spicy, and I loved all of them with the exception of the mild. My niece got the kids' cheese quesadilla, which was a simple melted Oaxaca cheese between a flour tortilla, served with rice, beans, and a little side of crema. The last thing I will rave about is the service. The staff was incredibly nice from the minute we walked in, pleasant to talk to when delivering our order and asking how everything was tasting, to the moment we bussed our tables and headed for the door. I cannot wait to come back again, and I hope they stay very busy until I'm able to do so, because I want this place to be around for a very long time!
