This Mediterranean restaurant is located in downtown Edmonton on 124 street. VISH provides fresh, healthy and nutritious options made to order with heartwarming hospitality. The food is very flavorful and fresh. My favourite was the VISH Tasting Platter; I really enjoyed all the different dips, each with a unique flavour profile. The bread was warm, light and fluffy, perfect for dipping. The portions were so generous that I actually had to pack everything up. The decor is fresh with lots of green and natural lighting.

Hummus, hummus, hummus. So many vegan and vegetarian options. We walked down 124th St. and were able to snag a nice table on the "patio".They have a couple bistro tables set out on the sidewalk. My husband ordered a wrap and I ordered hummus with mushrooms. Both were very good. The staff was very friendly and the food came out quickly. You can get any hummus plate put into a wrap.

Have a hearty meal and feel virtuous and healthy, too. This is next level hummus from a hummus bar chain in Israel. Small restaurant on 124 serving vegetarian food. Everything is fresh and delish! We had Vish sabich (mushrooms and eggplant) and Vish Jerusalem w nuts and just about everything. Served w fluffy pita. We had the chopped salad. We were super full! Next time, we'll try their drinks! They look great. Too full for their yummy truffles. Next time!

If you're looking for an authentic Mediterranean meal, check-out Vish anytime of the week & they are sure to deliver what you're looking for! Each dish is fresh, delicious & full of flavor! We've tried the following: Happy All Day Brunch - Moroccan sweet red pepper and spicy tomato sauce, 2 poached eggs, small chopped salad, hummus dip, tahini dip, babaganoush, hot peppers salad. Served with Challah bread BBQ Pulled Beef Combo Plate - 24 hrs. slow-cooked brisket, hummus, tahini, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, parsley, pickled red onion Chicken Shawarma - Hummus, tahini, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, parsley, pickled red onion Falafel Pita Pocket - Hummus, tahini, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, parsley Memory Shake - Vish tahini, banana, dates, cocoa beans, peanut butter, cashew, almond milk Believe it or not, we all liked everything that we've tried - from the Challah which was warm & soft to the tasty dipping sauces, to the succulent BBQ pulled beef combo plate, to the pita pockets (the chicken curry & the falafels-- so good!) & the high protein creamy Memory Shake! Just hands-down! Try it for yourself! You will definitely like it! For service, Barak (hope I got that spelling right) was very welcoming & accommodating to our requests. He was also tried to explain each dish to us with enthusiasm. For ambiance, the resto has a calm & cozy feel. We went during lunch time on a Friday, & it was a bit busy. Nevertheless, customers were all attended for.

Vegan shawarma hummus bowl with falafel added on.

I have been fascinated with the idea of hummus being the main part of a meal, as opposed to a side dip or sandwich spread, but at VISH hummus is the star. I had delivery last week, and went for the vegan shawarma bowl and added a side of falafel balls. The vegan shawarma was well-seasoned and had a texture reminiscent of the chicken it was replacing. The falafel balls were crispy and of the green fava bean variety. I placed them in the hummus bowl, along with the vegan shawarma that dominated the bowl's centre. But what really dominated the meal was the hummus. I have never had such creamy hummus before. It had the consistency of a nut spread - and speaking of which, had a very nutty flavour. The warm pits on the side was the perfect accompaniment. While I thought the bowl was a little on the pricey side, the portion is deceptively large and I ended up with another lunch from it. Two people could easily share. I'm looking forward to trying other menu items.

Vish recently opened their first Canadian location on 10326 124 street (a few doors down from Remedy cafe). They're an urban hummus bar serving hot hummus dishes with a variety of toppings and Yemen pita bread, so there are lots of vegetarian and vegan options that are rich in nutritional values Here's what I got to try: -vishuka hummus with poached egg, Moroccan sweet red pepper & spicy tomato sauce (loved how it was all made fresh to order and the warmth of the hummus was definitely a nice change from what I'm used to) -babaganoush, hot peppers and Turkish salad -falafel, olives and pickles -Yemen pita bread, spicy green paste and garlic & lemon juice sauce -memory shake (banana, dates, peanut butter, tahini, cashew & almond milk) -"malabi" milk pudding with a sweet rose drizzle (this was to die for ) If I'm being completely honest, I was blown away by the deliciousness of every single item as well as the service and hospitality. This business is such an amazing addition to 124th street and the Edmonton food scene. Which items are you guys most excited to try?

Great cozy space and you gotta try the malabi! I loved how they have a variety of hummus and other dips too! Bread and pita were fresh, warm, and soft which complimented the Shakshuka and hummus well! The concept of sandvishes is great and the bbq pulled beef was tender.

Finally we got to try this place and man it was so so so so soooo good!! I'm a meat head I absolutely love meat but man this was sooo good! The hummus was amazing and just everything was way to good. Everything is so fresh, sure it takes a little time to get your food but is so worth it and so so good. The sandwich was so amazing like I cannot wait to go back there and have it again.

The appetizing, tasty & colourful spread of food that we had vishcanada! We pretty much had a taste of everything from the super smooth og hummus, classic shakshuka (sweet r red peppers & tomatoes) , hummus dip, tahini dip & falafel. Of note for sure were the pitas and gorgeous challah bread accompanying the meal. Their hummus is made fresh on the spot- pretty much the second that you order. We ended our meal with a lusciously soft & refreshing Malabi dessert (custardy topped with rose water & toasted coconuts).

Always so tasty here. I've taken so many family and friends here. From the smoothies, combo plates, to their pita pockets. Most things are made to order, and you can really taste that. I like that they offer meat options for non-vegans too now. The atmosphere is always clean, and the staff are always courteous. We will definitely be back.

Vish has AMAZING warm and creamy hummus and pita, given that they are a hummus bar it makes sense. I ventured out and ordered the shawarma platter and did not enjoy it as much as the hummus that so I would stick to the hummus based menu items! Service was very quick and I love the warm interior.

Forget what you think you know about hummus, because Vish is a modern hummus bar that's bringing hummus to the main event - it's not just a dip here. Hot hummus dishes are made to order with a variety of toppings like chickpeas, fava beans, shakshuka, eggplant, mushrooms or vegan shawarma. Don't sleep on the house made falafel with the brightest green interior and mouth watering salads. All designed to be scooped up with pita bread baked fresh daily to wipe your plate clean. (That's where the namesake 'Vish' originates - it's a slang word meaning 'wipe', the most authentic way to enjoy hummus.) Also on the menu are plant-based shakes free from sugar, preservatives or artificial flavours and colours - and they all sound delicious! Finally, end it off with a classic Mediterranean coffee infused with cardamom (boosting digestion without boosting the nervous system), and their incredible desserts: malabi (think creamy panna cotta with a fruity sauce and toasted coconut) & decadent chocolate tahini truffles. The entire menu is vegetarian/vegan with the exception of eggs in a couple dishes, that can be removed, and dairy in the malabi - and let me tell you, it was all so filling & flavourful, we did not miss having meat at all! Lastly, the menu is super reasonably priced, you're going to leave satisfied without breaking the bank! A bright space with a view into the open kitchen, it's a unique addition to the 124 St food offerings!

We have eaten at this restaurant several times! the food is delicious! The employees there are very nice and helpful, great hummus and pita!!!!! For those who missed real authentic hummus, this is the place!

I went with the Spicy Eggplant with coconut rice - Chinese eggplant quartered and stir-fried in a sweet and savory chili sauce. My friend chose this as well. We also started with the Roti Canai -Grilled Indonesian flatbread served with a curry dipping sauce. This is my favourite dish on the menu. I usually order this. Both dishes were excellent and fresh. I love the flakey roti and the dipping sauce has the right amount of curry in it. The eggplant was tasty as well and perfectly cooked. The Curry Chicken was flavorful, creamy, and had a little kick from the spice but it was great. The Dendeng was great too, loved the sauce that covered it. I'm also really impressed by the different veggie meats they used in all of the dishes, they all tasted good. Service was fast and all the servers were so thoughtful and accommodating. They've been on quite a turbulent journey to say the least. Die Pie first opened their doors downtown on Jasper Ave in 2017. Then the pandemic hit and threw everything into question and they ended up moving to 97th in the Boyle Street area in 2020. Then, sadly, later in 2020 they announced that Die Pie would be closing it's doors for good. It seemed that everything had come to an unfortunate and heart breaking end. But there was some hope when the pizzas became available at their sister business Seitans in the 5th Street Food Hall in 2021. ...And then in 2023, rising from the ashes, Die Pie opened once again, this time on 105th Street in Queen Mary Park. Nothing short of a roller coaster, I'm not sure how they've done it. However, their legion of devoted fans certainly wants their plant-based pizza revolution to continue. VUE Weekly named Die Pie # 1 Pizza (Classic) 2018 and # 1 Best Pizza (Thin Crust) 2018. Yes, the pizza is meatless but this is a place that can compete with all of the rest. You need to try it for yourself to believe it! I was so pleased to visit for the first time on a Saturday evening and I would totally describe the restaurant and location as "industrial-chic." They've got plenty of space with a fun tropical vibe from the pink-sided bar area to the pink-and-green frond print on the chairs. The best decor item of all, without a question, is the huge original Jasper Ave restaurant sign that now hangs inside. What a testament to their resiliency. There's a little stage area that must be great for live music and other such performances. Speaking of music, the tunes at Die Pie are absolute perfection and I found myself dancing and singing in my seat for the majority of my visit - we must have very similar taste in music. Our server was helpful and friendly, happy to give us the time that we needed to make our way through the extensive menu. There's quite a lot more than just pizza! I'm not much of a pop-drinker but I do enjoy a soda with pizza from time to time. I really like that Die Pie doesn't serve the mainstream brands and instead opts for Jarritos (which I love), Wild Brewing Kombucha, and Phillips Soda Works from Victoria. We chose a Speed King Craft Cola ($5.00) and an Intergalactic Root Beer ($5.00), both from Phillips. The art on the can alone is worth it. I really like a craft cola made with cane sugar a lot. You've probably heard people talk about Mexican cola and how it's a far superior product - and the cane sugar is why. Using cane sugar makes the flavour so much better. Speed King is made with actual kola nut as well as cane sugar, has a rich flavour, and somehow isn't too sweet. The Intergalactic was interesting because it actually tasted like real root beer. The amber colour is not typically expected and the flavour of licorice root, cloves, and cane sugar creates a beverage that tastes much more authentic. They both paired wonderfully with the pizza. The food menu involves a lot! You'll find a whole host of starters, fried chickun (which I believe is Seitans main thing, now available at Die Pie), pasta, and burgers. And of course there is pizza. A lot of pizza. I was excited to start my meal with some Bites (there are four types) which I remember very well from my 5th Street Food Hall visits. This time I chose the Kimchi Bites (Sourdough bites stuffed with chedda, extra virgin olive oil, sunflower parmesan, and housemade kimchi - $16.00) because they sound so unique. However, the chedda, donair, and pickle versions are excellent options as well. These little tender and twirly dough balls are served with two dips of your choice and they've got twelve to select from! Gochujang Dip seemed like an obvious pick and we also got Garlic Aioli Dip for a more cooling option. If you love Die Pie's soft and fluffy pizza dough (and you do) this is just another way to get more of it. Pungent, acidic kimchi is wrapped within the dough like a soft blanket. These bites had some spicy kick! Dip them in the gochujang for an even bigger punch! These are fun and easy to eat. However, if you're also ordering pizza it does mean that your meal will contain a lot of dough (which is not necessarily a bad thing). The main event is absolutely the California style pizza and with 18 different pies you certainly won't be wanting for choice. Each one is made from scratch using their signature hand-tossed sourdough crust which they make with local flour. And let me tell you: IT'S THE CRUST. I'm the type of person who doesn't always eat my crust - in most cases I have no desire to eat additional plain, tough bread. But once in a while there's the odd case when the dough itself is something special. Die Pie makes a dough so pillowy that you will find it in your dreams. But that's not all. On Thursdays they do Detroit style pizza, they can make gluten-
