Also, I was vegan/vegetarian for almost 8 years until a couple months back when I started eating meats here and there again. I was staying at a hotel recently and this place was right beside it and on the day of checkout my gf asked me if I had ever had a Popeyes chicken sandwich and I said, No! She was like OMG I am going to go grab one for us to share while you're in the shower. So, after I was dressed my gf came back with a value meal with a sandwich, fries, and Coke. She was excited for me to try it. So I bit into it and I wasn't all that impressed to be honest. I was like people were killing each other over this, WOW! It tasted just like the ones from your typical fast food chains like Wendy's, Hardee's, etc. I've had way better chicken sandwiches at other fast food places and it doesn't even come close to Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwiches(my opinion). The Cajun fries were pretty tasty though. Would I have one again, Yes! But I don't see what all of the hype was about. It was conveniently located is the main reason I had it and it's a new location so it was nice and clean. Enjoy :)

Excellent flavors! I first tried their beef patties about 20 years ago when I worked at the VA in…read moreEast Orange. The canteen sold them and I was instantly impressed. About 15 years later, they opened a spot just a mile from my house. At first, they had some growing pains so I ghosted for a few years. Recently, a friend told me they'd eaten there and liked it, so I figured why not?! For lunch, hubs and I shared a Spicy Beef Patty, a Curry Chicken Patty, and a Curry Goat Roti. Everything came out tasty, hot, and fresh, especially the roti, which came in a clamshell container. The roti was flaky and comforting, kind of like a Jamaican take on a chicken pot pie but with way more personality. Inside, the curry goat was ridiculously good. It had slow-cooked depth, tender meat, potatoes, and carrots and a layered sauce that tasted like turmeric, other warm spices, and a touch of smoke. It was fucking delicious! While there were a lot of bones (it's goat, after all), there was still a ton of meat and it fed me twice. This place is fast casual. You might have to wait up to twenty minutes for some dishes, but that time buys you flavor. I'm officially back on board. That curry goat roti? The real GOAT: Greatest of All Taste. ;) I'm already planning what to try next. Long live Jamaica! ONE LOVE. NOTES/TIPS: **Shared plaza parking lot with high turnover. Easy. **Wheelchair-accessible: bathroom, parking, entrance, seating area. Ramp. **On Yelp, Door Dash, GrubHub, UberEats, Seamless. **Eat-in or take out. **D&G Root Beer is a must!

They also have dumpling, boiled banana and fried dumpling as well if that's what you want. I've also seen them carry okra and saltfish I believe but I'm not a fan of okra. The ackee and saltfish is amongst my favorite. Right alongside the callaloo and saltfish. They give nice size portions for the price and it's delicious. Not too salty. And it I is a little oily but not a lot. There are also small small bones in some of the pcs of saltfish as well. Overall, every chance I get to eat this from here I do! Give it a try.

It's a breath of fresh air to find places using real ingredients with a distinct flavor & charging under $10 each. Since I was starving I picked up 3 sandwiches: 1.) Brie - While quite good this was my least favorite. The brie & apple slices didn't pop out as much I wanted, but it still was satisfying. 2.) Stone Pony - Whoah! This is praise worthy. Roast beef was tasty & the caramelized onions & aioli horseradish are great additions to the flavor. 3.) Big Tex - This was my absolute favorite. If you have a hunger that needs to be quenched this is the sandwich to do it. The mac n cheese, bacon, & roast beef were on point. It mentions there is BBQ sauce, but I don't recall tasting it. Either way it wasn't overpowering as I'm not the biggest BBQ sauce fan & the sandwich stands on it's own with or without it Their sandwiches are perfectly portioned so you're not getting too little or too much. Their Staff was very friendly, there's seating outside, it's located next to a park and a bike trail, & there's actually a lot of parking despite it being a tiny shack. It's perfectly located & optimized if you like to grab & go or sit & chill. Kudos to these guys. Definitely worth going to over & over.

I'm here to continue with spreading the word that this place serves top quality sandwiches. I even reheated my leftover sandwich for my husband the next day and he gave it a solid 9.2 saying it's one of the best chicken sandwiches he had (tried the somerset). Imagine if he ate it fresh? When you order, they even deliver it to your car. Think Sonic vibes. Definitely stopping by again in the future to try more items.
