I showed up 10 minutes after the pick up time and sure enough they hadn't made the order. I had to wait 25 minutes and the app wouldn't let you pay on line. Then they messed up the order. For the longest time there was a worker that worked there and he was so nice and very helpful, and always gave a bunch of sauces as well :) However lately there has been all new workers that i've never seen there before and they have not gotten my order right once, and are so rude for no reason. In all the times I've been to WC, this is the first opportunity I've had to try their breakfast sliders. I wasn't very hungry so I only got one and I also had a few burgers and fish to round out my trip back home. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese slider. Which looks exactly like how all of their other sliders look. To me it was the same bread also, which is great because the bread is always soft. The egg was right temp and texture, meaning it tasted like a real egg and not fake. So I work near this White Castle and some nights easier to pick up some fries and a burger instead of bringing my own lunch. Now on the website it says that this White Castle closes at 3a on Mondays. I drive up to drive through and at 219a there is a sign that says, sorry we are closed. So I proceeded to call to clarify bar what time do they actually close because the website says one thing abs the 24 hours sign on the door says another thing. I called this White Castle and this disgruntled young lady answers the phone and I proceed to ask what time does this White Castle closes and she says at 230a. And all I asked is I thought it was 3a, since that's what the website says. Then instead of answering my question, this young lady abruptly hangs up on me. Was there a reason for her to be this rude? No ma'am, nor sir. My next step is to reach out to corporate and find out why dies an employee of White Castle feel like they have the right and the audacity to hang up on a customer. White Castle is the only thing I miss about living in New Jersey. In fact, it may well be the only highlight of living actually living there. White Castle has a cult. Not a cult following, mind you, but an honest to goodness cult that will go to the ends of the Earth proclaiming the greatness of their tiny square burgers. Having been forged into such a cultist by weekly 4 a.m. trips there for most of my teenage life, I can say proudly that this is some of the tastiest, greasiest, most satisfying food you can eat. I was blessed to have it clogging my arteries during my formative years. The meat and cheese are actually high quality compared to other fast food chains, and the sides are as unique (chicken rings) and tasty (surprisingly good mozzarella sticks) as you'll find anywhere. A standard meal there consists of anywhere between four and ten burgers, augmented by a couple of the sides, and the invariable meeting of some dude from your old high school. No matter where you live or how far you drove to get to a White Castle, you will find someone from your high school in there in the middle of the night. It's just how it works. Such is the magic of it. If you've seen Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, the look on their faces at the end of the movie is no exaggeration. I went with some friends to get 8 free original sliders from a t mobile customer offer. The manager (probably the owner) took our order and he is very pleasant and professional. I moved back to the area, and as a treat to myself for all my hard work during the move - I treated my friend and I to a Crave Case. I haven't been to White Castle in forever, and I knew the stomach pains from the sliders would be killer, but I had a craving that wouldn't quit. So my knowledge of White Castle was always: get on 22, get really angry, make a u-turn, get more angry, and finally pull in to the parking lot. But my friend let me in on a secret, the secret of being on this side of 22. There is a back entrance. No need to go on 22! Seriously, this news changed my life. I avoid 22 like the plague. I hate every time I have to get on that road. So we jumped in the car, drove down the street, and hit up the back entrance to White Castle. No anger involved. We got our Crave Case, half with cheese, and it fed us the entire weekend. We had it for lunch, dinner, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our tummies were yelling at us by the time Sunday Night hit and we had the last 2 sliders apiece, but it was so worth it. I like this WC a lot. We come occasionally for lunch and they've always been pleasant, clean, and our orders are always correct and well done. There aren't any near my house so mostly I order on the Internet, specify the time I need it ready and then pick it up on the way home. I have never had a problem. I order the crave case but mix up a few different types. I get home, the burger counts are right and the sides are good. Today there was a trainee at the counter who seemed rather lost. I didn't get any condiments or sauce for the mozz sticks, which by the way are the best mozz sticks ever. Despite that, I'm writing this review today because something struck me about the manager this time. He seemed really on top of things and impressed me. This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had at a "fast food" place. My friend and I had placed an order on their website which is marketed as "save time, order online!" And set pick up via the drive thru for 10pm. We ended up not receiving our food until 10:40pm. Upon arriving at the location we both realized we needed to use the restroom. When we tried to get inside, BOTH doors were locked. You could clearly see people trying to order food, eat, and employees working. This is supposed to be a 24/7 operation. We tried knocking on the door. Attempted to call to have someone let us in. Nothing. My friend and I were forced to pee OUTSIDE in bushes by the location. We finally enter the extremely long drive thru line to pick up our food. By the time we finally got to the window we were told they locked the doors because someone came in with "a large order". The "large order" was someone ordered 100 burgers. I know this because I heard an employee talking shit about this customer and order to another customer inside the building while sitting at the drive thru window waiting to even be acknowledged by an employee. I informed them of exactly what happened. Of the fact that my friend and I both had to use the bushes instead of a restroom (my friend actually went TWICE as she exited my car while waiting in line and upon return I still had not moved). Large order or not this is unacceptable. Failed attempts at apology were made. They barely tried to make up for the long wait and again the fact that we were forced to relieve our bladders outside, by offering us a drink for free. The fact that they had the entire building locked when people were inside is a violation in and of itself. I am extremely displeased with how things were handled. And I would expect way more than a failed attempted at an apology and a free drink for 1) how long we had to wait and 2) the fact I was forced to pee outside when I could clearly see people inside the building eating and working DURING OPERATING HOURS.
