I was promised and paid for an extra cleanout pipe that ran the width of the deep end of our pool, just in case of flooding water! Well, our pool flooded, and they only put a pipe about 5 foot straight down. This caused a huge crack in the bottom of our pool. Other things that were wrong with the pool: 1) spa was not connected or piped to our pump in order to filter that water. 2) the pool is almost 5 inches higher on one side (not level at all).

In our last home in GA, we survived lockdown during the pandemic with an inflatable pool so of course, this was a major upgrade....until a couple of months after we moved into our new home, the problems began to surface. I don't know how many times we have dropped by Aqua Leisure Pools (ALP) since moving in for pool water testing, salt, chlorine, troubleshooting for the pool pump etc., but the guys there have all been so, so helpful, like a neighbor lending a helping hand. Most of the time, they'll suggest bringing in whatever part and they'll help look at it or test it and then give their recommendations. I mean, they're not the cheapest, but we want to give them our business because they have our trust! We're now in the process of getting a new pool liner (holy crap, why do they cost so much?!) because the last time we had the pool inspected, they found about 100+ holes that had been patched previously. So we're purchasing from ALP, because of the way they have treated us since the beginning. To my surprise, they stay open all year round. I believe they close Sundays. I guess they open for all the hot tub owners and clients that keep their pool open all year long too? The shop is on Battlefield, in the same lot as Carvel ( I feel so bad at times when we're going to ALP and the kids think we're getting ice cream LOL...). Scheduling was a concern, the liner takes two weeks to come in but we had to wait another month to have it installed due to staffing issues- an everyday struggle (lately) for businesses. The install was a breeze! Their employees were so nice and did such a terrific job! They explained the process from start to finish and delivered on their promise. We appreciated their attention to detail and their professionalism, in this day and age we truly value people that care about their trade, it gives us a newfound respect. She walked us through the full design process, offered multiple options that would work well in our backyard, and made us feel confident moving forward. Once we settled on the project, she submitted everything and let us know the construction team would take it from there. Unfortunately, that's when things started to fall apart. Aegean Pools has some of the worst communication I've experienced with a company. We were promised daily updates on construction progress from Ron, but after the pool was dug, communication nearly stopped. I had to repeatedly reach out just to find out what work was being done. Contractors would often show up without any warning, leaving us with no idea who they were or what they were there to do. At the same time, the company was very quick to request payments, but extremely slow to respond when issues or concerns were raised during the process. Also, the few interactions I had over the phone with Samantha made me question the overall professionalism of the company. Given the significant cost of this project, expectations for quality of the finishing details were high, and unfortunately, those expectations were not met. When problems were pointed out, the fixes felt rushed and minimal, done only enough to make things look "good enough" rather than properly completed. Even after a second attempt to fix issues, the work was still lacking, leaving me to spend my own time fixing mistakes that should have been addressed correctly from the start. To top it all off, after speaking with Terry, the customer service representative for project completion, and voicing our concerns about the overall experience, he openly admitted that the biggest complaint among customers is the terrible communication. Pool process completed and while we're happy to finally be finished with the project, we're relieved that this experience is behind us. Looking back, I wish I had dug deeper into the reviews beforehand. After reading more recent feedback on other sites, especially from the past year, it's clear that the issues we experienced are common among other customers. Overall, what began as a promising and professional experience turned into a frustrating and disappointing one due to poor communication, lack of attention to detail, and insufficient follow-through.

It reminds me a cross between Home Goods and TJ Max (minus the clothes).
