My experience with Sigora Solar has turned out positive. Our monthly electric bills for the…read morespring-summer of 2023 have been around $7 (Dominion Energy of Virginia will always charge a small fee for being connected to their grid). Previously since July 2022 when we bought this house, these bills have ranged as high as $300/month. We have received the first Solar Renewable Energy credit (SREC) payment via Suntribe Energy Trading Company, a Sigora partner. My 2022 federal tax return was accepted with a tax credit for the new solar system. I wanted to talk about positives first. The Sigora pre-sales team were very efficient, but my day job is in IT acquisitions (buying stuff) and I typically get a minimum of three estimates. This can take a fair amount of time to complete and may annoy sales folks who are trying to hit sales goals. Mostly due to my ignorance in the solar marketplace, the initial design included storage batteries as well as solar panels. Sigora's cost estimate hovered around $58K with 27 panels and two Enphase batteries. I have been watching the electric car manufacturing situation in the U.S. and believe that with more car battery manufacturing coming online, we will see lower cost/higher density batteries in the near future, so investing in home batteries in 2022 would not have been wise. Removing the batteries and lowering the number of solar panels to 22 brought the cost of the system down to around $25K. I financed this amount with a Sigora partner (Mosaic) and was able to apply a large payment from the tax refund. Getting three quotes from qualified installation companies helped arrive at this system configuration so I recommend doing it wherever possible (other companies were charging even more for storage batteries). Wrapping up -- the Local Consumption feature for Enlighten from Enphase has been helpful in keeping track of energy we use, generate, send to Dominion Energy and get credited for. It was not included in our original system, but here is the link if you want to see what it does: https://support.enphase.com/s/article/How-can-I-view-my-homes-energy-consumption-in-MyEnlighten Good luck with finding the right solar for your home/business!

Sigora installed my panels 1 year ago and I have been paying monthly payments on my loan BUT SIGORA…read morehas not yet connected my system with Pepco. It is literally astounding. Sigora appears to have no idea how the process with pepco in DC works and literally has no connections with the power company. PEPCO has on multiple occasions asked SIGORA to reinstall or reapply for my system to be connected. Months of inaction. It is impossible to speak to anyone about my case and to understand what they are doing with my account. I call repeated and leave messages and am assured someone will call me back. Guess what? No one ever calls. Literally it has been months of unreturned calls. Meanwhile I continue to pay the loan amount without any SRECs. I've lost $1000s of dollars thus far.

Byron McCall 3 reviews…read morean hour ago This has by far been the worst solar company I have ever worked for. I was Dominick project manager/lead installer. In a nut shell .... he was over sales and I was over the installs. I recommended experienced installers and got the ball rolling for this guy. How does he thank me.... by laying off his first hire along with one other black guy. I'm sorry the only other black guy. He was an excellent employee! One white guy was laid off as well. He was also an excellent employee; he just fell victim by association I suppose. Dominick kept 4 white guys employed ...all whom I trained on the enphase systems. I have no respect for people like this ;which is why I decided to expose him. A lot of the customers (in the review) installs were done by the very people he let go. I feel I was used for my experienced period! And am now in the process of taking legal actions! I highly recommend another solar company for your installs. God bless you all!

Sunlight Solar and Dominic will 100% rip you off! DO NOT USE THEM!!! I unfortunately went with…read morethem for the instillation of solar panels and financed the whole job. I never once saw an itemized bill nor a detailed write-up for the job. While getting ready for the install and during the install process I never felt confident that what I was on the line, cost wise, was even fair or appropriate. I never once knew how much the labor or parts were, just how much the company financed for me and I signed. Now I go to look at their website and it's inactive. I wonder if Sunlight Solar and Dominic have moved on to a new area to swindle others out of their hard earned money.
