Beer & Wine to-go options (5/5): They had so many different types of wine, beer, seltzers, and mead to choose from! You can buy single cans, but they are more per than just buying the pack. Process (5/5): This place is pretty neat! You start a tab, you get a card, and you insert the card into slots in order to pour your own beer or wine. You can control how much you want since you only get charged on how much you pour! I love this idea! Seating (4/5): The outside seating was limited. 1 room that was outside and LOUD, 1 room that was connected to the outside room and the inner room surrounded by windows, and then the main inner room with tables and was opened to the beer & wine mart side. Definitely a nice place to check out when you want a bit of everything.

They always have great beer on tap from some of the top breweries in the world, and their brewer makes some top notch stuff as well (especially sours). It's pretty big and has the cleanest bathrooms I've seen at a brewery. I've never had any of their deli type menu but it looks solid. Only con is that I spend too much between here and the inevitable trip to Mellow Mushroom after.

Something sweet, and not bitter. I was trying to explain myself, hoping the guy could help, but he acted like a total snob. I was legit needing help and asking for recommendations. His attitude towards me and my husband made me just say ok, what would you recommend? I wanted sweet with no bitter. He of course sold me two that were supposed to be "delicious". Tried both and they were the most sour/bitter tasting wines I've ever had in In my life. So, the two stars was for his snobby attitude, and also basically wanting me to hurry out of his store.

There was a food truck there on the Friday evening that we stopped in. I think it was selling wraps. We got a flight of beers to try out. We had the Kolsch, blonde, amber and an IPA. The kolsch and blonde were pretty good. I usually like amber but this one wasn't for me. They had a fair amount of hard seltzer and IPAs which is not uncommon at these breweries. The bartender was a really nice guy and very helpful. I plan to watch the beer list and try this place out again.

Brewing companies, there are many in this neck of the woods, but very unique, one-of-a-kind ones,…read morelike this one, rarely do we find one. I happened to find this one while searching for the Empanada Nirvana Food Truck. It just so happened that I found out that the Empanada Nirvana Food Truck was going to be stationed outside the Parkway Brewing Company this past Wednesday during National Empanada Day and so I researched this place to learn more about it. I found out that Parkway Brewing Company is a craft brewery in Salem, Virginia. Established in 2012, it is well known for its distinctive ales and a vibrant tasting room with a large beer garden, live music, and food trucks. It operates a 30-barrel brewhouse, producing a large range of beers from IPA to lagers. Located near the Roanoke Valley Greenway, it attracts runners and cyclists, and has become a community hub for outdoor enthusiasts and beer lovers. When I arrived in my pearl white Lexus, the Empanada Nirvana Food Truck was already parked outside, but had not yet opened, so I went inside the brewery to explore its building. There I found a casual, low-key environment with an industrial-chick interior featuring a fireplace and garage doors that opened to the outdoors, to an area with picnic tables and sun umbrellas. Inside there were also several colorful modern murals and a wide counter where customers went to order and pay for their beers. They had several menus as well as display coolers with some of the beers being sold there. The friendly and knowledgeable young lady behind the counter did an excellent job explaining what they had, including the non-alcoholic options. While going to the restrooms, one passed by a window where you could see the brewhouse. Along the way there were also shelves filled with souvenirs of the place. In the room where the fireplace was, there was also a stage for live performances, which usually took place at night. I loved the ambiance and vive of the place and am looking forward to returning to one of their music live performance and some of their beers, and knowing that they also carry non-alcoholic ones will allow me to enjoy the evening and drive back home safely.
