We stopped in with a group for drinks and dinner. Most of us got beers, I had a glass of wine,…read morewhich I enjoyed. Pizza was good but nothing outstanding. Biggest complaint was that the service was unfriendly. The host was a bit rude and didn't seem thrilled to seat us. She told us we had an hour to get in and out since they had a reservation. I never like to start off a restaurant visit feeling unwelcome or rushed... it's just uncomfortable. The restaurant started to clear out and I never did see another group show up within the hour. I think the food and drinks are decent, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return unfortunately.

We have been here several times. Only once was it great as far as service. Food can be hit or miss,…read moreso it must be the cook at the time. The great visit was early on in their opening. This last time I waited to review since we were so disappointed. We do not think we will be back. Licorice Pizza has won on all aspects. This visit I ordered the pizza that looked great on the table near us. It was not crowded but has probably 6-7 tables and all but 2 had been served. My husband ordered a chicken dish. His order came out without my pizza so he was waiting to eat w/ me. About five minutes went by and he had taken a bite or two and I said please eat. We asked the waiter as he walked by when the pizza would be out. He said oh just a few minutes. He disappeared and we didn't see him another 10 minutes, went by. Finally, I caught his attention as he was walking by and said do you have any idea about my pizza? It's been about 15 minutes and my husband was almost done with his meal. It took another eight minutes for my pizza to come out. It didn't seem very fresh. I think he just totally forgot. Service has been a problem and it's such a great building. And the beers are wonderful, but you have to have the whole enchilada as they say there are other restaurants in Warrenton as well as close surrounding areas that you have to give great service. It's not acceptable that one person eats the other person watches them eat and then one is done and now you get your meal. That is not OK. I've been in the restaurant business years before customer service makes a huge difference. I hope they can find better staff or if it's management problems they can train.

So today I stumbled across the new location - much more accessible than the old location! As always, good wine selection, including a respectable assortment of Virginia wines, a fairly massive selection of craft brews (chilled and available as singles!), cigars, and of course - quite the assortment of leather equestrian gear! The place smells strongly of well oiled leather when walks in the front door - a very pleasant smell! Check out the new location!

The owners are so helpful and friendly. I went because of their deals on ThinLine saddle pads, and was so impressed with the selection! What a hidden gem! i had tried to sell some tack on marketplace and kept dealing with no shows. I put a few things on consignment there last month and have already received two payouts. Their wine selection and prices were also top notch. The owner really took the time to listen to what we liked, gave us some wine recommendations and offered a free tasting. We tasted three wines we'd never tried before and bought all three! Such a cool place and a neat concept combining wine and saddlery, I will definitely be back!

This was by far one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. We decided to get a table…read moreoutside as it was a nice evening and we had our dog with us. Our waitress seemed friendly enough as she engaged in conversation with us about our dog and asked if she could have a milk bone and we said . She went and got water for us, which came in a nice bottle, but was then served with two nasty plastic cups that had spots all over them and chips around the rim. It took a while for her to come back around to take our drink order but when she did, we ordered specialty drinks, my husband got the Southern Jam which, after one step I could tell by the look on his face, he was disgusted by it and I got the mocktail Farmer Tan which was spicy and hard on my throat, I guess it was the chipotle. We weren't super hungry so we only ordered appetizers. We got the melting pot fries and the hot shrimp and crab dip. I guess they're trying to be unique by using Chick-fil-A fries because that's exactly what they tasted like and you could barely taste the truffle or the Parmesan. The shrimp and crab dip came out and was a bright orange. It almost looked like it was supposed to be a buffalo dip. We've never seen any type of crab dip like this before. It had absolutely no flavor. We couldn't taste any crab it's only big chunks of shrimp, but again after three servings of it, there was no flavor and it was impossible to wash any of this food down with the nasty drinks. There were three other tables filled while we were outside, and the sun was beaming down. One of the customers got up and tried to turn the fan on with no luck. It didn't work and it seemed like the waitress had disappeared. We didn't see her in a while. I'm finally I had to go to the bar and ask for the check myself once she came out with it. My husband gave her his card and when she came back, we discovered that we had been rung up with someone else's bill, which was $30 more than ours. I then went up to the window again, and the bartender was ringing up somebody else so he couldn't help me and told me that the waitress would fix it. She then came out with the correct receipt, but we still had no evidence of the the wrong charge on our card which my husband checked his account and had already been charged for. So I went back up to the window again and asked for a receipt showing that the credit was made or avoid or something, and the waitress was getting flustered because she didn't know how to do that and had to call someone else over to help her. They said they've avoided the transaction, but couldn't print anything out showing it just said the charge has been made so now we have to monitor our account to make sure that this was indeed credited to us. After having a horrible food experience, and then being charged for the wrong bill, we will never be back here again. Oh and we never got the milk bone for a dog either. UPDATE: I see the owner has responded and I do understand how a bank works because I used to actually work for one. # 1) I have not been calling you. #2) The majority of the review was about the food, drinks and service. Get your facts straight before you do a public unprofessional response. All the more reason to not recommend this business to anyone. The right thing to do would have just been to apologize for the bad experience like any professional business owner which you're clearly not.

Powers only serves beer, but they do have a food truck rotation that comes through, so make sure to check their website before visiting to find out what's being served that day. The beer selection is decent and has something for everyone's taste. There is plenty of indoor seating and just as much outdoor seating, so you won't have to worry about standing up the whole time even when it's busy. Outside they have a Corn Hole setup and they also had a soccer ball you could kick around if you wanted to. To add to the outdoor ambiance, there was also a chicken coop that you could walk up to and look at. Also, if you're around during the evening, they might get the bonfires going! One of favorite parts about our visit was being able to enjoy my porter outside by the bonfire. All-in-all, it was a pleasant surprise and definitely worth a visit if you're ever out in Midland, VA or just won't to do something outside the city if you're in the DMV area.

We've had days of grabbing a drink and sitting around in their soft seating reading a book. I've only had coffee and I think it's a good, basic coffee.
