    We recently flew this particular VA airlines from LHR to Seattle. Originally my wife booked through Delta airlines but they use Virgin Atlantic flights specifically. She was sweating bullets bc we have flown internationally where a particular airlines does not feed you & would charge you extra. It was a flight from Barcelona to LAX. Unfortunately I don't remember what airlines that was. Yes I wanted to forget! Anywho our original flight had a five hour layover so my wife changed the booking a few days prior having us flying to a shorter layover so we could get home earlier! This made our checkin difficult. So we arrived at terminal 3 LHR like over 4 hours early. Good thing as it took us a line to wait for VA representative to assist us. She took us over to the First Class area for us to get us assistance after conferring with another VA worker. Good thing as the VA representative at First Class finally checked us in! Woohoo! We got through the security more quickly as my wife made sure our liquids were in 1 bag. We got to an area where you can wait in a lounge or shop in this particular area or eat a real meal. My wife went shopping & picked up snacks. Our gate appeared 1 hour prior to leaving LHR. We got to a specific area to checkin at the gate & we got loaded up in a bus directly to our VA plane. We did have to walk up the steel stairs in the lovely wet rain! We finally found our Economy Classic which the seats were a little bigger than the economy light. We were thankful. Our carryons were with us as they weighed 20 pounds exactly. We left on time & they provided us with a pillow, blanket & earphones. The entertainment was great as we are avid movie watchers & have kept up watching most of the latest movies. The plus was they served us drinks, snacks & SEVERAL meals plus a frozen popsicle during our 9 hours 25 minutes flight. We got back into USA right on time. Sure we didn't sleep much on the plane but we were definitely not HANGRY!!! Far from it. If we had a chance to book Virgin Atlantic again we would do it in a heartbeat. There was one other airlines that could have almost beat them & it was Philippines airlines. Surprised? Yes we were pleasantly surprised & very happy. My wife tends to sweat the small stuff! I think we just got blessed! Yay! Now if we could only get rid of this jet lag...aw life is short but we love to travel while we can! Woohoo!

    Highly recommend flying 1st class with Virgin Atlantic! They give you amazing service and they leg room is incredible and the seat can be adjusted down to a bed.

    For the most part, we have experienced good times using Virgin Atlantic airlines. Our latest Virgin Atlantic experience was a positive one. From London Heathrow Airport, we flew Virgin Atlantic non-stop to LAX. When we got to their spot at Terminal 3 in Heathrow Airport, the line to check in your baggage was very long. We had no issues printing our boarding passes at one of their many kiosks. From there, we made our way to the long line to check in our luggage. The line went by rather quickly which was an unexpected surprise. We had no issues with checking in our luggage as well. It was smooth sailing! The boarding process was also a breeze. Although the flight was completely booked, the time it took to board the plane was fast even though we booked economy/coach. The stewardesses provided excellent service the entire flight which took approximately 10 hours. Food was pretty good as well. We were served a couple of meals. Snacks and drinks were also given a few times throughout the trip. I watched plenty of movies too. Nice selection to choose from. Will continue to use Virgin Atlantic whenever the price is right.

    After flying to Europe on a different carrier in business class, I was apprehensive about my Virgin Atlantic flight back home. Although we would be traveling in premium economy, I was not looking forward to sitting on a flight for 11 hours from London to Los Angeles without the opportunity to lie down! We tried and tried to do a points upgrade to upper class, but it was to no avail. It seems like Virgin releases availability sporadically as the date gets closer, but you have to get lucky to catch it at the right time. While a 11 hour flight can never be described as a true joy, I do have to say that the flight was very pleasant! In premium economy, our seats were well cushioned and fairly large. They were able to recline back and had a foot pedal to rest our feet on. It was overall a comfortable experience, especially because we sat in the last seats in the section so there was no one behind us to possibly kick our chair or bother when reclining. I had read that the new planes have a better regulated atmosphere with more humidity and less noise and I believe it. My husband and I were able to talk quietly while easily hearing each other and felt much less stuffy and dried out on this flight. What truly sets Virgin apart from others though is the service. The on-site crew was phenomenal. They were so friendly and joyful! We had a delicious meal (pre-selected to ensure we got our selection) as well as an afternoon tea to end our flight. Throughout the flight, we were also treated to a variety of treats including popsicles and a sandwich! The wander wall was a bit lacking, but the many treats along the way ensured we left feeling very full! Virgin provides a fantastic opportunity for flying at an affordable price point (especially if you are using mileage) and has a great option for those unable to travel in business class!

They wanted to charge us for our sweatshirts and sweaters and for food items for an international flight where we were at the airport for over 24 hours . Talk about going an extreme level. We were given a economy flight, however, at the airport they said that it was a different flight than what it said on our ticket, and they wanted to charge us for having anything more than 10 kg and equivalent to 20 pounds on an international flight. If you want to get Nickel and dimmed. Literally charged for jackets and food for an international flight with rude customer service and extra charges for bags jackets and food this is the airline to choose. went Thoroughly over my childs and my bag of food and jackets, forcing us to wear everything on top of each other on a 80° day when we are flying somewhere much cooler and demanding over $150 us for a carryon bag. I paid for a standard ticket for my child however they did not consider my child to be a human being who has an allotted carry-on bag although I paid a full fair. I spoke with the customer service rep the day of our flight who said, as it says on their website, that food items and coats pillows were ok to be in a separate bag but I guess Virgin wants to recoup their $$$ by completely ripping guests off for international flights with no carryon bags - when did jackets become your extra baggage ? Over $2k was not enough for them. , They canceled flights, change flight times, their app is worthless, their customer service on the phone has you on hold for over an hour, their representatives of both airports LAX and Heathrow horrifically rude and I don't worry they're going to charge you for every single thing. I'm surprised they allow you to breathe. Now, for international economy flight I was told that there was a mistake made and the airline had it booked under economy, light, which only let you carry up to 20 pounds. They counted my jacket in my food items as another item each. I was told by customer service that this would not be an issue however, in person and at Heathrow and at LAX. I have not experienced such extremely rude customer service. Very expensive flight with a very poor customer service. If you want to be treated this poorly you're better off, just knowing about it in advance. very eager to charge you $75 to eat for a carry-on bag of food if you're caring food or jackets. it seem like the documentation with an airline was different than what I was given by my travel agency however the travel agency went out of business so I could not reach them. This Airline made absolutely no attempt to be able to accommodate this issue. They were eager to charge me $75 even though I had one personal item and one carry-on. They wanted to charge me $75 for bringing food Seriously one of the worst airlines I have had to deal with it in years.

    Absolutely love this airline. I will be looking to travel with Virgin as often as possible. The flight crew were amazing!!! The plane was clean. The food was plentiful lol. Even got a chance to have afternoon tea in the sky!! Amazing. And to top off the experience the pilot bought my son a model plane and the gifted my husband a bottle of Prosecco for his bday! So thoughtful.

Terminal 5 at Heathrow is for British Airways with a separate check-in for Club. To my surprise, the queue for full service check-in was quite long. There was a dedicated bag drop line along with a document verification line. The priority screening was helpful for Club passengers although the security process was rather chaotic.... Boarding for long haul flights at B gates is a couple tram stops away. There are limited food options once at the B wing. The 777-300ER was in great shape, especially the cushions in Club Suites. There was a sliding door with my suite which was available after takeoff. I was extremely impressed with the catering out of Heathrow, which seemed to be done by Do & Co. Each course was presented and plated separately. The quality of each course was excellent. I was serviced by the in-flight manager whom addressed me by name with every interaction, which was surprising. Between meal services, I found the crew to be lazy as I had to head to the galley to get more water, some snacks, or a drink. Rubbish wasn't collected from my seat either. The dust bins were rather hard to find in the galley. My flight from Heathrow departed on-time and arrived on-time to SFO.

A few days later I received an email stating BA changed my return flight to leave from Baltimore not Washington Dulles. Since I will be unable to travel to another city and state for the flight I asked to be rebooked on a flight leaving Dulles. I was then informed I would need to pay to pick my seats. I told the agent I already had a ticket that included seat selection but was told there was no "free seat selection" on my new flight. I said my seat selection wasn't free but included in the ticket. They said because my flight changed due to "operations" that I would need to pay for seat section. I paid €170 for seat selection. Seven days later I received an email saying something was wrong with my booking and to call. After a 27 minute phone call I had to reenter my credit card information and was told I needed to check back in 7-10 days to see if the card was actually able to be charged. It really doesn't make sense to fly BA again when there are better options out there.

London (LHR) - Athens (ATH): 4 hours Athens (ATH) - Santorini (JTR): 1 hour Mykonos (JMK) - Athens (ATH): 0.5 hour Aircraft: 4/5 The nation's new flag carrier (after the acquisition of Olympic Air) operates a modest narrow-body fleet of 47 variants of Airbus 319-321, making them Greece's largest airline. While their A321s are modern and fitted with cutting edge interior, several of the A320s are showing signs of age and could use some updating. They also lack wide body airframes, which limits them to being a "regional" airline serving Europe, parts of Africa and the Middle East. Service: 5/5 Greeks are a friendly bunch, and their staff members certainly exemplified this. Cabin crew were very courteous, accommodating, and efficient on all sectors. Ground personnel also went above and beyond to ensure passengers were able to make their connections expeditiously after a weather and traffic delay coming from LHR. I missed mine to Santorini, and they met me at the arrival gate to hand me a boarding pass for the next one 2 hours later, along with a meal voucher. I got to relax and enjoy some gyros, baklava, and Turkish coffee, instead of standing in line for rebooking at the transfer/help desk which is standard practice for many airlines. Outstanding! Food: 3/5 Pasta and Greek wine was served on the flight from LHR, while they gave out cookies and candy on the short ones. Nothing to write home about, but A-OK as far as airline food goes. Performance and reliability: 4/5 90 minutes late going from LHR-ATH, though it was largely caused by thunderstorms and London air traffic control. 15 minutes late for JMK-ATH, which is a tad much for a flight that is blocked at 35 minutes. I must admit I had not heard of Aegean until my travels to Greece. Their SKYTRAX rating is 8/10, and they were awarded Europe's Best Regional Airline for 2015. Well-deserved in my book. EasyJet and Ryanair, eat your heart out!

United had put me on Eurowings, who was useless. Trying to reach someone is obviously not something they want, since it's next to impossible. 4 hours of trying to reach United, on the night of my goodbye party, I was worn out. I had text, app messaging, and phone calls all going, in hopes I'd get help. I was on hold 20 minutes and was disconnected. That happened twice. I got a reply on the app and was told that my flight wasn't canceled. He told me I should check the website, which I did and it showed canceled. As I ended with him, the text feed hit and that representative showed that yes, indeed, the flight was canceled. He offered to book me on the next day, which I declined. I needed to be home when I planned. So, I had to leave 4 hours earlier and has three flights to get home. But, it would get me home. I'm really grateful for that rep. Once I got to lax I learned that my bags didn't make it and were lost. Nobody really cared that much, but everyone was friendly. So, I got home three days ago. I'm still waiting for my luggage. I'm told that it's found. When I look at the website for the delivery, the status says "Out for Delivery Delivering 2 bags yesterday by 6:30 pm." Out for a yesterday delivery? Ok. I'm not really a fan right now. Three stars for the kind flight staff that helped me, since my back was killing me. And the Lufthansa flight staff that moved me to a better seat. And, for the guy that said he would send me a $100 travel voucher, and also offered a sincere apology. The $100 feels like a very small token of consolation. But it's something. I would have done no less than $250, but that's just me. Mostly, I liked that he owned it and apologized for the trouble experience. He nailed it. It was terrible, and I hope I get my luggage soon...

They told us to go to baggage claim so we did then baggage claim told us that Eurowings is supposed to find it because it's still in transfers so we have to go to them. Eurowings then said no it's baggage claim's job. But Eurowings would not call them and tell them that. Instead they have us go back and forth when they are the two parties miscommunicating! Talk about LAZY! Too lazy to make a phone call instead of having us walk back and forth to departures and baggage claim. They need proper training for inconveniences like this because it just puts stress on the passenger when the whole situation is the airline's fault.

Stuck in the wrong country, I finally managed to withdraw my check-in for the flight I would be able to reach due to the first cancellation. After spending another hour on their (hideously poor) online presence and not being able to request a refund anywhere, I called customer service again. After 40 minutes I reached an operator that looked things up and said he would transfer me to the booking department to sort things. That just put me back into waiting with a message that says every minute "we will connect you to the next available operator", which, of course, is just another person that will transfer you back to the waiting line. So, not only did I not get a flight to my destination, there was no recourse to even obtain a refund for their mess. DO NOT BOOK WITH EUROWINGS!

The American staff was friendly and got us off the plane and headed towards immigration efficiently. Luggage arrived with no issues. Terminal 3 is laid out uniquely. The center contains the food court and shops with a large seating area. Gates are assigned about an hour before flight departure. I did not see work stations set up. Restrooms are a bit crowded and there was a line.

The best part was that the seating was comfortable with a 17" width (which is average) and a good 31" pitch and in a 3x3x3 configuration. The meal was a good burger dinner with a decent red wine, and I was ok with that. A cheese wrap was also provided before landing. The flight boarding was orderly, we arrived on time with no issues, and our stewardess was smiling and friendly. 4 lavatories located near the center of our section was adequate, and it seems lavatories aren't located in the rear anymore for what that's worth. Entertainment selections were extensive and good. I've had a lot worse long haul flights, so I was pretty happy.

Unless you are a local or have some magic powers, even the booking airline is unable to select any seats, meals, etc. for you. We literally rushed through Heathrow to get to Turkish Airlines, only to discover the lines to get checked in at the gate , and onto the airplane we're just a hot mess. The people at the counter were extremely rude to everyone, and it just made the experience even worse We ended up not being able to sit together, but they found two Aisle seats for us, and we acquiesced to those seats just so we could board the plane. The four hour flight felt like we were being dragged across the top of numerous mountains because it was bumpy and for the first time in my entire life, I had motion sickness from the horrible flight. The one thing I found interesting about this flight and maybe it's just their common practice because we certainly don't see this in the United States, is that there was meal service. Keep in mind there isn't a choice of what you're being given to eat, but if you're hungry, it's better than nothing I suppose. I'm here to say that the food was horrible. The drink service was even worse, and the flight attendants were absolutely rude. Would I recommend this airline?! Absolutely not at least this leg of our journey was completely under desirable, and this plane was extremely uncomfortable.

My experience with Air Canada started…read morereally bad with their customer service agent at LAX, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. We had already pre-paid for our seat and they put us in different seat anyway from LA to Barcelona, Spain. when I asked why, the manager in place at LAX was rude, aggressive, angry and was actually threatening me to not be letting me to fly because I asked her why I could not get in the seat that I had already paid for! I am back now to my home country in USA and tried to call Air Canada to get reimbursed for the money I paid for our pre-selected seats and the waiting time to speak with someone is 3 Hours. Isn't this ridiculous? This is a fraud, and I will report this Airline to authority for getting money from people for the services that are not providing. I Paid 435.00 for pre-selected seats. Air Canda is extremely bad with poor management and the worst customer service and worst food and with delay. This was the first time I choose this Airline and I will never ever fly with Air Canada again. I usually don't put reviews online, but I did put this one, so the others won't make the same mistake.
