We have a plumbing system Shubert worked on with the prior owners so we kept them to work on it. So Shubert gave us a $9,000 estimate to repair pipes upstairs which grew to $16,000 with no change in scope when the work was done. They have done this to us a couple of times now, and we are done working with Shubert and team. Recently, Shubert claimed to need 3 plumbers all day (aka 8hrs each) to replace a hot water heater. They were here for 4 hours for the install and two plumbers were idle most of the time. After the install we still did not have hot water, they left the old water heater in the driveway for almost a month and left a black sludge on the garage floor for a month. And they wanted to get paid before taking a month to finally finish the job. Avoid these folks at all costs!!

She watches what they do, and they have consistently charged her for services that they did not do. They were at her house 4 times last year. The first time to do the yearly service in October. My mother sat there and watched the guy the whole time. When she received the $230. bill, which stated they cleaned heat exchanger, flushed heat exchanger coil. She knew they didn't clean or flush anything. They came to the house 3 times in December. The first time (7 days after the service in October) there was some kind of fluid on the. The guy reset the water heater, never checked the code to see what was causing the leakage. This came to a charge of $662.54 because they charged for overtime. The second time out (13 days later) They did check the code. They reset the ignitor and charged her $207. The third time out (13 days again) They actually replaced the ignitor! Why was she charged for this? They should have fixed it the first time! These four visits costed my mom $1,245.72. Mom is on a limited income. She is not the type to complain, and would rather skimp on other things, so she could pay these bills. My husband called them again in March. No response. Left them a couple of messages and started looking for a new company to come out to check what the problem was this time. He found a great guy out of Bayfield. Prompt, knowledgeable and willing to explain the problem. And didn't charge mom an arm and a leg. These are the kind of people that we should be supporting. Not some shysters here in town!

We now live in our home in Durango and our furnace went out on Sunday morning. I waited until Monday to call Jeff as it wasn't too cold out and we could use our gas fireplace. Even though Jeff had a full day planned he was able to work us in. He sent Jeremy, one of his service techs, out to diagnose the problem. Jeremy was extremely efficient, pleasant and professional and he quickly diagnosed a cracked igniter. It was Jeremy's day off but he got a new part and then delivered it to Jeff who came by at the end of the day to install it. Jeremy made sure there were no other issues before he left to get the part and Jeff made sure everything was in order before he left. Service Pro's charges were reasonable (as they always have been) and their service was very efficient. This just confirms the wok Jeff did for us when we were renting our house out. Everytime IO called him he was quick to provide service at a reasonable rate. My tenants said that he was always pleasant and professional and quickly made the required repairs to both the furnace and the water heater. We will definitely call Jeff in early fall to service our furnace each year and call him when that unavoidable issue arises.
