Not only did the apparent project manager or maybe he is part owner, Zack, not manage any of the lazy workers who would hide and smoke while we were inside trying to manage the cleanup, he was mostly just not on site. He knocked over a fan and broke the gas fireplace which caused propane to leak into the house and cost us $6000 to remedy and on top of that, they never even finished the job but charged us around $12000 more than quoted and when we disagreed with this cost (nearly $30,000) and brought up the damage and how the house was left filthy and many things were broken and neglected along the way, they lawyered up and refused to communicate with us and just went and put a lien on the house instead of coming to an agreement or showing any accountability. They were supposed to do a complete inventory of my things they moved to their location, per the contract, website, managers and what they told my insurance company. After 6 months, I had to send a letter of demand to retrieve my possessions, only to discover that they cleaned NOTHING, but instead stole the items least damaged and most valuable and personally significant. They pawed through every box, bag and container, haphazardly dumping what they didn'want into random cardboard boxes. To add insult to injury, I had to pay them! I should've noticed the other reviews are all fake. No business has perfect ratings. I never received an inventory, because they couldn't make one, as more than half of my things are missing, including passport, social security card, medical and financial records and irreplaceable family heirlooms. Jennifer Nix, the "contents manager," and Tony the manager, lied to my face as they ripped me off, reassuring me everything would be ok (for their pockets, yes.) I'm aware of two others they've done this to as well. After calling Servpro, they immediately came over and began clean up of our house. They moved most of our belongings to their warehouse in Durango so our stuff would be out of the house during the construction phase. When we were ready to move back into the house Servpro (Rick and LaTanya) delivered our belongings to the house and set the furniture exactly where and how we wanted it. Those two were amazing. We were very impressed with Servpro. Jackie in the office and Zach were very patient and helpful. We were dealing with this from 800 miles away and they helped us through the ordeal. I currently own over a dozen rental homes and formerly owned over 35 Rental homes. I recently had a…read moretenant at one of my Pagosa duplexes call me to report her toilet would not quit running. The water bill at this property was already quite high so I hoped to have it repaired ASAP. I called the 2 local plumbers I usually use and they were both out of town. Since the home only had 1 toilet I decided to Google another plumbing option and found Element Plumbing. I called them and they said they could come the next day as they were going to be in Pagosa, so I scheduled them. They arrived and called me with 3 Incredibly high quotes to replace the toilet, which actually turned out to most likely only need a new flapper system. The least expensive option they quoted was $1390! I have replaced toilets many times over the years and never paid over $200. Element Plumbing knew they had me over a barrel as my tenant clearly needed an operating toilet and my other plumbers were not available. While they were there my tenant next door called me about her garbage disposal. They quoted me over $1200 to repair it so I declined that repair and had another company replace it for a total of $178.43. This company took advantage of me and I obviously cannot recommend them for anything!
