I have been coming to the desert for 4 or 5 years now and have always used VIP nails. I have had one or two times it was not 100% great but the polish always lasted about 3 weeks before chipping (I get gel manicures). This last time I went I thought it was a good experience. Fast, efficient, they helped me find the color I wanted and matched my fingers and toes. All was well until three days later I had one nail I saw had completely chipped and 3 others were starting. I went back and told them and they were nice they filed the polish on all then put another coat of polish and a top coat. And they completely redid the one that was fully chipped. All free of charge. Again I though all was great! Until today (1 day after getting them fixed) my nail has chipped AGAIN! I have a dinner to go to tonight and no time to fix this. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never be going back here. They should be getting one star from me but because I hade good service in the past I am giving 3. read more

My friend and I went in for a mani-pedi when we saw the price list which was going to be $45 for both we decided on just a pedi. We both decided it was the worst pedicure we have had in a long time. $25 for bare minimum pedicure. Very short scrub on calluses and massage on feet and legs. I should have known better than go in when I saw the owner who looked like Imelda Marcos in her green one sided shoulder strap jumpsuit. The sign clearly said 25 dollars for pedicure, gel coat 5 dollars. When I was getting ready to pay, she said 50 dollars for gel pedicure and 35 dollars for gel manicure. What a rip off. VIP Nails is a rip off. They charge $50 for a gel pedicure that included nothing but a dry rub of my feet. Also she hand washed her tools at sink when she was done with me. Which by the way my pedicure took and hour and half. Would not recommend. Would not have paid and will bet I will have to come back tomorrow because pedi will not last. read more

This was my go to nail salon until I heard Jackie make a comment to the very nice woman next to me. She told the customer to smile and then told her she looked tired. The customer said I am tired and Jackie leand in and said to her ( very rudely and loud enough for me to hear ), you always look tired, and I mean ALWAYS! Don't usually post reviews but felt like I had to this time. Called about pedicures for my partner and myself. Was quoted $35 each. When we got there they took me and started mine while my partner waited. They then took him and put him across the room from me so we couldn't even talk to one another except via sign language. Because he wasn't having polish put on they said massage would be longer. Did not happen. After putting on polish my final bill was like $115.00. When I inquired they said it was extra for the polish I choose yet didn't say thank thing when I picked it. Bottom line is their prices are not as advertised and they heard you thru like cattle not people. Would not recommend nor will I return. read more

I got burned, literally, with the nail drill while getting a fill. So much that I screamed out loud. Also, I told the gal I wanted short nails and they were too long. She said she needed them long and will file them down. When they were still too long I got an eye roll, heavy breathing and an attitude reflected in her filing down my nails. I have had this fill for 4 days and the white is coming up from the sides making the manicure look old. I don't imagine I will go one week with these nails, big waste of time and money. read more

I've been coming to this place for 1 yr. my nail lady is the besttttt. Unfortunately, I won't ever come back here again. The owner is RUDE AND I feel she doesn't appreciate her employees. Prices are very reasonable. Yanni is an excellent technician who is personally pleasant and can create artistic creations on nails as well. My husband and I walked in, asked how long the wait is for two pedicures and two Brow waxes and the guy behind the counter said "We don't have time for you." That's not the question I asked. I turned around and walked out. I can't imagine that their services are any better than their customer service. If I could give a lower rating I would! So I have been a loyal year round not seasonal patron of this nail salon for over 10 years and to the same nail person for the past 6 years. I called on Saturday and scheduled an appointment at 4 pm today Monday because I learned when I tried to schedule for Friday my day off that my girl will be out of the country so the owner who made the appointment said that I could do it at 4 pm today with my girl because was leaving on Tuesday. So I leave work early by 3 hours to make my nail appointment. When I get there I am told by the same owner that my appointment isn't with my usual girl because she already has a client. So when I said wait I took off early from work, now minus hours and money - because you made this appointment for me with my usual girl. He tried to tell me I didn't schedule it with her to which I said well then why did I know she was going out of the country - you and I had that discussion on Saturday when I booked it. Then he tries to tell me I just made the appointment today which was a boldface lie. So he tells me I can have someone else and oh what I want to have done which only she does I can have someone else do a different type of manicure ! Wrong ! So we have words and I end up having another person do my pedicure and then my girl does my manicure! He charged me the regular amount - he should have discounted me. He makes a big deal to how great the other woman was for allowing my girl to do my manicure ! Really ????? You double booked my girl and since it was open on Saturday that means I was the first person who booked the time slot ! I having been going to VIP Nails since 2015. The salon is clean, cheerful and everyone speaks great English. Vanessa, the owner, is very charming and friendly. Her staff is well trained and they offer full salon services. Kristy and Ann are really fantastic. Both of them always give me great service. Kristy does my pink & white nails exactly the way I like them. She works fast and and is so professional! She is very consistent and I know I will always pleased. Ann does my pedicures and is very gentle. I had bunion surgery on both feet last summer and she was so careful not to cause me any pain. Her massages are the best! I've been coming here for a few months now and my experiences have just never been great. The place is extremely overpriced and the quality of service does not reflect the high prices. They also nickel and dime customers over pretty much everything they can. My most recent experience was the worst. I typically get gels, but once or twice a year go without to let my nails breathe. So at my latest appointment, I asked for a regular manicure, so that I could let my nails refresh for a couple of weeks, and a pedicure. When I went to pay the bill I was shocked to see that they were charging me $5 for "gel removal." I have never been charged for that in any salon I've ever frequented before. There is also a guy who goes around offering neck and shoulder massages, but doesn't inform customers until afterwards that the cost is $15 - so some get caught into thinking it is just a complimentary perk being offered. Cindy at VIP Nails rocks it! This salon was busy, busy and run efficiently and thoughtfully with the customer in mind. After a horrible experience at JK Nails I was on the hunt less than 10 days after service and stumbled upon this salon. The man I assume to be the owner was friendly, did not push or try to upsell me on anything. He was gracious and seated me right away. Offered a bottle of water which is complimentary and it was nice to be able to understand as many salons are hard to break the language barrier. Cindy did a beautiful job on my nails which had to be completely removed and started over. Beautiful work. And then I asked if she had time for a pedicure, what the heck, what's 10 days between pedis? And she rocked it even more. I have found a new nail salon who is interested in a clientele and not just a walk out the door after collecting money. And I'm a great tipper, these gals who tip $2.00 for a great job should be sitting on those stools, lets see where tips go after that. I did not do such a thing but the nerve of her to even assume is just terrible. They are overpriced, so now I have gone else where and am saving money. Tina gave me a gel manicure. It looked nice but appeared thin. Other salons used 3 coats, which lasted several weeks, but she insisted 2 was enough and would last at least 2 weeks. By a few days, a couple nails started to lift. I spoke to the owner who said to come back. All Tina would do (claiming this is all the owner said to do) was to buff one of the nails, coat it over, and seal it. She refused to do anything for the other nails. The one redo cracked off the next day and the rest were showing wear within a week. Because her attitude was unpleasant and unwilling to be service oriented, I won't be returning. read more
