Rip Off..........I called to find out how much a full set of gel nails. They quoted me $32 so I booked appointment. When my nails were done, they said your bill is $55 plus tip. I was upset and stated he quoted me $32 on the phone. His reply was that only for natural nails. I have acrylics. All other salons charge $28 - $35 for full set of acrylic/gel nails. VIP ripped me off!!!!!! I will never go back to this place! Buyer beware!!! read more

Arrived as a walk-in on a busy Friday, late morning. What an efficient operation! Clients were coming and going and I was taken right away. I always request a mani and pedi "at the same time" so two techs were allocated to me. Both were men, Steven and Nathan. Excellent, both! BTW, this place has lots of males techs. Today at least, they outnumbered the women. I tend to prefer the men, myself. In general, they are fast, don't engage in chitchat and their massages are firmer. After coming in with my nails a mess.. A complete disaster.. Jackie did an amazing job grooming them to perfection! Very gentle and pleasant experience! I think I not only found my new nail salon, but nail lady too. She even threw in a very nice gift as well! The salon has a glam look to it with the walls being mirrors and the chandeliers. VIP Nails is a very beautiful, snazzy nail salon. My twin sister and I went in on a Sunday afternoon without an appointment for a mani-pedi. We were greeted by the owner,Vanessa who welcomed us and got us all set up Ann who did my nails, Victor did Paula's pedicure and Vanessa did her gel nails and manicure. They were very busy but made time for us. The place is nice and clean and everyone was very pleasant and did a super job! We really enjoyed being pampered after months of COVID-19 closures and relaxing. The football game was on and we watched Fox News and President Trump's rally in Carson City, Nevada which we enjoyed! Very good pedicure. Very friendly and talkative staff, I didn't even get a chance to read my book but that was a small price to pay for making a new friend. It's not much of a "massage" type of pedicure, if that's what you're used to. Your lower leg musculature won't get much attention. But the undersides of your feet will be scrubbed and scoured and worked like nobody's business, which is exactly what I needed. Also, and this is a totally random small thing, but my legs weren't all greasy afterwards. I noticed it once I sat back down because I was immediately worried I'd gotten that lotiony, oily residue on the ottoman but no, my legs were completely, pleasantly dry. Nice touch. read more

Stumbled upon this nail salon after wanting to get a pedicure after lunch. And VIP nails was in the same center, so we went. And we got some of the best pedicures EVER! Our pedicurists were very attentive to detail and took very good care of us! And the hot rocks were heavenly. The price is reasonable and we were all happy with our results. Love the decor still but disappointed lately in service which is what we go for at the end of the day. And that literally is the problem... I go at the end of a work day. Unless you want to sit in an empty place where they turn off some of the lights on you, mop the floors and put chairs up while you are still sitting there (trying to relax), be sure to head in before 5pm. They start cleaning like crazy at 6pm sharp. I will start trying another place now unfortunately. read more

We always stop by this place when we're in town. They always do a pretty good job as we usually get mani/pedis. The specific day I went recently I got just a manicure from Kelly and she did a great job. I didn't want any color so she polished my nails and they looked really clean and a lot better. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is my mom was charged 5$ for getting her nails cut down which is on their menu but in my opinion should be included in the manicure cost. read more

I went to VIP Nails today to get my manicure and pedicure and by far, this is the most welcoming and professional salon I've been to. They have done so much to make me satisfied with my time there and the spa chair that I sat in was unbelievably comfortable. The first person I met, who I presumed is the manager, was very polite and friendly and brought me to a table to get my manicure done. I got a gel manicure and a Signature pedicure. The massage made my legs very relaxed and my legs felt really fresh after the sea salt. The hot oil made my feet smooth and moisturized. I will definitely come back here. VIP Nails is my go-to salon to have a very relaxing day. I had Justin do my manicure and Ann do my pedicure. read more

Went in and got a pedicure and gel manicure. I always get gel at my other shop and it lasts for 2 to 3 weeks. 3 of my gels peeled of 3 days later. That has NEVER happened before. I gave 3 stars because the technician was very very nice and my pedicure was fine and is still in tact. read more

I have gone here for 8+ years whenever I am in town. The last time I went, 5 days ago, will be the last time I go there. I had pink and white powder dip, (At home I get SNS, maybe this is an inferior product?) on my nails. Being indoors and not having my glasses on, I didn't get a real good look at the finished product. On my thumbs, the pink looks more white without a clear demarcation line to show a nice white tip. 2 days later my nails started to chip. 2 big chips on one nail, a large crack on another that resulted in an even larger chip. My index finger also has a small piece of fuzz in it that the tech Steve should have seen. I am now filing down all my nails to try to make them look uniform. My last nail job done in Northern California lasted 5 1/2 weeks with NO chips for $40. I was very surprised when it came time to pay that the price was now $55. For that price, it should have been an excellent job. This salon was very convenient for me, but there are tons of nail salons down here and I will look elsewhere. read more

This place SUCKED. It's very nice inside but the customers are very stuck up and the staff was nice to an extent. And my nails look like trash and we're ridiculously OVERPRICED. As I was getting my pedicure done I tell the lady I'm thinking about getting a new set of acrylics put on and she proceeds to say, "that will be expensive ok?" as if I come to a nail salon with no money and am not aware of the prices. So I say ok and? When she finished my toes I put my shoes on and didn't look at them until I got home, and I should've looked at them earlier bc she left my big toe crooked and got paint on my cuticles. I then went to the guy to do my nails, I didn't really like them but didn't want to be rude and thought they wouldn't turn out that bad. When he finished they looked horrible and when I went to pay they told me it was 125!!!! 125 for a basic pedicure and an acrylic set??? I have no problem spending money on my toes and nails if it is worth it!!! These turned out horrible and sure as hell were not a 125 worth. I paid for my nails and left no tip, I will never be returning here again, outrageous prices and horrible nail techs. If you're looking for anything decent go anywhere but here, not worth the money or time. read more

I recently went to this salon while on vacation. I got a gel pedicure which is now almost completely gone, less than two weeks later. I was also shocked when they told me that the gel polish was an extra $25?! Maybe this is normal for California, but in Seattle this is outrageous. I didn't complain about the price but I did expect a good quality pedicure. The gentleman who served me was very kind, however, my feet were only massaged for five minutes (the whole pedicure took 20 minutes, which is ridiculous!), and I had to come back AN HOUR LATER because when I looked closely, only half my pinky toe was painted! Overall, I was very displeased with the experience. The pedicure was very low quality, very expensive ($68 with tip) and did not last the normal 4-6 weeks I expect from gel at home in Seattle. I will definitely be returning to Palm Springs, but I will DEFINITELY not be returning Vip Nails. Take your money somewhere else! read more

Went in for a pedicure and manicure. I don't usually get manicures, but my sister-in-law was getting one so I figured why not. The pedicure was ok although the massage was more painful than relaxing. The technician tried to upsell me to the next pedicure after basic. After I said no, he went on to insult me in an attempt to get me to do the more expensive pedicure. I still said no. After the pedicure, I had a manicure. It was awful. Again the technician tried to upsell me to get gels. Like I said, I never get manicures so I wasn't sure what the difference was between the shellac and a regular manicure. He tried it on one nail and it seemed fine so I said I would try it. He neglected to tell me that it was double the price, which I only found out when I went to pay. The entire manicure was a terrible experience, and I HATE the shellac. Unfortunately I can't take it off. I have to wait a few weeks until I can peel it off. Don't waste your money. Go to one of the other places that has better reviews. ETA: Got my manicure less than a week ago, and five of my fingers are already peeling. So much for their 2-3 week schpeel. read more

I have visited VIP at least six times. The salon is exceptionally clean and well staffed. I was presented with a price list to choose any level of service that I have time for. I brought several girlfriends on occasion and they have also had a wonderful experience. Nathan took care of me today. He is so friendly and gives a fantastic foot massage. Made an appointment at VIP nails and did not regret it one bit :) You are greeted with friendly faces as soon as you walk in and everyone is extremely welcoming. I showed the technician a picture of what I wanted and I came out very happy with the results. I highly recommend this place! I live in Orange County and we have a house in La Quinta so we are out there often and I had a gel manicure and regular pedicure while my 6 year old had her toes "painted". Very pricey - $10 for kids toes and with tip I walked out of there with a $102 tab. That's about $45 more than Orange County. Just be cautious when you go out and make sure you know the prices beforehand. My manicure wasn't' worth it and the callous remover did zero - he did a 3 minute scrub. read more

We both decided it was the worst pedicure we have had in a long time. $25 for bare minimum pedicure. Very short scrub on calluses and massage on feet and legs. VIP Nails is a rip off. They charge $50 for a gel pedicure that included nothing but a dry rub of my feet. Also she hand washed her tools at sink when she was done with me. Which by the way my pedicure took and hour and half. Would not recommend. Would not have paid and will bet I will have to come back tomorrow because pedi will not last. read more

I went in for a pedicure and they were able to accommodate me without an appointment which was great, but it went downhill from there. The spa tub is very shallow and the water was lukewarm. The manicurist, Lucy, gave me no time to soak which, for me, lessens the experience. I asked to add the 7 dollar callous remover to the pedicure; what a mistake! She barely put any of the solution on my feet or on my heels. She then went to remove the callous with a rough sponge. Needless to say this did not work. My heels are worse! They are not only rough, but now they are flaky. She didn't remove the ridges in my nails either so the polish isn't smooth. To add insult to injury, she left color on my skin around my toes on my right foot. I spent a total of 38.00, including tip, for a substandard pedicure that lasted 22 minutes. The customer said I am tired and Jackie leand in and said to her ( very rudely and loud enough for me to hear ), you always look tired, and I mean ALWAYS! Don't usually post reviews but felt like I had to this time. Called about pedicures for my partner and myself. Was quoted $35 each. When we got there they took me and started mine while my partner waited. They then took him and put him across the room from me so we couldn't even talk to one another except via sign language. Because he wasn't having polish put on they said massage would be longer. Did not happen. After putting on polish my final bill was like $115.00. When I inquired they said it was extra for the polish I choose yet didn't say thank thing when I picked it. Bottom line is their prices are not as advertised and they heard you thru like cattle not people. Would not recommend nor will I return. read more
