Is it the best mani pedi? Eh, no, but really good! Situation - I was in a crunch to get a gel mani/pedi the day before vacation. I called an hour prior to arrival just to make sure they could do a walk in. Got there, picked colors, started the soak-off, pedicure (tropical spa package with short nails), manicure (regular gel, round, short), and done. I took a star as a second color base coat under the sparkles on my fingernails would have made the colors solid. Some fingernails look grey while others look black. The sides of some toenails were not painted. I took off one star because it was hella pricey for the job done. I liked the place but not in love. read more

I used to go to Venus nails but my mom and sister started coming here, they loved it! After a few times of it being hit or miss at Venus I decided to try VIP. Great decision! I am extremely picky about my nails as a matter a fact when I first moved to Clarksville I would drive 45 minutes away so that I could continue to get my nails done by my usual nail tech. I always get the gel nails and love getting pedicures here! It's small but it's very comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and always remember me. They get to know you on a personal level without digging into your personal life if that makes sense. They do a great job! You might have to wait when you go in but it's totally worth the wait. I work in food and people always ask about my nails or compliment me on them. Any woman knows if other women compliment your nails, that is a great feeling. They were going back and forth between customers trying to get multiple clients done at the same time. I felt like he rushed my nails. There are some sharp edges near my cuticle where the acrylic wasn't smoothed out and he nicked my fingers a few times. read more

This is one of the worst salons I have ever been to. First they charge $40 for a gel fill when my usually place charges $25. ..even their price sheet says $25 for a gel fill. The guy that did my nails was nice and tried his best but still they turned out 'okay' for the time being. He cut me with the drill and all my nails are different lengths as well as me gel coat being lumpy. After he painted my nails two got chipped. ..when I asked him to repaint it he came with and orange color( my reg color was nude) and tried to paint half my nail with the orange color. He tried to tell me to leave it like that and that it looked nice. .. ummm. ..NO! So then he repainted all my nails the reg color which I had to refind and now my nails look like the paint is peeling!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE AND I ADVISE NO ONE TO GO HERE!!! I just recently moved here and decided to give it a try. I always had my festive nails done back home at a great place so I had my picture ready for them to match. I was seated soon as I walked in everyone was very sweet and nice. The lady there made sure to look at my picture multiple times and matched the color and the way I wanted them to the best ability she could and she did. I was very surprised the different options and all the matching she did to get as close to what I wanted. I wish I got her name but I didn't. She was so sweet. Recommend. read more

Never again! Went in for a simple fill, left with one hand full of 4in thick acrylic and the other wacked down way shorter than requested, shorter than the other hand, and uneven. A different lady that worked there did offer to have some one fix them, however she's the same lady that picked the bad tech to work my nails the first time. I cried and left.. I've been going to Ken at VIP Nails on Lowe's Dr. In Clarksville, to get my nails done for more than 10 years now. He's really quick, yet does a great job! While traveling, I've had a couple of occasions where I had to get my gel fill while out of town and every time, I'm disappointed. I always go to Ken and he reverses the damage! :) VIP Nails also has great massage chairs to relax while getting your pedi!! read more

My experience here has always been wonderful. My nail tech is Kenny and he does an excellent job EVERY time I come to get a refill or a brand new set. The prices are affordable and reliable and I can definitely say that being a "broke" college student. You come and have a good laugh and just relax. I was really surprised to see how high this place was rated. I was greeted rudely when I first walked in, and then was treated even more disrespectfully when I said I just needed a nail polish change. The nail Polish was done quickly and he did not clean up the "oops" on my fingers after. I then got my toe nails done which was with a different person who was a little better. Based off the sign when I first walked in, I thought the nail Polish was $5, and toes were $7. When I paid, the original rude guy told me it was $18... $10 for toes, $5 for nail change, and an extra $3 "nail shaping" charge. Never heard of that before! Never going back again. read more

Friendly gal at pedicure station but guy who did my gel never said a word they filed down the tops of my nails before soaking ouchy... The product was old and lumpy and when I pointed that out he did get another bottle...end result started peeling and chipping within 10 days I went elsewhere next time...they had alot of older ladies...my age 60s...so I suppose if you just want polish its ok read more

Terrible pedi. It was super short, the "massage" was just rubbing lotion in, and the polish is all over my toes. My heels are really dry and all they did was scrub it with a brush.. I have been here a few times to get my gel nails filled. I'd like to say they are friendly, and they are clean. That's about it.They get too busy, and I always end up rushing. The last few times I went I was upset about my how my nails looked. I am a very picky person. Oh and if your nail accidentally breaks after a day, they make you pay to fix it. It's gel, they shouldn't break so easily especially when it's a brand new set and all I'm doing is drying dishes. I won't go back. To sum it up they rush you, they don't know how to use time efficiently, and when they paint your nails and do the clear gel layover they half do it. I am so unbelievably upset on how my time was here. I spend over 120 dollars to get shellac on my nails and a pedicure. The shellac started falling off my nails after 3 days and my cuticles are frayed and bleeding because of the manicure. I came in a week later expressing my frustration and I told them I didn't want to pay for getting my shellac off since I just paid over 100 dollars coming in a week ago. They made me pay to get it off. Never go to this salon they don't know how to properly put on shellac. I've had it last 3 weeks... Three days is nothing. read more

Got my nails done here yesterday for the military ball on Saturday. I went in right as they opened and ken took care of me. I showed him a picture of the shape I wanted for my nails and he almost nailed it. Not quite like the picture but good enough. I don't get my nails done often so when they are pretty much what I ask for im happy. I got a new gel set for $35 and one nail a different color to match my dress. I will return to VIP nails. read more

I started going to this place from the first month they opened a little over ten years ago. Up until the last four visits everything went pretty well. But the service has gone down hill. Ken has always done my nails but I think because I have been coming for so long he thinks I will tolerate whatever he does. He filed my nails while watching tv so that he has actually filed my skin on one hand instead of the nail. They were busy at the time so I didn't want to complain since I had been going to them for so long. But the next time I came in he gave me the worst nail job I have ever had. Sorry but they won't ever see me again, obviously he doesn't value his customers anymore. read more
