My stylist was "Kevin" (an older Asian man) and he was AWFUL. I have had him before (and he's always awful - and he has a jerk attitude) and now every time I call to make appt - I request not to have him. (I was calling him "Ken" but found out recently his name is Kevin. But they know who I'm talking about. Well.... Twice now I have still gotten him. I'm not one to make a scene - so I've gone along w it. But not anymore! I'm DONE going to Top Nails. He scrapes my nails so bad/hard - to the point of them bleeding a little bit on Sunday when I was there. When he can't get the polish off by scraping it - he gets his Emory board out and files the shit out tops of my nails - and gets the skin too. He needs to be FIRED. I have been to this nail salon several times. I have only been serviced by Ning and Khoi. I appreciate that this salon works solely off appointments. If you walk-in they will do their best to fit you in. To be on the safe side schedule an appointment. I came to this salon with damaged, brittle nails and Ning took great care of me to get them back healthy. She wasn't just focused on money to service me she actually help create a plan before I could start using dip again. The entire team is very detailed and focus on the health of your nails instead of over drilling and hoping you don't care. They actually care. This was my first time getting a mani, pedi and my eyebrows tinted. Today's experience made me regret it... I called before time to see if they did ombre eyebrow tint. The lady that answered the phone assured me they did. I get there today and the lady that did my eyebrows had no idea what ombre was. Her answer was, we'll see. Needless to say, they were not ombre. At first glance in the dimly lit room, they looked ok. When I got home and took a closer look in the light... I could see that she exaggerated the tent down to my lower eyelids, which I'm told doesn't wear off for a couple of days. She made a bald spot in my brow by being sloppy with the wax and the parts she was supposed to clean up, more than a few hairs were still there. I had to clean them up when I got home. I was bumping up immediately and she did nothing to combat the irritation. The pedicurist was already frustrated before she got to me, but still friendly until we got to the part of my French tips. She made them so fat and lopsided. When she asked did I like them, I politely asked her if she could make them thinner and straighter a couple of times.... after the one she fixed, she stopped asking. Had to bring a few more to her attention (still wasn't quite to my satisfaction), but I didn't want to seem like I was nitpicking. I politely asked why don't they use the little shaping stencils so they don't have to free-hand them? Granted my toenails were not long, and I mentioned that next time I would grow them out more before getting another pedi... but in my mind, that didn't have anything to do with the lines being too thick and not symmetrical. But of course, she tried to blame it on that. The manicurist was the most pleasant one the whole time, but it would have been a lot better outcome if she too, used the stencil and would have taken less time. I just got out of the salon a few hours ago and the white tips are already chipping. I haven't done anything but eat lunch and went to a Dr's appointment. I am extremely disappointed and needless to say, I will never return. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I regret wasting my time and money. I always tip if the service is good or bad. I am more generous if the service is good, but this place made me regret tipping at all. read more

Koi does a phenomenal job if you like to do dip nails! There are no frills here with the dip manicure but this manicure LASTS. I have a job that is rough on the hands and if I got a manicure it would chip or crack within the first week but here my nails always looked great and no breakage! Unlike other places I've been Koi always finishes the top coat with gel polish which comes out much shinier. I wish I found this place sooner. So I came here for my first time with my friend to get acrylic full set and a pedicure. We both were getting our pedicures and i always verify the price before the service is done to avoid any Inconveniences. All my life in every city I've been to, to get my pedicures I always get gel on my toes with a basic pedicure for $28. Prices range from place to place with pedicures this I know, but when I asked how much for Gel I've always been told $5 more for gel on toes when getting a pedicure anywhere I've ever gone! The lady told me it would be $20! $20 extra on top of my pedicure service fee..... I've NEVER been charged that much... so I definitely feel as if I had my money taken maybe because times are hard right now financially due to coronavirus, maybe not. But that's not okay with me. Then while we're getting out pedicures Mai asked us what kind of full set did we want. I kept saying REGULAR ACRYLIC FOR $30! Yet she was still being pushy and insisting that we get dip powder. "Get dip get dip it last longer" is what she kept saying. So I'm just like okay fuck what I want and what I'm saying. She tried up charging every chance she got. Makes me not want to come here anymore. I know I'm not trippen about that damn $20 Gel for my toes it's never been that much! Only reason I'm giving a 1 star is because my money was Involved. Not only was i soaking my feet for 40 minutes&getting passed over to watch other women who came in after me, get done with their pedicures first, but their polish sucks! i think my polish lasted a day&a half before it started peeling off like glue, not even chipping, i could grab one end&the polish would come right off in the shape of my nail. Got right in and the pedicure was awesome. I got the callus removal and she did a great job, my feet are baby smooth. I've been coming here for over a month and finally leaving now with a nail FUNGUS infection! Never in all my years of getting my nails done, even in different states has this happened. I'm mortified. I remained humble today but inside I wanted to scream at them. In my experience here, I feel as though I have to repeat what I want when getting my nails done only to be met with argument. Its my money and what I say should go, correct? For weeks I would be charged differently for the same thing. Gel fill, gel polish, coffin nail, basically one color....but yet everytime i have at least paid 3 different prices.The wait time and inattention is absurd. YARI was the only one here who did an amazing job. She's fast as hell lol but is very dedicated to having your nails look fly. Amy was also great and such a wonderful person. However, I've had to sit with several different people to get one set of nails filled on several occasions. Constant lifting, breaking and peeling of polish. I would also love to know why im being upcharged to file my nails down!!?? it's a fill and I want to keep the length controlled but yet they want to argue about that. I'm confused.... also, i don't appreciate the rush and over drilling of my nails. They were treating my real nails as though they are indestructible. This made me incredibly mad considering they cracked my real nail drilling too damn much and after I've stated this in my last fill before today, Larissa goes ahead with the drill and cuts and burns my finger after the fact. tf?! I do not appreciate not being listened to after I just specifically stated it was fragile. Even after today, I was cut again near my cuticles by mai. Ripped my hand away so fast i don't know how I had the time to bite my tongue. I asked her to please be more careful only to be met with a fake smile, and "I'm sorry". For someone that says there sorry, rushing the remaining time for my nails getting done and not shaping them fully, and not fulfilling my wanting them to be shorter, says otherwise. They definitely need to take better care with people because this is just too much! What also really irks me, is the amount of product being used, or should I say not used. I've had my nails break on 2 occasions due to thin nails because they want to be cheap and use as little product as possible. 2X going to get my nails filled, they didn't even fill them all the way and when I asked why, they mumble some bs excuse. like what? I'm also tired of them trying to upcharge me and pressure me to get extra shit as well. Like I'm not some uneducated child just getting her nails done. I'm pretty sure I'm paying you. 20 years now and I'm comfortable with saying I know I good place when I have one. This one isn't it. All in all, I've tried really hard to like this establishment. But after the incidents and treatment taken place here, I will never go back and I do not recommend it to anyone. I have a green spot on my nail due to they're improper technique and contaminated tools which they said is (bacteria) but my dermatologist tested it TODAY after my appointment and it's FUNGUS. Either one is completely UNNACCEPTABLE. They damn well knew what it was and although I sat there and was humble about the situation, and continued to get my nails done,inside I was livid. I heard through the grape vine that this wasn't there 1st rodeo with giving clients infection to be quite honest. I'm absolutely disgusted. I now have to remove my nail and let it heal per my dermatologists orders today. I should have never continued to get them filled when this first arrose. I just wanted it to go away, what with the holidays coming up but sadly, deep down I knew better. Even getting them done today, which I admit was not my best moment, was in fact a stupid idea. My dermatologist recommended that I remove the fake nail. which I did. It is in fact a serious fungus infection which now needs to heal for weeks with topicals applied. I really hate to even make this review. I liked some of the ladies here, and it saddens me to even write this but after today, I'm done. The public needs to be aware!!! To top it off, I was charged $5.00 extra even though I personally removed the nail that was infected to inspect it and file it down myself. Thanks! You give me an infection and still charge me $5 just for a little extra product and to redo it due to your negligence. lmao real nice. Oh hell no. This was my first experience in this salon and will be the last. I waited 1 hour! 1 HOUR! To be seen. Should of left at this point but I was so desperate to get my nails done as I was getting married the next day. I was assigned to a lady who sat me next to the reception desk. She asked me what I wanted and I showed her a picture and she got to work. Now, this was a very simple design, a full set acrylic with a gel polish on top. Nothing fancy, plain simple. What would usually take someone else a little under an hour took this lady almost 2!!! Not including the wait time! This was because she kept getting up every 5 minutes to talk to someone else and would Come and sit back down and forget where she left off. No word of a lie she did this at least 7/8 times. This is not including that she spent 10 minutes chatting to another employee at the the reception desk too, but this when was she was supposed to be sat down working on my nails instead she looking up at this other chick and paying her more attention. She also had a phone call during my appointment, which showed me she really can't multitask, she was always very distracted. The overall outcome of my nails was poor, she also kept saying things like 'are you sure you want this' 'do you not want to cut them a little shorter?' Like it was her own preference. Which its not, I'm the paying customer- not her! I hated the nails they were ugly and she overcharged me. When I asked why she mumbled like she knew it was ridiculous! $65!!!!! Ok sometimes i hate being the bearer of bad news but I....must.....review. So was super excited to get a pedicure done because my feet are...well i'll just keep rolling with the cave woman theme. I just recently moved back to Clarksvegas from VA and i couldn't remember where i went when i lived here before. I figured this place was close so sure why not. This is why not. It resides in a run down retail mall that has a lot of closed stores and the only thing that is supporting this location is the Krogers in the same area. Most nail places do perform pedicures and you can usually just walk in. I walked in about 2 pm, the store was actually pretty nice inside. There was another lady other than myself getting a pedicure and the nail person greeted me pretty fast and i sat down. Water was warm, settled in and noticed that there was one, yes one nail tech in the whole salon. I started to chit chat. The nail tech called another person on the phone and told me that they would be back in about 10 min. No worries, i had time. Now i want to point out that the nail tech that WAS there was very nice and i think that she was just overwhelmed with what she had to do; finishing up a pedicure for the pleasant lady that had been coming to that location for 11 years and having to do a mani on her as well, then a potential pedi for me and a third lady came in asking for a filler? ( nail terms i assume). The person that was supposed to come back never did, while i was there anyway. I waited way too long ( 30 min) with my feet in the water without progression. I always give every business i visit a chance and walk in with an open mind. I was quite disappointed and decided to leave. Told the nail tech that i waited way too long. Well then i forgot my nook was on my lap and when i was getting up it fell in to the basin. Uggggh, why couldn't it be my phone that had a waterproof case up to 6 ft fall in? Pretty much sums up my experience, left with a water logged nook and no pedicure for the day :( It just wasn't meant to be. Guess i'll be driving to the other side of town to get one done from now on and hopefully my nook will survive ( it's currently sitting in a closed jar of rice to suck out the water from inside). Just left this place without receiving any of the services requested. There were 2 technicians working with 1 in the break room in the back. Each tech had a customer. I requested a pedicure and an eyebrow wax. I waited 20 minutes and then they called me back to put my feet in water. I waited with my feet in water for 35 more minutes while they both continued to work on their original clients. When one of them FINALLY acknowledged me again, she came over to offer to change my water out saying she was sure it was getting cold. I said "yknow don't worry about it if no ones going to be ready to help me soon, I'll just go." Instead of offering me an estimate of how much longer it would be, she gave me a ton of attitude saying "sorry". I said "well it's been a kind of ridiculous wait. I have a family at home I'd rather spend time with if I'm just going to be here hanging out". Neither of the workers said anything more and I left. Completely ridiculous and a total waste of time. While I was there, at least 6 other customers came and left after they'd waited. This place is losing money and customers quickly.
