I had been going to VIP for over 10 years. They used to be the best quality, but service went down as prices went up. I was thete every 2-three weeks, spending over 120+ for gel mani-pedis. My results were not as good as they used to be. For example, when I asked if they could also clean up my cuticles I was told that I could so that myself at home. Also, when I said I was leaving for a week at the shore my tech made fun of my choice, saying she wouldn't waste her time. A real vacation is the islands, not ugly Jersey. Of course the islands would be nicer, but way to look down on your paying customer. I didn't lose sleep over it, but I also don't have to go back. read more

Disappointing. Came in and payed over $70 for ombré dipping powder on my fingernails, first of all, the powder doesn't even come with a full manicure?? I then asked for my cuticles to be done and she neglected to ever do that. After leaving and seeing how the nails truly looked after drying they looked awful. Absolutely unacceptable for the $70 payed. I returned a couple days later to get a full gel manicure, it took 2 hours for them to do this as they were up and down and taking other clients instead of finishing me! Turned out that as of writing this a few days later, my nails are already chipped and peeling! There's no way the polish is gel if it's chipping and falling off when all i do is play on my computer most of the day ‍. This is beyond disappointing as previously this was my favorite salon. The staff is nice so I didn't want to say anything but I figure a review is better. read more

My wife speaks Vietnamese. She has bad arthritis in her hands. The entire time she was in there the staff made fun of her hands and her psoriasis. I would have gave 1 star but her nails did look nice. I really wouldn't suggest going somewhere where the staff are this unprofessional. read more

I been going to this for years and everyone is very sweet and nice. When I get my nails done they always ask me questions to see if I like my nails, and they always know what I want which is a Regular full set of Acrylic nails with color and I only had to pay $45. Which in my opinion is cheap, but you have to give then additional services cost/tip. Plus, they do accept walk-in too which I love. I totally recommend it! read more

Pedicure and full set. Awful! I'll start with the pedicure... a young boy did the pedicure and I left with heels still so rough and dry that they actually catch on my carpet at home. I still had my coat on while at the pedicure and the nails were started immediately not even asking if they could take my coat. He actually never even spoke at all. While I was getting this done the full set was done on the little tray table at the pedicure chair by a different man. I had a pink and white set and the nails were left sooo thick and misshapen. Under the nails were big lumps of acrylic. After about 10 days I went to LA Nails and they did a lovely job fixing his mess. He charged me 88 dollars for the job and I tipped him well too. Today was my first time at VIP and I will definitely be back. They were very busy so I suggest calling ahead to make an appointment. As a walk in i waited about an hour, but didn't mind at all. Went here for my first ever manicure. I got gel. The technicians are friendly and knowledgeable, and made me feel at ease even with metal objects coming at my cuticles. I was very satisfied with my nails, but I have one complaint. The general manage (I don't know his name) was rushing his employees terribly, scolding them for not being fast enough when things were moving along okay. He shooed my technician away and finished my nails himself, which didn't affect the quality of my nails, but did really feel rushed and careless. He made a couple comments about how short my nails are, which I already knew about and wasn't there to fix. The experience was really nice overall except for that one employee. I walked in on Sunday 10/8 @ around 11 am. They were starting to get busy with their booked appointments but were nice enough to squeeze me in. Tony worked on my nails, not only was he quick and friendly you could see his dedication to the salon. Every chance he had to start on another guest he did. He ensured everyone was comfortable and taken care of. The salon itself was well kept, clean and played music softly that was comforting. The pricing is about average but the experience was better then most in this town. I will say as with most places call and schedule an appointment because walk ins can't always be accommodated depending on how booked they are. My first observation upon walking in was the intense chemical odor which nail products emit, though I do recognize this is largely unavoidable. Additionally, the employee working on my nails was very impersonal and seemed to be preoccupied with or distracted by other things. Furthermore, they didn't have matte black polish and suggested I go buy some myself. However, ulitmately my nails came out looking great. I've been coming to VIP for years. It's my favorite place in Quakertown to get my nails done. If you haven't had Mike do your nails, do yourself a favor and book him he is amazing!!!! Very friendly and personable and does an amazing job. My last 2 times I've been there I've had Tony and i was a bit disappointed. He took time from my nails to sit on his phone. Not kidding. This is not the first or second or even third time he has done this a couple of my friends have done this. It's just a bit frustrating when I have things to do and I also want to relax and he just sits on his phone. He is the only one I've ever had an issue with. Everyone else there is amazing and as long as you don't get the guy that sits directly behind the counter, you're in good hands. read more

I've never had a regular manicure last so long... It survived the holiday weekend with many loads of hand washing dishes. My only recommendation would be to have plastic bag inserts for the pedicure stations with individual, disposable kits per customer. read more
