First and last time going there . This one worker was so unprofessional and rude . I should had looked at the reviews first ! Money down the drain ! This lady didn't listen at all . A manager Leeann took over and was very nice . I am not happy with the length & shape ( which rude worker did). My nails actually hurt AND IM IN PAIN ! I drove all the way from Easton to Trexlertown to do my nails and it was SO WORTH IT. Got my nails done my Minh, he was so friendly and very accommodating to what I wanted. I showed him a picture and he did exactly what I showed him ... He did an amazing job. I got an acrylic full set with abstract designs in all fingers, and got a gel pedicure. I am writing this review in hopes of who ever is in charge of pure nails sees this and do a better job at either hiring or teaching their employees great customer service skills. My experience there was terrible and I went in excited to try this new place out and share with all my friends. Unfortunately I was placed with the guy Mara and I'm not 100% sure that's his name. As I'm getting my acrylic nails done, I notice he didn't shorten my real nails and I asked him "aren't you going to cut them so they don't show under the fake nail?" Mara's response was nail long betta "do you do nails?" "I've been doing nails for long time". I told him twice he doesn't need to be rude to me !!! If I'm wrong he could have just explained to me. To my opinion I personally don't think it looks good when my real nail is long underneath my fake ones. absolutely terrible! i have heard good things about this place and my regular salon is currently closed so i decided to try them out. i got a french dip and my nails have literally never looked worse in my life. the picture speaks for itself..nothing was done correctly, the lines were uneven, the shaping was terrible, and the top coat wasn't smooth at all. i probably should have said something but it was so bad i didn't even know what to say and i doubted they would be able to fix it anyway. i when i got to the car and realized how bad they were i was so annoyed. i soaked them off with acetone as soon as i got home..i've been here a couple times before for pedicures and i didn't have the best experience but i figured i would give them one last try. definitely the last time, please save your money read more

Absolutely horrible place, I have had my nails done for many years, I always get an acrylic fill, gel polish. This was the third time I went to this place out of necessity. The first 2 times were just ok, they really over use the filing drill, have the speed way too high so my nails feel like they are on fire! I believe the rude employee I had today was "V" wow, no personality, she had a video playing on her phone that she thought she secretly put in her top drawer and I wouldn't notice, but I did! She seriously kept watching this video while doing my nails, no surprise that I had 2 fingers bleeding! Scheduled an appointment for a Builder's Gel (Pink and White fill). Appointment was scheduled with Casey. Appointment was honored; but the appointment was not with Casey. They claimed that Casey had to go to a graduation; however, I called and scheduled the appointment one day prior so why didn't they tell me he wouldn't be there, especially since it wasn't an unforeseen emergency? Sounds like bate and switch. Granted, that was annoying but that wasn't the worst part. The individual who did my nails did not appear to know what he was doing and prompts me to question whether he is licensed. As indicated above, I requested a pink and white fill with Builder's gel. The nail tech began by telling me that everyone does nails differently and he wanted to know if I wanted White powder or builder's gel. I explained that I wanted builder's gel. He complained about the product saying it "sucked" and the white gel was "too runny." He was frustrated about the application brush saying it was "horrible" and didn't understand how he could use The white gel never dried and when he applied the power drill to it to file it the white gel was completely filed off my nail; forcing him to do a second application. He also indicated that the nail bit (from the drill) that he was using was not the correct one and he couldn't find the right part. (NOTE: The sanitizer they had hanging on the wall wasn't turned on so I am not even sure that the tools were clean). This time he applied white powder acrylic rather than the builder's gel that was originally requested. The second application was certainly an improvement but does not have a professional appearance. The residual white builder's gel from the first application is still stuck underneath my nails and on my fingers. The top coat of gel is uneven and bumpy. While someone offered to fix it, I was already there for close to 2 hours (Apt at 12PM left at apx 1:45P) and didn't have additional time to stay. I was charged for the service but at a discounted rate. The service is usually $50.00 but they only charged $40.00. I am unsure of what the individual's name is but he said he is Casey's brother. He said he only comes to "fill in" when he is needed. There is only an operational license hanging on the wall when you enter the salon but NONE of the nail technicians have copies of their licenses at their workstations. I am not even sure that the individual who did my nails is licensed as he said he learned how to do nails "a little here and there." Hind sight being 20/20, I should have left when I learned that Casey was not available to do my nails. In my years of getting manicures, I have NEVER had to have them redone because the gel failed to adhere to my nails. read more

I went here today to get a full set with gel acrylics. They helped me and my girlfriend right away, even tho they rushed us a little I wasn't mad about it. The woman who did my nails did an amazing job and made them as short as I wanted without complaint. Everytime I go get to my nails done I like them short (I'm a waitress so they can't be too long) and every other place will complain and say they can't do it. But not this place. Although my nails were done properly by a lady named V, She has to be the rudest nail technician I have ever experienced in my whole life. been going here for a long time, but this last pedicure i had done was awful. as soon as i got back to the chair, the tech (don't know her name) told me i wore the wrong shoes for a pedicure and was rude right off the bat (i had sandals on, not sure there's a "right" or "wrong" shoe to wear). didn't even give my feet any time to soak before she started throwing them around, hardly communicating just shoving my feet in and out of the bowl with a stank look on her face the entire time. hurting my feet and being extremely rough. then i gave her the two colors i wanted (one as the first coat, one as the second). she asked to see them and proceeded to tell me that they're "the same" to which i responded "they're not" (2 different OPI shades with two very different names). she continued with her attitude and rushing through because she needed to go outside and chain smoke 3 cigarettes while i sat in the chair since they got rid of their nail drying station. so many employees here are professional and kind, but this one may need to rethink her career choice because she is absolutely miserable and it shows. read more

The first time I went to the salon, the tech made 3 of my fingers bleed, saying that it was because I had sensitive cuticles. That may be, but he was also on and off his phone the entire time he was doing my nails (full set, gel mani). I went back to get a fill. This time a different male tech gave me the most unprofessional manicure I've ever had. He told me that I needed to turn on my own light, asked me several times if he had put a coat on my nails already, forgot to paint my thumb, and made some really obnoxious remarks. He completely misshaped one of my nails that I'm going to have to have redone somewhere else. My nail beds were on fire (I'm assuming this is from overusing the drill). He told me that the fill was $48 (WAY more than any salon in the area) but then gave me $15 back when I handed him $60 in cash (???). By the time I drove away from the salon, the paint was peeling off of my fingers. I did go back and the manager fixed them for me, but it took up 2+ hours of my afternoon for an overpriced, unprofessional fill. I will not be returning. read more

i have been going there every once in awhile to get my eyebrows waxed since probably around 2013. i recently went in to get them waxed and left extremely disappointed and a little disgusted. I was sitting in the chair and the woman that came in to help me was extremely rude. she began using a STRAIGHT EDGE RAZOR, that clearly was not cleaned. I stoped her and said i came here to get my eyebrows WAXED. and she insisted she was "combing them down". She then started waxing my eyebrows and i could smell and feel that she had not washed her hands! she used dirty and worn out tools on my face. makes me wonder how many other faces she's touched with those tools. The next day i broke out and now have plenty of pimple to prove she was not being sanitary. Pure Nails was once a respectable place, im not sure what happened. i will not be returning. read more
