I visited VIP on a Halloween and got a man/pedi. The place was packed but I was serviced right away. They were a bit rough, but I appreciated how quick I was done. The prices here are a bit steep, but you don't have many options in Monroe. The only real issue is the amount they charge you for using a debit/credit card. I have never had such a terrible experience, and as a bride I am ashamed I allowed these individuals to render services on myself and family members. I honestly wish I could give this establishment 0 stars. If you value the money you work for, please find somewhere else to get your nails done. I came with a wedding party and we were met with nothing but tardy workers (appointment time at 9AM, with half of the staff not at work when the doors opened) and attitudes. The bride asked KEVIN for a design, and was IMMEDIATELY met with a poor attitude and near refusal to complete the task. He swatted her hands and rushed the job entirely, while simultaneously berating the receptionist insisting "she doesn't know anything, I work here, I know." Instead of simply looking for the color the bride requested. M Our appointments were 11/26 and the SAME DAY, the mother of the bride lost TWO nails, simply existing. No major activities whatsoever. This speaks to how rushed and poorly these nail techs treated such a major occasion. Onto my appointment...my pedicure was okay, but my manicure was TERRIBLE and yep, you guessed it....RUSHED. Appointments were easy to book since the person who answered the phone spoke English. Our arrival greeting, digital check in, and their polish selection were all great. The building is nice, well decorated, clean and they have a little bar set up for customer drinks. They're socially distancing clients and have plexiglass shields up between the customers and techs. Their services seem fairly priced; their regular pedicure is $35. That's where the good experience ends... When we got to the actual pedicure, service was average at best. It was the fastest my toes have ever been done and it shows. My tech asked if I wanted my nails cut down and she barely did then she didn't really file them at all so they're sharp and uneven. Edges aren't sealed in polish and the whole thing looks sloppy... When I was paying, I used a Yelp check in deal that had to be approved by 3 different people before the 5% discount was applied, they then demanded I pay in cash, and were visibly upset when I couldn't pay the whole total in cash without any posted signage or prior notice of that policy. This is a great nail place with great prices. I happened on it here on Yelp when I was in town and WOW! Jamie was my technician. She was so nice and friendly. The salon is huge and they operate long hours -- they must do hundreds maybe thousands of manicures and pedicures each month. This was my first time and I was very pleased. Guys were fast, which I'm a fan of... but the pricing was outrageous compared to what I was quoted. Dip powder and pedi were quoted at $70. Picked a gel for the pedi instead which I knew would be an upcharge. However, I lead charged $95 and $105 instead. When I asked why- I was told that due to soaking off my nails was an upcharge and my sis actually getting a manicure w the powder (which was only a nail filing and cuticle cut) made the $15 and $25 differentials. I live in Houston where the standard of living is much more than that of monroe, Louisiana and I've never seen such exorbitant pricing for services rendered at a salon. Too, anytime I've ever had a powder done, the removal is part of the pricing included. I've never paid for a removal of previous dip powder unless I was solely removing the powder w no new application. And $15 for soaking and scrubbing my own nails is a bit ridiculous... along w pricing of the said "manicure" Had I been given the actual pricing before, the shock wouldn't have been what it was, and the review would be better. I was expecting $160-170 total... but ended up paying $200 for a mani/pedi in good ol Funroe. Haven't even seen those prices in Chicago or LA... and it def wasn't worth that $$ read more

If I bump a nail and mess it up after leaving, as I usually do, they are always willing to help fix it. The service was subpar, the pedicure was the fastest thing I had ever experienced, and my guy seemed to not have any idea what he was doing when doing my full set. It was crazy. It was going to be a $14 fee for the card, not including the tip, and not accounting for being completely ripped off in both the price and quality of service. Got a terrible pedicure. The nail tech seemed very rushed. He failed to completely remove my old purple nail polish from some of my nails which you can see. The paint job was very sloppy and the pedicure overall was lackluster. He only scrubbed part of my foot. I also asked him to add another coat of polish because the coverage is pretty sloppy in some areas and he said it was just the color.. also there is a HAIR that dried on my big toe... that's gross. The whole process took about 15-20 min which I'm now realizing was not long enough for them to do a good job. Visited here for a pedicure and refill on powder nails as I was visiting family and unable to visit my normal salon in Houston. The pedicures are overpriced in regards to the service received. The nail service was ok (only reason for 2 stars) however there is an 11% additional charge for debit card usage or you have the option to use the atm for a fee and additional fees from your bank due to it being out of network.
