I pay $40 (pretty cheap so not mad) tipped her $6. And she just went buckwild bad with the polish. We get done and she motions me to go to the nail drying station but doesn't pick up any of my stuff. I carefully pick up my wallet, keys and phone and the nails are instantly smushed. She has a fit meanwhile I'm calm as ever about it and swiftly paints over them and AGAIN.. Gets them smeared from me transferring my stuff to the other station. I won't lie, I was over it after that and didn't let her fix it. I'm 9 months pregnant with thin patience so I apologize. I proceeded to tell her not to worry about it, I would just go home and fix them. I didn't even cry or get that upset. I was just ready to be out of there. She then tries to lighten the mood and ask about my pregnancy and what I'm having cause she could clearly tell I was off. but yeah.. not for me. Won't be back. But I did fix my nails and they look pretty great now! so thanks for the wonderful shaping of them. Glad I picked polish so I could just wipe the gunk job off.

1/5 - Would not recommend. Last Christmas, my husband…read morepurchased a $167 gift card from T & P Nails as a gift for me. Unfortunately, our toddler accidentally threw it away. I called the salon to see if they could locate the gift card purchase and possibly honor it, since it hadn't been used. I provided them with detailed information: the receipt number, date, time, and amount of purchase. The woman I spoke with said she would get back to me but never did. A few days later, I called again. She confirmed she had located the transaction in their system but needed to speak with her boss before giving an answer, and again promised a follow-up. Two to three weeks passed with no response. I called once more. The original woman wasn't in, and the new person I spoke to placed me on hold while she and her boss discussed the situation--then told me she'd call back in a couple of hours. She didn't. The next morning, I missed a call from them but called back immediately. That's when I was told they would not honor the gift card. Their reasoning? "Best Buy wouldn't honor a lost gift card, so we won't either." I understand policies, but comparing a small local business to a national chain isn't a fair justification. As hardworking individuals who actively try to support local businesses, this response was disappointing. T & P Nails made it clear they prioritize policy over people. So, I hope they enjoy the $167--because I won't be returning.

The most disappointing part of the pricing was that there was no upfront pricing discussion, and there wasn't even a breakdown at checkout until asked. It has only been 5 days, and one has already popped off. I'm gentle with my nails and given the price, I expected at least a two-week lifespan. Clean environment, welcoming staff, but their pricing policy could use some tweaking.

As we went to do my manicure she got the gel polish all over my hands as she would clean it up and with her own fingers and touch all over my hands and stuck them under the UV lamp to dry, which risks giving me contact dermatitis as gel dried all over my hands. Then she cut one nail too short and added an extension but did not place it properly leaving a space between my nail and the extension for dangerous bacteria to grow when it gets wet. I have to get my nail redone as to not risk getting this bacteria that would prevent me from being able to get my nails done. So in total they risked me getting my toe infected, contact dermatitis, and a greenie finger nail most of which would prevent me from getting my nails done in the future. - sincerely cosmetologist
