Visited here for a pedicure and refill on powder nails as I was visiting family and unable to visit my normal salon in Houston. The pedicures are overpriced in regards to the service received. The nail service was ok (only reason for 2 stars) however there is an 11% additional charge for debit card usage or you have the option to use the atm for a fee and additional fees from your bank due to it being out of network. I hope the 12 dollar fee on my 110 (plus 10 dollar tip) service was worth it because I will surely not be visiting this establishment again. read more

Do not waste your time. WORST mani/pedi I have ever received. My tech was on the phone the entire visit and I even had to ASK him to push/cut my cuticles back before applying polish on my toes. My child could have done a better job at painting my toes than him. Not to mention my heels still have dry skin on them. The manicure was a JOKE. He never oiled, pushed back cuticles, shaped up nails- nothing. In fact, I started shaping them up myself because he kept getting up to talk on the phone. Over all, terrible experience! Will never go back! read more

The nail tech was really nice but the lady at the desk was weird and entitled. The nail tech kept telling me to check in which I have to do at the desk. I was going to wait until the people in front of me were done but they had 3 different transactions and the nail tech was ready to start I didn't want to keep me or her waiting. While I was checking in on the "kiosk" (it took me about 10 seconds to enter my name phone # and birthday) the desk lady got an attitude and was calling me rude and saying I could've waited/ trying to get confirmation from the people she was checking out that I was rude...okay? You'd think she was the owner the way she talks to people (I've seen the other reviews about her.) When I was done and checking out I was trying to use the 10% off coupon for 1st time customers which is on Yelp she didn't know what it was and had to call the owner? And someone else had to complete my transaction bc she didn't want to keep other customers waiting...how ironic. I also won a free hand lotion! Just move the check in process away from her and paying customers and the process would go better. My nails lasted longer than any acrylic I've ever had and the nail tech woman that did my nails was really nice and made sure I got something cute! But it is pretty expensive and the experience was causing me stress so I'm never going back but 4/5 lol read more

I live in Shreveport, but staying in Monroe for a couple months. I thought this place would do top notch work due to the atmosphere and pricing, but it was not at all close to my expectations! The place is very nice, and they offer nice services ; however the work was horrible. I got a dip manicure (the mani was extra-which I had never heard of before) and the pharaoh pedicure ($55 pedi) which was nice. I went less than a week ago and my nails and cuticles look awful, my toenail polish has all come off (also never happens in a few days of service). I paid over $100 for my first and last visit! My dip nails are lumpy and not flat, they look horrible. I will not be returning to this salon, which sucks bc I was hoping to find a new gem to come to over the next few months. read more

Been there twice. 1st time was fine although expensive and kind of rough, the lady burned me twice while shaping my nails. The second time for a fill w gel. Very rushed, rough again and expensive. 38 for a fill plus tip. 45 dollars later and the next day 2 chipped nails. I will not be back. read more

Speedy quality service. Great refreshment options. The pedicure selections are actually worth the extra cost. I definitely recommend the hot stones. All technicians I've gotten so far have been friendly and offered quality nail services. read more

The place was quick and the young man who worked on my young niece did a nice job. Everything else was horrible. The woman cut my toenails unevenly. I had to tell her to go back and actually scrub my feet. That pedicure took all of 15 minutes. And after three days, the polish on both of my big toes is chipped. This place is already overpriced and adds an 11% upcharge for using a credit card. It's really just a guise for price gouging. I was passing through visiting family. I should have believed the reviews. I would never return. read more

Very horrible service I came here to get my toes done, the nail polish came right off after two days and it was gel they refused to fix it

Horrible Horrible service. I don't ever complain. I got to the shop at 5 they close at 7 I did wait about 45 mins. My issues is if you are busy and can't take customers then let them know. No instead you wanna make money and rush on a customer. My pedicure probably took less than 10 mins. After pedicure the guy started to work on my nails and cut my pinky. I then played musical chair going from one tech to another. Then finally the lady who did my nails starts working on my nails and when she filed my nail she cut the side of my finger. I mean I get it everyone is tired but the fact that I'm spending money at this shop and the tech wants to go fast a full set took her less than 20 mins. Not only did she cut my finger she also left glue all over my nails. Like come on this is just unacceptable. I then go to check out and let the lady who checks out know what happened and the tech comes up and says YOU GOT TO PAY!! Like first of all I'm not trying to get nothing for free, but that was just unacceptable you don't speak to a client like that. You also don't take clients if you are going to rush on them. I waited longer than the service that I got. I don't even rate this place a 1 star. read more

I don't recommend this nail shop to any one.I waited 1hr 30 mins, then me and my daughter feet soaked for a while hour before anyone came.I paid for gel nails and 5days later it's already peeling read more

Where do I begin? So the receptionist is one of the rudest clerks I've ever encountered. Secondly, I should not have to wait more than 30 minutes to get my nails done if I scheduled an appointment. Thirdly the lack of communication between the workers myself and the receptionist was extremely hectic. I went in to get a nail repaired and was asked Who initially did my nails as if that was my responsibility to keep up with. I was not sure who did the nails as now I look back on it one person did my nails and one person did my feet. The point is I should not have to keep up with who did those services because when you set an appointment you select the person to do those nails and if anything changes it is their job to notate that. If the person who originally did your nails is the one who follows up and repairs and does refills the next time you come in then this is information that needs to be notated properly. We spent about 15 minutes trying to figure out who did my nails originally. As soon as I walked in the door; could barely set foot in the door, the receptionist asked me do you have an appointment instead of: Hi, or hello welcome to VIP nail bar. The nails don't last long at all they break and crack at the most gentlest movements. This place is a put on of luxury and an experience of high-quality service however what you get is far below what they advertise. And I ask that the manager Megan does not respond to this review with you apologize and how you would fix it in 72 hours. This is just a general response that you get to everyone to cover up for you you all's horrible service. You really don't care you just want to make sure you respond and say something. But save it. I will not be returning. And people will soon catch on and see that you all do not do what you advertise and you simply overcharge and give people less than Expected services. So save the fake apology. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. I should have listened to the reviews. I went under the recommendation of a relative however, she does not get manicure pedicure services often. I DO! My feet are bleeding and I have big sores from the girl Ivy using a grater thing on my feet without using any solution to soften the feet first. I did not make a big deal at the end of the experience because I did not want my family member to be upset. I went back the next day to give the salon owner a chance to make amends. They would not give me my money back. They said they would fix my problem. I told them they can't repair the sores on my feet & the pain. IN ADDITION THE PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS. PLUS THEY WANT ANOTHER 11% ON TOP OF THE SERVICES IF YOU USE A DEBIT CARD. I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COSMETOLOGY. read more

Racist. Tried to deny me and my daughter service . But was able to service another person behind me a white person. Who came in without an appointment as well. read more

When I entered the nail salon no one greeted me and the people at the front desk never acknowledged me. After standing there waiting for some time I guess once they concluded whatever they were discussing they finally said something to me. "Service with no smile by the way" Willing to give them a chance. I took that as maybe a language barrier. However, during the time I was getting my nails done I felt uncomfortable because for one, the guy doing my nails didn't understand what I wanted, he kept pulling on my hand hard for no reason, he kept insisting I get color for my nails when I asked for clear nails. Two I felt like a topic of discussion when they started talking in their language and kept looking at me and laughing. Not only was their customer service poor but the nail tech lack the skills to do nails. I've only had my nails for 4 days and they are breaking. He did a crappy job and the product used seem cheap if my nails are already breaking. Will never go back. read more

My first time going here and I'll never go back. The service provided was not worth the price. The lady left polish on my skin and a guy was rude making fun of my disability. Never again read more

Went there twice. Too pricey for low quality nails. Last time my wife went there the girl doing here nails seemed cocky about here work, within one week my wife's nails were catching everything the polish was coming up and the ends of hair nails were jagged. She properly file down hair nails we drove over an hour to get there and was not worth going back. Ever. read more

Came for a pedicure. They moved so fast we didn't even get a chance to enjoy it and relax. I didn't get the callous scraper as promised on the pedicure I chose. My friend's nails looked awful - no second coat of polish and were done badly. The owner asked how to fix it, but really at that point there was nothing to be done. He offered a 10% discount but $3.60 does not make up for the lack of service. I could have gone anywhere else and gotten more for less. Awful. read more

Second time trying to give this place a shot. First time, they were too busy. I came here because of the great reviews. As soon as we walked in, no one greeted us. When the receptionist finally saw us, she almost seemed annoyed like "what do you want?" Told her we needed pedicures, asked if he had an appointment and we said no. She seemed extra annoyed, then said, well I guess we can take you this time. She went and turned on two chairs and told us to go sit down. We received basic pedicures and asked for gel. Feet didn't look or feel much different other than the $15 gel polish (overpriced in my opinion). Went to pay and they wanted to charge 11% fee to use a card?! Oh but don't worry, they have an ATM there that you can use for a few. Just all seemed very anti customer. They just want your money. I would never go back. Not a VIP experience at all. $51 for a basic pedicure with gel. Way over priced. read more

This is really pretty/new salon that has a fairly decent gel polish collection. However, that is where the compliments END. I went to this salon yesterday and was sorely disappointed with the rushed and careless service. I got a refill with 3 nail repairs and gel polish... the total was $46 which isn't bad... But the nail tech moved too quickly and rushed through the work! She burned my cuticles with the drill, the acrylic is lumpy and bumpy and the polish is sloppy and splotchy! This is just unacceptable! It is clear that these folks care nothing about customers or doing quality work... they want to get you in and out as quickly as possible so that the MONEY is constantly flowing into the salon (more customers = more money). This was certainly no VIP experience. read more

2 of us Went to VIP in Monroe yesterday! 8/7/2019 to get a pedi's, there was nothing special about them, a little scrubbing and hot perfin wax and color that's it ..She charged us over $41.00 a piece for them telling us we got an upscaled Pedi? No way! it also seemed like she was rushing through the whole prosses, plus she was the only one there and she was trying to do 2 of us at a time. I have had hundreds of Pedis and have never paid this much for so little work. I will say the place was clean and the Tech. was pleasant but over $85.00 for the 2 of us was ridicules! I will never go back! and after the wax was removed, she didn't even clean my nails very well, so I'm sure the polish will be chipping of soon as it has already started. So I cannot recommend this place. read more

I went here for my homecoming nails and it was awful! The lady who did mine was very kind but rushed. I understand that people may want their nails done fast, but I'd rather have them done right. My nails were supposed to be matte white coffin shaped acrylics. They're crooked and uneven. The acrylic powder was applied too thick and the gel polish was applied unevenly. They're lumpy and fat on the sides making my fingers look fat :/ I've spent hours today trying to file them down and even it out but its not much better. read more

The only reason they get a star period, is because the receptionist was nice and friendly. "Steven" did my gel pedicure. He had to have been in a race to get finished. He literally spent 15 minutes with me, he painted my cuticles and I know from experience that it WILL peel off in a day or two. He either does not speak English or he refused to communicate that way. Normally I drive three hours away to Little Rock for my nails and toes, but was hopeful about this place, and gave it a try. They took my $45 for the short incompetent pedicure, so I ditched the manicure and left having already been robbed of $45.00. If someone opened a decent place in Monroe, they would make a FORTUNE! read more

Worst service EVER! Could've potentially been a forever customer but most definitely will be going else where. Upon arrival at approximately 6pm I hear the receptionist on the phone being very rude with a customer about extra charges to her card. Was asked if I had an appt. and replied "no I'm a walk in". She stated they don't like to take walk-Ins and asked what I wanted done, I said a full set and pedi. She told me they wouldn't be able to do both because they close at 7. The manager Ryan told her to have me sign in because they indeed could squeeze me in. So I sign in and take a seat. 20 mins later he asks which service I decided on and I replied "you said you could do both"! He then states that they won't be able to do it and he's sorry, I asked why he would let mr sit 20 mins after telling me otherwise only to come back and change it up!! I am extremely disgusted with the lack of customer care at this place and won't be back read more

Chose this place due to my regular salon being closed on Sunday. I normally get gel but they had a large dip selection so I decided to remove my gel and go with dip. Instead of soaking the gel off the guy used a tool to remove all of my gel. He ruined my natural nails and he cut both my thumb and middle finger. He proceeded with the dip steps and I noticed him mess up many times. By the end I looked like I had 1000000 layers of polish on my fingers. My pinky nail looked like a thumb nail. I literally had no clearance between my nail and my finger they were so thick. I found it very odd when a woman came and looked at my nails with a pad and pen and kind of gave him an ok. The cost was $40. I was not prepared. Almost double the cost of what I usually pay. The guy came up behind me as I was paying and showed his friend my nails. This is when I realized this was the first time he had done dip. My nails were so bad I went to another nail place and paid an additional $10 to get them soaked off. My natural nails are ruined and I have two cut cuticles which are now scabs. I had to cut my nails off...DO NOT GO TO VIP NAILS read more

I just left this place an hour ago and I WILL NOT BE BACK! The only reason why I came to this place was because the nail salon I usually go to is closed on sundays. I didn't even get my nails done because the nail technicians kept putting every other person in their chair except for me! People were literally walking in and the nail technicians would automatically see them! I just wanted a basic full set. Nothing fancy at all. When the nail technician asked me what I wanted he looked at my nails, went to the next lady, and saw her instead! I waited a good 40 minutes and just walked out. No one said a thing to me the entire time I was in the salon except for the nail technician who asked me "what do you want done to your nails." No one said anything to me either when I walked out. This place was the worst! I'm sticking to my usually nail spot where my wait time is usually less than 10 minutes and the people are way nicer. Also the girl at the front desk was extremely unprofessional......she was on the phone with her mom the entire time. read more
