He pre-qualified me quickly with 5-6 pieces of the usual identification (W-2, etc.) and a credit check. Both Dan and his staff treated me with courtesy and respect rather then the usual tone of "get this to me yesterday!" aggressive and somewhat disrespectful attitude I have had with previous mortgage companies where you feel like you are being audited by the IRS rather then being treated as a valued customer. In fact at one key juncture early in the loan process he was on vacation in San Diego with his family and yet he was willing to take 30 minutes out of his personal life to answer a question that would not really wait until the next business day. That level of care and dedication to his customers mean he treats you as a fiduciary relationship rather then a fee simple/arm's length which is the same level of care a doctor, lawyer, or pastor would where they put your needs at the same level of their own. My loan is not desirable, I get it, but I deserved to be treated better and with respect. Every time I asked for an update, I was guilted and made to feel bad for asking. I have just been diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder that put me in the hospital for 45 days, I explained that a big part of the need was my medical bills, but they didn't care at all.
