All three of the men who got tuxes for my wedding had one of the items that simply could not be worn due to inappropriate sizing. The groom's pants had a hole in them. There were issues with making a "group" for our order. Such as, not being offered to make a group at the first visit, and then all subsequent visits being talked down to because we didn't make a group. Which we would have loved to do, had we known. I reccomend if a problem like that arises in the future, don't make your customer, who had no idea that a "group" needed to be made, feel bad or let them in on how much of a hassle it is that you have to do a few extra clicks on the computer. When you run into an issue, and all the customer wants to do is make a purchase in your place of business, move along and stop being so whiny. The bad service would have been tolerable, if the orders had been appropriately fitted and not come in later than we were told. When the orders came in late, it made it difficult to try to reorder the pieces that were wrong. Which by the way, staff was also rude to us about. I've heard good things about other formal wear places. The father of the bride had a great experience at a local formal wear shop, he said "the man that helped me was so nice". When your nice, people will love to spend money at your business. The bride and groom however, feel robbed after the experience here.

What started out as a good experience went horribly wrong upon the return of my son's tux. Measuring was fine, despite the manager working with 2 undertrained associates (this is key, later)for a busy store. Pick up was fine. Tux was fine. Prom was a Saturday night. Son returned the tux on Monday ealry afternoon. He was told he owed a $50 late fee because it was "due back Sunday". Well, if that were true, it should've only been a $25 fee. But it wasn't true because the return due date on our receipt IS BLANK. It should've been $0. We technically could've kept the tux, legally, for as long as we wanted. My son, being a non confrontational person paid the man and then contacted me. I told him to go back and ask to see where it said the return due date. Person working said they didn't have that "but was told when to bring it back". Not good enough. I called to try and straighten things out. Terrel tried his best to persuade me the $ was owed but I kept telling him my receipt doesn't have a return due date. I asked if we could agree on that. He said he didn't have it in front of him. His response was so rehearsed as if this has been done before. I offered to send a picture of it. He gave me a number to send it to, which I did (I have attached it here with personal info edited). No response as of yet. If you rent from here GO WITH YOUR KID and MAKE sure they don't try this again.

For instance, I needed a formal black tie suit and a casual jacket outfit for a gala in July. The employee Javi was personable and knowledgeable, helping me put together colors, textures, et. al. And yet, a place of this obvious capability did not have a black shirt in my size. I only wear 17.5 by 34. A black shirt. This was a shirt I promptly and effortlessly purchased at Brooks Brothers later on. But Jos couldn't handle it? A simple black shirt? And then, they had to order a white shirt for me because they didn't have one of those either. A simple white shirt? Seriously? That's embarrassing. I am presently waiting a couple weeks for all alterations (some of which they were late with) and that one shirt to come in. I shop for my friends who live at Fort Bragg and have them schedule their alterations all the way here (it's worth the drive if you want to get it done well the first time). The customer service and tailors are awesome. Alterations have been done in 24-48 hrs! It's such a convenience. I'm very surprised that the store's rating is so low because I'm always treated well. I have brought friends here; they get measured and purchase nothing, and the customer service never changes. I've wore jeans, shorts or running clothing, and I have always been treated the same. I've seen all kinds of customers here (age, gender, outfits, school level, etc.), and they get treated the same. I've read all the reviews about their customer service in Yelp, but I have not experienced any of that. Most of the reviews are of people being disappointed for not being treated like royalty. I don't expect to be served champagne here or at any other store. The customer service will help you if you need and ASK for assistance. Otherwise, why do you want a chaperon to follow you throughout the store? Ask your parents to shop for you in that case. I recommend anyone to shop here with confidence and ask for assistance when you need it (at the very start or throughout your experience). They are people just like you.
