My groomer moved out of state and I had to find a new groomer. I had been going to my old groomer for 20 years. It is really hard to trust anyone with your dogs. I went to vip grooming and Bill was the one to great me at the check in counter. The place was so busy with dogs coming and going. It was so different than my prior groomer. They took about 2 hours to groom my dogs. When I picked them up they were happy and wagging their tails. Bill did a great job with the dogs. We absolutely love our dog groomer! He takes amazing care of all three of our dogs. They're very different sizes--one is 120 pounds, one is 60 pounds, and one is 30 pounds--and they all shed like crazy. He does an incredible job getting their undercoats out so they shed much less at home. Our dogs always come back looking and smelling great, and it's clear he truly cares about them. They get excited to see him, which says everything! On top of that, he's just an all-around wonderful person. Just this morning during the storm, the wind blew our back fence open and our dogs got out while we were away at work. We live directly across the street from the groomer, and he happened to see them from his front window. He immediately hurried across the street and helped get them safely back into our yard. I don't even want to think about what could have happened if he hadn't been there. If you're looking for a trustworthy, experienced dog groomer who truly cares about the dogs he works with, I cannot recommend him enough. We are so grateful for him and the care he gives our dogs. In response to the lovely response from the business, I just want to add that smoothing over the nails or filing it down shouldn't be something to ask for after a $20 trim, it is commonly included by professionals. I am not seeking free service, just acknowledgement of constructive feedback that honestly could have been worse. This is a neutral review regarding nail trimmings. The place we usually go to was closed as it was a Sunday so we came across VIP Dog Grooming which allowed walk-ins. Although we were thankful they were open, we were disappointed that they don't file the nails down upon trimming, nor do they trim any fur around the paws. Maybe services vary depending on where you go but I felt it was very rushed considering we paid double what other places charge for the same service. Perhaps it was a busy day? read more

Billy has been grooming my dog Lady since she was about 8 months old, and she's 6 now, so we've been coming here for years, and I truly can't recommend him enough. Lady used to be very difficult to groom, she would get anxious and would even try to bite. Billy was so patient and consistent with her, and now she doesn't do that at all. He helped her get comfortable enough that she could be groomed anywhere (even though I still choose to go to Billy every time because I trust him completely). They do an amazing job with both of my dogs every single visit, always clean, fresh, and looking great. Joey (Billy's niece) she does a great job and is always wonderful with the dogs. Billy and the entire VIP grooming team is the best! I love how they are super responsive via text or call. Setting up appointments is easy and quick (I usually give at least 5-7 days notice). This place is fast (my corgi, Suki, gets a full bath with nails and a quick trim in 2 hours or less) and for a great price of $45 plus $5 for additional services such as teeth brushing and nail grinding. Suki's tummy hair is always so nicely trimmed and her butt hair is perfectly round. This "trim" comes with her full bath but if you have a dog breed that needs to be groomed (like a poodle)?you would have to pay for a full groom. Suki is usually bad with her nails but VIP gets it done and she isn't a nervous leaving this place compared to her previous groomers. You really can't beat this place in terms of price and how efficient and kind the staff is. I would gladly drive out of the way to take my dog to get groomed here. read more

Found this place through Yelp after wanting to try a new groomer for my boy Sage. At his previous groomers, he hated going and would shake uncontrollably, however that was not the case here. The appointment was made swiftly via Yelp messages, and upon arrival, we were greeted with kindness! Sage was a little nervous, however Ashley made him feel so welcomed. She even picked him up to take him to make him more comfortable. We had a 10am and Sage was ready to be picked up at 11:45. His nails were properly trimmed, ears thoroughly cleaned, smelled so so great, and had the cutest bandana! The experience here was top notch with an unbeatable price! So happy we found this place. We have a senior chocolate lab who suddenly started getting a lot of fleas. We tried all the things at home first (cedar wood spray, flea medicine, spraying the yard...washing the bedding etc.) and we couldn't seem to get rid of these fleas. My husband finally called this place for a grooming and flea bath dip....the guy who owns it (I'm assuming? Or maybe just a worker) was so nice. He got rid of all of the fleas. Poor communication/haphazard grooming. Never called when my dog was ready. Shaved my dog without getting my permission or attempting to contact me. The careless lady CUT my dog's SKIN while shaving so deeply and owner dishonestly claimed he got my okay when he told me that I was aware. Horrible accountability for his actions and the groomer on his staff. Had gone there for years with my three older dogs. And then in August, my rescue's first encounter was spot-on and a dream with Jo. My rescue was washed, cared for, and fluffy soft! (Thank you, Jo-I believe!) But in November- everything changed with the other (older) lady yelling at me after I didn't even recognize my dog? He looked like a different BREED!! You can be the judge. My rescue is traumatized now. When we leave our fur babies with you, please appreciate the responsibility you are taking on. I hope this brings a change to the way they communicate with the clients and stop defending these actions. Take responsibility and make sure your customers-each one- can walk away with a happy pet. (Even if it means admitting your mistake and talking with staff to improve.) I wish this on nobody else, which is the only reason I write this review, in hopes of making positive changes for others. Annnd, as predicted, owner blames the customer. Don't you learn? Look at all your negative reviews. Not once have you taken responsibility. Pointing the finger is a style at your shop. Very Immature Perspective. Listen for once and learn from people who took time to speak to you. You know what they say about pointing the finger? The others point right back to you. You SAW my dog at intake- mentioned NOTHING about a matted face. Just on his back. You even showed me a couple brushes to try when I asked you about this breed!!!!!. NOW you say I didn't BRUSH him in your response???(that says NOTHING ABOUT cutting my dog's skin...)? I predicted the circle of blame. Good thing is many people seem to like your shop, so you're all set. Should I post the video I have where you can hear your groomer yelling trying to control a big dog? You'd probably blame the dog. Again, a five star experience. This is with a different dog. My little Chicken girl was groomed here in September after I first got her. I didn't really know much about how her behavior would be but was told she did well. She looked beautiful afterwards and smelled lovely. I took her there again today and I had the same experience. I found them through yelp and from all the places I contacted, they contacted me the quickest, was able to give me a quote, and scheduled me asap! I called day of to see if I can do a walk in grooming for my pug. The man on the phone was super friendly and told me I can come in whenever before 2 pm. I dropped my dog off after our morning walk and she was already a little smelly and her nails were getting long. My dog does not like getting her nails clipped or her hair blow dried. So I was shocked to pick her up fully dried and her nails clipped! Most groomers I have taken her to have trouble and I'd have to do some filing at home. But her nails were clipped at a good length and she smelled very good! They called and texted me when she was done and the prices were very reasonable. Came here on a recommendation but tbh we wouldn't come back. First appearances when you walk in the shop is super small, and the front behind the counter looked like that's where they groom the dogs but was super messy. We dropped off our husky and when we picked her up, she came back to us with a cut on her mouth which was bleeding. We asked what happened and the staff had no clue. Took her home and while they washed and brushed her, there was still a lot of matted hair that needed to be brushed out. Also, we looked closer at the undercoat and noticed there were patches of dirt or soap material not washed out causing some scabbing or scaling. All in all we would NOT come back. read more
