We actually started keeping a log on all the flavors we've tried, because we want to avoid repeats if we can. And just when I think Kelly might be slipping, they bust out fighting again with new flavors that just blow my mind. This particular location is my homebase. It's in the perfect location. I could walk there if I wanted to. Ambiance is nice and clean, with a bunch of tables and a little area outside for the kids to play, and maybe even see one of Oviedo's last remaining chickens/roosters. Service is always good. Everyone gets samples, and everyone gets huge scoops. The price has gotten up there in the past couple of years, but I feel like the scoop size also has to compensate for it. As for the ice cream itself, it's always top notch. Their flavors aren't just vanilla or chocolate ice cream with stuff stuffed in it. Their ice cream bases are often unique, too, like spice mocha coffee ice cream, peanut butter ice cream, blueberry ice cream, etc. And then you add in the mix-ins, the swirles, there's sometimes extra crumbles sprinkled on top. The Bourbon Ball flavor that they just released is one of their best flavors of all time. Kelly's is one of Orlando's OGs, and they do a good job continuing to reinvent themselves.

I wanted to order the brownie Sunday but they were out of brownies...so I guess I'll have to come back. There is lots of outdoor seating and music. It's a fun environment, especially in the late evening when it cools off. Unfortunately, the split looked so good that we eagerly dug into it before taking adequate photo documentation so sorry that the photos aren't that appealing, I promise it looked amazing before we dug in. This is a walk-up stand and it was a rainy night, so it was just me there, but I could see that the place would normally have a pleasant enough ambiance and vibe. Despite the parking, I could not see much to fault this particular Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream. If you are unfamiliar with Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream, it is my favorite place for ice cream in Orlando. They have monthly special flavors, as well asa host of standard regular flavors. I would definitely recommend this particular location of Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream.

Twistee Treat is one of my favorite stops for just good, homemade tasting soft serve. They have a huge menu for every tastebud. From milkshakes and Malts to slushies and sundaes. Something for everyone and way cheaper than Cold Stone and other trendy creameries.

I chose the Ube Cheesecake with Ube Syrup and Toasted Coconut. My husband had the 3 C's - Coffee, Chocolate, & Caramel. I also bought an Ube Brownie and the flavors were spot on! Since it's next to the Orlando Raquet Center, their restroom is in that building which is connected by a door. Also Saiko, a matcha spot is located inside the Orlando Racquet Center. My husband decided to go with the strawberry matcha ice cream in a vanilla chia cone. I got a split scoop of the butterfly pea milk tea ice cream and the mera mera mango flame which is a swirl of mango tajin ice cream with passionfruit sorbet. The butterfly pea had a light and delicious almond flavor with I loved -- So refreshing on a hot day! I had mine served in their iconic black ash cone which was the perfect pairing. Our server, Cole, was amazing with the staff and residents who absolutely LOVED Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream. So many of the folks had never had Kelly's Ice Cream and were blown away with the taste, creaminess and quality. Multiple staff came up to tell me that it was the best ice cream that they had ever had!! The mango/passion fruit sorbet was a big hit, in addition to the chocolate, mint chocolate chip and the salted caramel cookies & cream. You definitely have a lot of new fans! They also have soft serve here too and there was a mango flavor. I can imagine dipping that into the dark chocolate would be really good! The sauce is like the magic shell where it hardens quickly once it covers the ice cream. I wonder if they will have banana soon because that would be good when you don't want the sweet stuff. My princess has a two scoop cup of cookies and cream with extra Oreos on top and I tried a dipped cheesecake ( yes you read that right! ) 10/10! They have Cheesecake Factory cheesecake that can be dipped and topped or paired with ice cream. It's like a match made in heaven !! Since it was grand opening we left with a few discount cards, free samples of milkshakes and a loyalty card. Staff was very nice and the ambiance is super cute. We will make it a part of our tradition after our nail appointment moving forward.
