I am just passing though NJ, but after some Google search I found this salon. It was close to me and the cost seemed reasonable on their website (135+ for bayalage). Which is totally normal for my hair, it's usually 250 after tip. My salon experience cost me 414 after tip, which is mind blowing-I was so flawed over the price my hair color didn't hit until the next morning. I shouldn't have offered to pay before the service was over, I was just being kind so the owner didn't have to come back and close up after us. I never got a recept or a breakdown of what I was charged for. I have a feeling I was charged for additional services I didn't ask for, nor should have been warranted for a bayalage. I had Yngrid as my stylist and I LOVE how she cut and thinned my hair, but she missed the mark on the color after showing her pictures and telling her how I wanted it. Ultimately my hair was just highlighted an ugly gray color, it was "glazed," which I've never had done, and a root treatment...the point of a bayalage is that it doesn't start at the root, which I had stated in the chair...I wanted it to start a few inches from my root. Therefore a root treatment should have never been needed to "blend" the color. While I was also getting my hair done a client came in because she was not happy of the color of her hair. If I had time I would have gone back to have them tone it but I'm on the go and work late. I took time out of work to have my hair done (it was very over due). Overall this salon over charges for services, and it seems like the artists just do their own thing. If you can't simulate the style in the photos don't do the hair!

They show you before each cut to make sure the length they are taking off is correct and they will not get "scissor happy". On a previous visit, I brought my younger sister in for highlights. The service itself was fine, but at the end, the stylist loudly said, "Thank GOD, that's over with!" while we were still nearby. It made what should have been a fun, memorable experience feel uncomfortable and awkward. I understand that not every appointment goes perfectly, and I initially brushed off the first experience. However, after the haircut issue, I feel there are some consistency and professionalism concerns. Small things like checking the final result with a mirror, offering minor adjustments, and being mindful of comments within earshot of clients would go a long way. The salon always has a positive and upbeat atmosphere, and the staff is incredibly attentive. I always get my hair dyed, cut, and colored. Sometimes I opt for a straight look, while other times I go for curls. My go-to hairstylist is Sobeida, and I trust the shampoo and conditioner they use, which get with Estefania. They're both fantastic! This salon is bilingual, and the prices are very reasonable. I've seen so many people come and go with different hairstyles, so it's great that they offer so many options. My daughter has gotten braids there, curls, and cornrows. My son has also gotten his hair styled there. It's a great place for all kinds of hair needs! I recommend them.
