I would rather cheat on my man than ever attempt to cheat on my stylist again. I decided to try a new salon that was close to my house and get a balayage. What was done to my hair there was a crime. They should have given me the paper bag to hide the orange hair they had given me. Thank god Lori got me in for a quick appointment so I can go back out in society. I went to LB beauty to have my hair and make up done for my baby shower. I was seated in the chair right on time and had such a nice experience with Lucy, as she was so sweet and personable. My hair is naturally very straight and doesn't hold a curl well. The way she pinned it made it turn out perfect, with just the right amount of waves. It was the best look I've ever had! My make up came out awesome as well and I received so many compliments at my shower. Even the following day people were saying how nice my hair and make up looked and everybody wanted to know where I got it done. From the moment I enter I knew I made the right decision. There was careful attention to following the Covid guidelines and the salon was immaculate and followed social distancing. The staff was friendly and my stylist was Nadia. She was exceptional in that she helped me select my color, explained the Aveda product line, cut my hair according to my request, and finger curled it into a smooth, volumous style. This is a nice salon that looks like a great place for a haircut, but I don't think it's the best place for a mani/pedi. I walked in at 5 and left at 7. Two hours for a mani/pedi seems excessive. Also, they don't have regular pedi chairs. Instead, they have somewhat cool looking leather armchairs with what can only be described as a fancy bucket that comes out of a drawer under the chair. The problem is it doesn't have a locking mechanism, so if you're short, like me, you basically have to physically hold your legs in a bent position for the manicurist to work on your feet. Think that Pilates move where you hold your legs in the air, but for like an hour. I also paid $40 for a mani/pedi which is on the higher end. They should not be listed as $$ Not a bad place, just not quite what I was looking for. read more

I was offered something to drink and then began with a scalp massage (nice surprise). From start to finish everything was professional and on point. She chose LB Beauty Salon and it was not only a great choice on her part, but a super pleasant and lovely experience! Everybody who works here is super sweet and they have a great selection of little snacks and nice tea for you as you wait and watch your sister get her trial up-do and makeup. And far as my experience, we went in here for a facial and blow out a week before the wedding, both of which were fun and reasonably priced. Then, day of the wedding, with a bride, several bridesmaids and mothers taking over the salon, everything went smoothly and exactly on time. Amanda did my hair both times and she was wonderful, I felt listened to and was very happy with my up-do. I showed her some photos and she ran with it - we came up with something that both accommodated my hair style (re: difficult) and my personal style. Beata did my makeup and the facial and she was equally lovely. She was great at listening and did a great job on my day-of makeup - I wanted a natural look and Beata made me look like myself but better! It looks good I told her it looks good because it does. but, I will not tolerate being squeezed in between 3 other clients when I made an appointment 2.5 months ago. For the money, I paid I better get undivided attention and I don't care if there are 20 minute windows where she sits and waits for me to be finished processing. Period! because the alternative is I wait for her to finish those other clients. and my appointment lasted 40 minutes longer than it should have while she completed 3 other ppl. likewise, for the prices I pay I do not tolerate having other ppl working on my hair while she waits on other clients. this isn't Amy's issue it's how you overbook your salon to get more money. Well, if you can't promise undivided attention for 250 bucks I will find someone who can. I'll like 50 of my money back when can I pick it up. horrible read more

I've gone to Lori twice and she did an awesome job with my hilights. I asked for a beachy blonde look and she gave me exactly what I asked for. Can't comment on hair cut since she's only done my color. The ONLY negative is I find I spend about an extra hour here compare to other salons I've gone to. It takes about 3 hours just for color, no cut, No blowout. The girl that washed my hair and combed either a mask or toner through my hair caused me SO much pain and was horribly uncomfortable. She was super nice so I didn't say anything. But I feel like if you're doing hair daily you should know ripping a comb through someone's tangled wet hair isn't a good idea. I used LB Salon for my wedding hair and makeup (as well as for my bridal party) and I am so happy I found them! My wedding venue was in north Jersey so i wanted to get hair and makeup done somewhere near by. I found LB on Yelp and decided to give them a go. I had an easy time booking my hair and makeup trial and also the day of for myself, my mother and MIL, and 3 bridemaids. Any lady getting married knows how the B word (bridal) means 'huge extra charge' but not here at LB, the prices are very reasonable which was refreshing to see. Pretty much all the services here are super reasonably priced. The salon itself is new and super clean and I loved the Aveda products. Amy did my up-do and Beata did my makeup and both gave me exactly what I asked for. My hair and makeup stayed looking perfect from noon until after midnight despite dancing. I cannot believe how good we all looked in my wedding photos. Everyone is so nice and helpful here, and got us in and out right on time. I've been coming to Amy for the past three years for a cut + blow dry. I love my long hair and I appreciate that she always gives me a fabulous cut while allowing me to keep my lengths. Since COVID hit NJ, I've been the cautious type + have refrained from visiting indoor establishments however LB Beauty sent their clients a great email explaining all the precautions they were taking to ensure their client's and staff's safety. After seeing their work on their instagram and seeing their amazing reviews, I was super excited to get my hair done here. I came in with a few pictures referencing what I wanted and we agreed on balayage. I was already scared because of a bad salon experience I had years ago where I paid hundreds of dollars for something I didn't even want, something I made sure to tell my stylist. I was really excited to see how my hair turned out and I was very disappointed to see that it was nothing like the reference pictures I had shown. I didn't expect my hair to look identical to the pictures because of how much different my hair texture is and how much hair I have but I didn't even see the balayage, it looked more like I just got highlights and that's what all of my friends thought too. The color was also much lighter than what I wanted. The staff was very nice so I felt bad about saying anything, however, I did feel very uncomfortable with all the comments they were constantly making about the amount of my hair. I ended up liking the results I got but at the same time, I'm very disappointed that I had to pay so much for a balayage job that just looked like I got highlights, something I could have gotten at any other salon for much cheaper. read more

Hello, Lori, this is Irina, yesterday I was at your salon and did highlights and haircuts. I had problems after your salon, I didn't sleep all night, as my head was scratching all night. What could it be? Either it's your non-disinfected hair combs, which you use to comb each client's hair, or a reaction to coloring my head. I was very hot (burning) on my scalp ( possibly a burn from hair color) as I sat over the sink waiting for the top layers of foil to be removed from my head. It was really hot(burning), and I didn't know how to say it. In addition, I am very disappointed with your work. It has never been so bad before and I would never have thought that you, as the main craftswoman and owner of the salon, would be able to do it. I'm like a white crow with this hair coloring - very white on top, and everything is dark on the edges and bottom. The haircut is also very bad. You cut my hair into chunks and it pulled in the volume at all, it's already straight and thin. I only asked for a little, not deep layers. Now it won't even be possible to fix it, because it's too short. Now only time will help. In addition, I want to say that in no beauty salon have my hair been torn out alive to the point of pain, as in yours. You beat me to the point of pain when you removed the foil from my head and your assistant when she combed my wet hair with a comb in the sink. Just awful. I already have problems with hair loss, and yesterday you were so aggressive with it. I am very dissatisfied with yesterday's visit to you and therefore I would like to get my money back. Ruined hair and mood before the new year. Thank you for that. I ask you to return my money back or I will have to come to your salon. continuation of my review: I came to the salon again today to resolve the conflict. However, instead of an apologies from Lori and a refund for a poorly done job (at least for a haircut, since she "cut" my hair only for 2 minutes and it does not cost 70 $ as she took from me) she was rude to me. It is strange that for a short haircut they charge 30$, where it really requires effort and quite a lot of time. Above my head, she made only 3 hand movements and took 70 $. You must have a conscience, Lori. For that kind of money, you were supposed to cut my hair professionally and well, not ruined my hair. But this person is not able to resolve conflicts with clients in a normal way ( and I am sure that this is not the first case), she can only be rude to people . I just asked her to give me the money back at least for a bad haircut, but I received only threats about calling the police, rudeness and calling me a bitch. Although the real bitch is she. This "person" is completely unscrupulous and arrogant. Don't pay attention to the advertising of her salon on the Internet, reality may disappoint you, just as she disappointed me. I feel bad giving one star because the owner of the salon is nice but the staff may not be the best. While visiting NJ, I needed to get my hair done and I obviously trust Yelp to guide me on where to go. Since, this place has 5 starts I immediately call to make an appointment. The price for a blow out is listed as 26plus and since I have hair a few inches past shoulder length, I was expecting may be 10 dollars etc. but as I sat in the chair to get my hair done I found out it was going to be almost 50 since I am asking for a few curls and flips as part of the blow dry!!!! My stylist was quite rude and ruined my experience altogether. I walked out unhappy and hair not as expected. I would recommend to give it a try by making an appointment with the owner probably as she seemed nice and offered to fix my hair at no additional cost. read more

She did an amazing job and did not have me sitting for hours on end to complete the process. She was very attentive to my hair and the results were exactly what I wanted! Came here for a blow out. Salon was very clean and staff was very friendly. Was not impressed with my blow out by any means. My hair honestly looked like I had straightened it with a straightener.
