Google asked me to give a review and I will give one. I went to Tina 2 days ago basically giving her a BLANK CANVAS because my hair was blonde and I wanted chocolate brown hair because I'm planning. I trusted her with my hair which I payed so much to go blonde and if a hair is blonde and is supposedly damaged and doesn't grab color .... it should stay blonde RIGHT ?? Anyways, I went in I brought in my extensions and I had a vision, ( my plan was to go chocolate brown and NOT DARK AT ALL because I know I will change my color again once summer comes) Tina showed me the colors and we picked my color together which matched my extensions perfectly as well, when she blowed dry my hair and I saw the end results I was like wtf is this !!! This is not the color at all we went outside and my hair looked black with white highlights she told me " maybe is cause ur hair is damaged it didn't take the color " really Tina ?!!! If my hair was damaged it would've stayed blonde and not whatever YOU GAVE ME !!! My hair is so dark is not even close to the chocolate brown I wanted I cried for two days straight cause now I can't go lighter at all cause my hair is basically black even in the sun it looks black. She told me at the end that it will wash out ...... this hair won't wash out at all cause is so dark !!! I have dark hair now and basically spend so much money going blonde for NOTHING !!! for someone to give me the darkest color I never wanted and the fact that we picked the color together ?? This wasn't even the color WE picked !!! My extensions don't match at all !!! They knew I was upset when I left because I basically ran out of the place, I am not the type of person that will yell at someone in front of her customers but there's no fixing this. She even told me to stay in touch with her about my hair ( but I don't even want to see this place again ) i rather learn myself how to do hair than go to any salon ever again. And this is not the first time this hair situation happen, I never wanted to give this bad review because in yelp I gave her the 5 star review when I first started coming here but after this ? I needed to tell my story because this is unacceptable and this is the second time my hair has been messed up here. read more

I love this place! Tina is amazing at what she does, every time I leave here I get soooooo many compliments on my hair. The color looks so good, People actually think it's my natural hair color and are shocked when I tell them it's highlighted. I should mention that I moved to Texas a few years ago, but still refuse to get my hair done by anyone else. Found this salon several years ago on Yelp. The reviews were great so I went. I've been a loyal customer ever since! Tina and Jairo are both excellent. I've been getting most of my cuts from Jairo and am very pleased. They take their time and make sure the cut is just right -- and still it's less than an hour for a shampoo/cut/dry. My hair is medium length, wavy/straight and their cuts are nice and last! Highly recommend. read more

I heard about Tina at Salon Lilly by word of mouth and I am so glad. Tina is the owner and she is AMAZING!!! She listened to everything that I said, and did exactly what I wanted!!!!!! I went into her salon with an old dull ombre that really needed something, plus my gray roots were coming in. Tina did a single process (medium brown) and added baby blonde highlights on top then did balayage (hand painted) blonde on the bottom. OMG it came out absolutely beautiful!! I have long hair but needed a trim to get rid of the dead ends. She did not get scissor happy like many hairdressers can get, and just trimmed a very small amount off. She is by far the best hairdresser/colorist I have ever been too. Tina is also very sweet and easy to talk to and her salon is also very clean and pretty. Tina took pics of my hair (when she was finished) straight then curled with a gorgeous wave to it. I believe she posts pics of her clients on Facebook so if you go onto Facebook I'm sure you can see many of her clients pics including mine. Please, if you are looking to have your hair cut, colored, or both you must try Tina!!!! I promise you that you will never go to anyone else after having your hair done by her!! Tina was my stylist in New York where I work, and I am so happy she finally opened her own salon in New Jersey where I live. The salon is very pretty, new and clean, the staff is very Professional. I love the ambiance- relaxing and fun! What I also like is that the prices are lower from what I used to pay in New York City at her salon there, so I'm getting NYC style on a NJ price! What's also cool is that there is a cosmetologist in a separate very cute room and they were running a special for microdermabrasion so I did it and my skin feels absolutely amazing. I absolutely loved my experience here. They were able to squeeze me in on the same day I called and I don't think I have ever loved my hair more. My highlights are so natural and exactly what I asked for. Tina was lovely- so easy to talk to and really knows what she is doing. After the highlights she fixed some major problems from a previous cut and we set a plan for how to grow my hair out. This review is LONG overdue, as I got my hair done with Tina about 6 weeks ago. I had virgin hair and had been wanting to color my hair for the longest time but was nervous since I had only ever cut/trimmed it in the past. I found the salon on Yelp and was in NJ for work and figured if I made an appointment, I would have no choice but to follow through on finally sprucing up my look. Tina is amazing! I told her I was a bit nervous and a newbie to getting my hair done and she made me feel so comfortable. I showed her a picture of the balayage I wanted and she able to produce the color SPOT ON. She was also very patient and warm, and I could tell that she really loves what she does and ensures the work she does is done to her customers' satisfaction. Overall, I had such a wonderful experience. I've received so many compliments on my hair and couldn't be any happier with the results. I live in LA now and was in NJ for work, but I only trust Tina with my hair so I will definitely be visiting her again when I need a touch up or something new! read more
