Borod Spa had been sitting on my lap every single time I go to my fave eatery in White Plains- until I had to face the music and make that appointment back in the Fall of '21. Borod S. looks like it used to be a home some time ago and now has two businesses in one location with a Beauty/Nail Salon on main floor and Borod on 2nd and 3rd floors. The Spa's waiting room is set in light olives, creams and some light wood touches here and there. The lights are dim- but not too dim. There's a window facing Central Avenue giving nice burst of sun. The music is soothing. Borod S. has the slightest hint (very slight) of lavender in the air. The joy of joys, I'm at the spa. Some spa rooms have white walls and can get boring, fast- but not at Borod. The few rooms are classic and clean with a minimalist and refreshing feel. Borod's owner Diana has been doing my facial treatments with ultra care and the sofffffftest hands when I come here. You can book online or call to reserve- though I highly don't think you'll be seen as a walk-in in the spur of the moment- so definitely go with the first two options. Prices for some items are reasonable, they may seem slightly up there- but it's the extra little touches that she uses at the end of your session- like applying some sunscreen or other lotions before heading out the door.

I'm so extremely disappointed with this place. It's taken me a year to make this review because I…read morereally wanted to give this place a chance and I'm so upset with everything. Last February I had gotten Botox and lip filler for the first time ever. It was recommended by a friend so I figured I'd give it a go. When I went in for my Botox it was given to me so quick without much information. About a week later my eyebrows were completely lopsided to the point you could visible tell. I went back to ask them if there was anything they could do about it and he told me to give it another week or two. So i did and it was still the same if not worse! When I went back I tried to explain it to him and I felt like he thought I was crazy. Even though you could tell just by looking at my that my one eyebrow was MUCH higher then the other. I'm a shy person when it comes to these things but again I tried to explain and he didn't really care what I had to say. Shot me up with more Botox and sent me on my way. Another week went by and my eyebrows were so bad that people were staring at me. I called the office to explain and the doctor wouldn't even come on the phone. He told the front desk to tell me to "wait it out again". I had to stay like that for 3 months ( how embarrassing ) until the botox wore off. When I got my lip filler they didn't even numb me. They sat me in the chair and did it so fast ( it was painful and uncomfortable ) and when he inserted the needle it went right through my lips not even on the top or bottom lines. I was left with massive bumps and he told me to go home and massage them. Again I waited two weeks and the bumps were getting bigger and bigger. When I asked why that was happening he had the nerve to laugh and tell me I was impatient and that I needed to wait. I was so upset with how unprofessional this was. I waited an entire month to two months before going back and showing him how bad the filler was placed and how big the bumps were and he AGAIN told me to wait. It's been over a year now and the bumps are so bad that it's been a nightmare for me to even smile in pictures. I went to a new place and they told me they have never see such bad placement of filler before. Now spending ridiculous amounts of money to dissolve them ( almost three times now ) and get them refilled. Safe to say my first experience with cosmetic procedures was an awful one thanks to this place

Zonny is an angel/superhero/magician. I don't know what she does, but she's the best at it. I came…read moreto Zonny twice for facials leading up to my wedding. I don't live in the area, otherwise I would have scheduled even more, but my wedding was in the area so I was hoping to find someone who I could trust for a facial during the week of my wedding. Zonny truly works magic. I had my period the week before my wedding, so my skin wasn't looking its best, and Zonny typically works with brides for at least 6 months, so I was already at a bit of a disadvantage, but my skin looked so bright and clear on my wedding, and I truly have her to thank for that. I have acne prone combination skin, and Zonny really took her time with extractions during both facials. She also has amazing product recommendations and will recommend different treatments based on your needs. They were hands down the best facials I've ever had, and I'd recommend her to any bride looking for a pre-wedding regimen, or anyone trying to look their best!

Sat there until 10:30 when I finally had the nerve to knock. Owner comes out and says I will have to wait while she finishes up with another client. Owner/esthetician then tells me how Groupon isn't worth her time, and she was "doing me a favor" by squeezing me in, and that the microdermabrasion and facial that I paid for would only be for 30 minutes. Why sell your services to Groupon and then treat your Groupon customers like second class citizens!? If the service was good, she would have earned a repeat customer. No need to take off your shirt, she says. What!? She had no intention of even touching my neck or shoulders, as is done in standard facials! Said it would be super fast and shirt won't get wet. Esthetician kept encouraging me to leave and get my money back from Groupon! Then refused the service. I have had many facials and massages in my lifetime, but I have never dealt with someone more rude and unprofessional in this line of work, ever! No regard for my time spent driving there and waiting---for nothing. Do yourself a favor-don't waste your time and money with this unprofessional, uncaring place!!
