Dr Chuback is an incredibly professional, thoughtful and talented doctor who has helped me immensely. As someone who was born with primary lymphedema, I have battled swelling in my legs for my entire life. Dr Chuback discovered that I also had venous insufficiency and he performed a series of procedures to treat my veins (laser ablation & sclerotherapy). Since undergoing the vein treatments, the swelling in my legs is greatly diminished and my lymphedema has become much more manageable. Before my vein procedures, I was quite apprehensive. Dr Chuback took his time and thoroughly explained everything to me. He was reassuring and answered all of my questions; he gave me a great sense of confidence in undergoing treatments. I got a Groupon for laser hair removal...I should have realized it was a mistake from the first visit. First, they called me a day or two before the appointment letting me know that they'd have to reschedule because the doctor wouldn't be coming in. They told me to come in the next week instead, fine. I come in 20 minutes early and they're not even close to ready to see me...there's several people ahead of me who had already been waiting for their appointments. Alright, I fill out the paperwork. And wait another 30 minutes before they can see me. It takes them about 45 minutes to do the lower half of my legs, and the machine they have in the office is old and gives off the most horrific burning-hair smell. It's a little painful but not more than I was expecting. Once they're done, their receptionist sets me up for my next appointment. They're so overbooked that they don't have another availability for another month and a half, even though these appointments are supposed to be a month apart. But okay, I schedule the appointment. And again, shortly before I'm scheduled to come in, they tell me they have to reschedule my appointment. I was pretty upset because two times in a row seems like a pretty bad sign, but there was nothing they were going to do. So I reschedule and come in for the new appointment. Again, I have to wait...this time over an hour after my appointment was scheduled. Now, hair removal is generally six appointments, and the rest were no better. Even when I was scheduled for the first appointment, I would still have to wait at least half an hour. Once, they said it was because they had to do an "emergency" procedure. Um, what? You guys do veins, lipo, and laser hair removal. Still, better to do it earlier than later because they overbook like crazy and if you have an appointment at 4:30, you won't be seen for another two hours and no, that's not an exaggeration. Anyway, by the end of it, I barely had any change in hair growth. It's still VERY noticeable, though maybe a little lighter and slightly more sparse. Completely not worth it. I did my next laser hair removal at Beau Monte Salon in Englewood and they're fantastic. read more

I would like to comment on what an amazing experience I had and continue to have with Dr. Chuback and his staff. I had very bad viracose veins in both my legs. The pain was one issue the looks was another. The team lead by Dr. Chuback put me at ease and walked me thru the process that I would take to address these veins. The office staff lead by Alicia and Kristen scheduled the numerous visits I would require around my busy schedule. The actual procedures that Dr. Chubeck and Danielle proformed went so easy they were over before I knew it. They have an amazing bedside manor. Dr. Chuback is one of the most knowledgeable and professional surgeons that I know. I don't know if t those of you who gave him a 1 star rating are aware of the anatomy of leg veins. You should leave it to the professional to choose what vein to inject. I have had many large and small varicose veins treated by Dr. Chuback and my legs look beautiful. i KNOW how to follow post-op instructions. BTW, I am an RN, and certainly know a good doctor from a bad one. If I ever had any issues (which I didn't) Dr. Chuback would rectify them immediately. No questions asked. Did you call the office? His staff is wonderful. I have used every service they offer except weight loss. I am going to see Dr. Bastidas as well, whom I have met and is wonderful and caring. Went here for varicose veins and I pointed out the ones that I want treated. they took it upon them selves to also treat veins that were barely visible and made them highly visible and the ones I wanted treated are still visible. When I questioned why they treated veins that were barely visible and have now made them extremely visible, response was, they will become a problem in the future. How this makes sense I don't know but my legs look worse now then when I started. When I had pockets of blood clots that I pointed out, I was told its ok, hopefully it'll eventually go away. When I explained that from my reading about the procedure they should have been popped and blood taken out, they said, ok, we'll do it. SAD that I have to explain what needs to be done. Coming here was a mistake. Everything they did was different then all my readings on what should be done. read more

It is not often I feel compelled to write a review, however, my experience with the Chuback Medical Group was so outstanding...I need to share my feedback. Having been a caregiver for my parents, I experienced many different performance levels of health care professionals, from mediocre to excellent. I eventually created a personal criteria list to objectively evaluate the performance of a medical professional, to ensure I receive the best care possible. This list includes indicators such as: 1.) Is the doctor board certified, and did he/she pass standard exams given by the governing board in their specialty? Did he/she go to a reputable medical school? What did they do post med school? Is the doctor involved in any academic pursuits, such as teaching, writing, or research? Are they up-to-date in the latest developments in the field? Where does the doctor have hospital privileges- reputable hospitals? Dr. Chuback and his team have outstanding credentials and are current on all the procedures, actually in the forefront. He is affiliated with the best Hospitals in our area. 2.) Does the doctor accept my health insurance - what expenses will I have to incur outside of my plan. Will I know that upfront? Dr. Chuback benefits staff did all the leg work with my insurance company prior to my procedure(s) and explained in detail my financial responsibilities. No surprises, which is exactly what I wanted to be assured of. 3.) Is the doctor's staff friendly and reassuring? Do they make me feel valued and give me the feeling I am an individual? Dr. Chuback's staff is a reflection of his personality and professionalism. Everyone on his staff was responsive to my questions and acknowledged me a person, with my own unique set of needs. They made me feel like I was a person of value. 4.) What are the doctor's office hours? Are these hours convenient? Dr. Chuback's staff continuously adjusted their schedules to accommodate my work schedule. I never had a problem scheduling appointments. 5.) During the initial visit, does the doctor conduct a thorough review of your medical history, including medications, past surgery, lifestyle habits, and family history? Dr. Chuback spent so much time gathering information; I felt he had a thorough understanding of my medical history. He addressed my medical history as he outlined my course of medical treatment. It was an all-inclusive approach that relieved any of my concerns. 6.) How much time does the doctor spend on follow-up visits? The doctor spent a considerable amount of time during my follow-up visits, reviewing my progress and discussing my outcomes - which went exactly according to plan. 7.) Is the Doctor responsive to phone calls or questions outside of the office environment? Following one my procedures, I called Dr. Chuback's office to ask a question. Dr. Chuback personally called me back and addressed my concern. He actually referred me to a colleague and made arrangements for me to meet with this professional on a Saturday. He followed up twice with me, after I met with his associate, never rushing me off the phone, and showed sincere interest in my progress. Dr. Chuback is by far the best doctor to take care of any varicosity. I saw him when I was 22 years old because for several years, I had noticed a large varicose vein running from the upper part of my inner thigh all the way down to my ankle. It was bulging out and I was very self-conscious about it. Despite its awful look, I was always afraid of cutting the vein whether by shaving or just hitting it against something. Since I was considered a 'younger' patient, my parents weren't sure if insurance would cover it, as they might label it a cosmetic surgery. When I went to see Dr. Chuback for the first time, he took an ultrasound of both legs, not just the one that looked bad. From the ultrasound, he saw that both of my legs had very bad blockages in them which required multiple surgeries. He explained everything about how the veins function, why it could be damaged, and what the surgery would consist of. Once insurance kicked in, I had my surgeries scheduled. I was very nervous, but Dr. Chuback's incredible sense of humor and great personality made it even less painless than it already was. I was so distracted by laughing at his jokes that I forgot he was performing the surgery on my legs. Not only was the surgery a same-day procedure, but I was up walking around the next day going about my usual day. I have never felt more comfortable at a doctor's office, let alone while being operated on. He truly is incredible at what he does and at putting his patients at ease. His staff consists of the most wonderful and friendliest group of people I have ever met, and they always try to accommodate your needs. I am now 25 and continue to go back for my check-ups, where they make sure no new varicosities have developed. I am happy and thankful to say I have not had a surgery since. My legs feel lighter, less tired, and pain-free, and my 'before' and 'after' photos are astonishing. I have never been more excited to go to a doctor's appointment in my entire life, as everyone there is just amazing. I am very thankful for what Dr. Chuback has done for not only me, but for my parents as well, as they both HAD severe varicosities in their legs, too (its genetic!).
