Had been wanting to try Vinzo's for awhile and decided to try it for our anniversary I started with the shrimp & lobster bisque which was good but not the best i've had. It was really thin for me, (almost like a consommé) but the flavor was really good. The garlic knots that came with the soup were absolutely delicious & my husband agreed they were one of the best we've had. I decided on the deluxe calzone and was blown away on how great it was. It was 100% better than what used to be my top rated calzone in California. Super crispy, full of fresh ingredients, and perfect amount of cheese! My husband has a pepperoni pizza which I tried and it was reminiscent of pizza i've had in New York. Ended the meal with a cannoli which was super fresh, rich, creamy, and a perfect ending to our meal. We will definitely go back!!!! read more

We had some shopping to do in the area today & this place was recommended to us so we stopped in for lunch. The place is cozy and we were the first ones there. The waitress was friendly. We both ordered off the lunch menu. We ordered the lasagna, spaghetti & meatballs, garlic knots, Caesar salads and my hubs and a piece of cheesecake for dessert. Even off the lunch menu, the portions are huge! We couldn't finish it. The food was delicious. By the time we left, business had definitely picked up. This place was great. This place may look small and simple from the outside, but when you go in and eat their food it is a big world of ~flavor~ their bruschetta was so soft and the bread was so incredible! Seriously it was the best bruschetta I've ever had in my life! they have a dish called the salmon Valentino, and let me tell you that was one of the best dishes I've ever had in my life! Awesome service- Awesome food- Never had food from here as we were here from out of town working on getting a house ready to sell. ( my friends father recently became unable to talk care of himself anymore.) so to make a long story short. At 9:25 on Friday night - exhausted - we called & ordered $100-worth of food to be delivered. I can't hardly believe the response we got. Even though they had a 9:30 cut off time, Christine helped us with our order, with a smile. The food was delivered within 30 minutes from the driver, unfortunately I can't remember his name, also with a smile. I don't understand. This is NOT A FOUR star experience. The Caesar salad came with floppy unflavored dressing on the side. The chicken Calabrese was a flavorless glob of spaghetti with sauce and chicken. The pizza was ok but no better than Pizza Hut. The garlic knots were the best part. Truly a waste of driving in heavy traffic. The one star is for the nice Christmas music. The manager came over to see why we didn't like the food. She seemed surprised because other people like the caesar with heavy mayo-type dressing you could get from a jar. It was nice of her to give us a 25% off card to return. Lol. read more

I'm inclined to leave a review for Vinzo's for my 2 roommates who don't use Yelp and aren't foodies like myself. We all live within 2 miles of this restaurant and both order Vinzo's at least once a week. One roommate orders the special they have on Mondays,he calls in and picks it up on the way home from work,however the last 2 mondays he's showed up and the pizza hasn't even been started yet.This is at 3pm..He said the staff was very apologetic and offered a drink while he waited. ( very cool of staff) He showed me the pizza he got today,11-14-22 and the crust was 2" thick. Looks like they threw it together. The other roommate ordered a pepperoni & cheese pizza on door dash on Sunday 11-13-22 and they put anchovies on it! He didn't notice until the 2nd bite and about hurled. He called to say they screwed up his order and the manager that was working told him that there is nothing they can do! (Not cool). I'm not sure what is going on lately with the restaurant,but it seems to be slipping in quality and customer service. My reviews are not biased,I've had their pizza's in the past and they've been amazing. Im just wondering if anyone else has experienced a change lately? read more

Wow! We stopped by for dinner tonight and we're so happy with the food and service at Vinzo's. We ordered the vodka pasta special with blackened shrimp, chicken parm, Vinzo's dip and the cannoli. It's basically pepperoni pizza ingredients in a calzone package. Complete with marinara sauce for dipping. The pepperoni is consist throughout and there is plenty of cheese. They are pretty decent size too. The environment is clean and comfortable. There isn't a huge dining room, but it's cozy. The staff here always tends to be personable. It's clear that this is a family-owned business and the seek to do a good job. Vinzo's is a solid Italian pizza-style joint if you are looking for one. Definitely worth checking out. I was looking for a quick and not too fancy place for Italian food for a small, tired and hungry group. Vinzo's FAR exceeded expectations! Delicious food; huge portions excellently prepared and served piping hot, nice list of appetizers and entrees, and lovely ambiance. I enjoyed sangria and Vinzo's dip, Eggplant Parmesan, garlic knots, Limoncello cake, and finished with an espresso; it was outstanding every step of the way. Most of the neighborhood places had 2 hour waits, were crowded and noisy and in a rush to get fast turnover. This is a smaller place but it felt spacious and quiet because the tables were thoughtfully placed, and service was gracious and unhurried. After having dinner here a couple of times recently, we ordered delivery this week and everything arrived nice and hot and was delicious as usual! From the reviews, it looks like their pizza is as delicious as their dinners. We'll be trying one soon. The first time we ate here we wondered why we hadn't tried Vinzo's sooner. We loved the atmosphere and the staff made us feel so welcome. On our next visit, Mike P was playing Spanish guitar, so extra star for turning going out to eat into date night dining. We have tried the salmon and shrimp entrees and everything was sooo good! We usually have a hard time finding heart healthy options at Italian restaurants, but we found plenty of options including their specials.
