Very fast response, my problem: Fridge works, freezer only cools to 32 deg. Troubleshooting was quick, he noticed my ice maker was inop. he replaced that. (Samsung notorious for warmer fridge air getting in through and into the ice maker, see you tube) He sealed in and outside of the new ice maker. He quickly replaced that, it now works fine. I actually had a compressor or flow issue within the system. He found that my fridge was still in warranty. Instead of soaking me $$$, he pointed out in the operation manual that the Parts and Labor was still covered. Showed me the number to call. 1-800-SAMSUNG. I now have Samsung repairing if for Parts and Labor at no costs. Honest, skilled, properly equipped and trained, will definitely use again. Previous SEARS service tech....I miss Sears and their appliances. Call Vince. Advise: DONT Buy the fancy bells n whistles fridge, get the simple two door Fridge and Freezer models. He showed up when he said he would or called to let you know if he was running late. He was very professional when working on my broken ice/water dispenser on my whirlpool refrigerator. Callled VinTech this morning and he responded immediately scheduled to come out and did so offerring a thorough exam of my non-functioning ice maker in my side by side refrigerator-freezer. He diagnosed the problem and provided an estimate that was reasonable and covered all of the issues. He also offerred input on what a replacement unit might run and we then decided it may be best to just replace the appliance with a newer model. Since we had had this under a Sears contract and had reported the problem nearly 2 months ago with only 1 response and no repair from them we also learned that the Sears repairs are running very slow due to lack of technicians (we heard this from another Sears rep). In any case we were very thankful that Vintech came out the same day,(no waiting over a month like we did with Sears) and he was very honest and professional so we will highly recommend Vintech to anyone needing prompt,efficient, courteous service at a reasonalbe price. read more

I had considered buying a new fridge/freezer to replace existing one with non-functioning ice maker. Learned from a salesperson that current models have an expected service life of 6-8 years. Decided to look into repairing existing fridge/freezer as Kenmore (by Whirlpool, purchased in 2016) has expected service life of 10 - 20 years with maintenance. Called Vintech as he was the only repair business on Yelp with all 5 star reviews. I inquired about service in windward Oahu since it wasn't shown in his service area. He was able to diagnose issues over the phone with verbal descriptions and texted photos. He gave me an estimate and was willing to drive over to effect repairs so we scheduled an appointment. He arrived on time, had the repairs done in a little over an hour, and actual cost was in line with his estimate. Gave him a little extra for his excellent service and willingness to work a job on the windward side into his schedule. Very satisfied with the outcome. read more

Contacted Vintech for a refrigerator issue on Nov 20. I was well aware of the $95 visit fee (if I decide not to have appliance repaired). Vince showed up and found the compressor needed to be replaced. He stated three options: 1) he could repair it with a universal compressor for a cost of nearly $1000 and have it done by mid-December; 2) have Sears replace the compressor because it was still under the 10 year compressor warranty. Vince estimated it would be $600-$800 with a Sears part and a one year warranty; 3) take that $600-$800 Sears cost and apply it to a new refrigerator. Even with Black Friday sales coming up, to buy a brand new fridge comparable to what I have would be $2500+. Went with option #2 and all worked out perfectly for approx $680 + Vince's $95 fee, total $775. After installing new compressor, Sears found the fridge to be problem free.
