The menu was extensive enough to contain burritos (that for whatever reason are extremely hard to find in Mexican restaurants in Switzerland), as well as several other basics. After we promptly ordered them, we were pleasantly surprised with just how good the food and drinks were. Despite a bit of a kitsch interior, this place has great food and a highly enjoyable terrace. Overall, it's a safe bet and definitely recommended if you are in the mood for a mexican.

Once we were seated, we were greeted by a friendly waiter named Adam. While the menu was all in German, Adam very patiently explained all of the different dishes on the menu to us. We decided on ordering the champagne fondue and herb fondue, which both serve two people. The food came pretty quickly and was served with bread and potatoes. We ordered the two fondue pots for four people, but in hindsight, it was more than enough. Both fondues were very good; however, I prefer the champagne option as it was slightly less salty. I would still recommend both these options and thought the fondue was excellent. The texture and consistency was very smooth and did not feel too heavy. Overall, I had a great experience here. The one note that I will make about the place is that it was a little on the pricier side, but that is to be expected. I would definitely recommend stopping by this restaurant of you are in Thun for the day.

And boy are we glad we came here. The restaurant leans heavily on Swiss influences and does a wide variety of meats (beef: angus and veal, lamb, chicken, horse(!), and fish) as well as an expansive set of salads, including iceberg wedges as well as burrata, bruschetta, and others. And the wine list was impressive too. Tanja spoke great English, which made a huge difference in navigating their impressive and large menu. Now onto the food - the salads were all delicious. The shrimp and chicken that went with the salads as extra add-ons were grilled to perfection and delicious. We practically fought over the bruschetta. And the burrata was also very tasty with a lot of depth and flavors. The main dishes were great as well. Lovely variety of local beers on the tap and in bottle, as well as nice selection of (some local) wines and other soft and hard drinks. Very cosy atmosphere. Ever Friday night there is live music ranging from Bluegrass to Irish Folk, Jazz, including the odd Blues and Funk sessions. Well worth attending, but go early, space is limited. The "Bistro" may even be rented for private events. They now also offer Co-working Space including internet and restrooms. Open Tuesday thru Saturday. Such a fun place. I always walk away with a smile...
