Our dishwasher was apparently leaking as the kitchen floor was starting to raise up from in front of it. We contacted Vines who sent out an estimator regarding repairing the damage. We approved the estimate and Vines hired a crew to remove the dishwasher, the kitchen cabinets, raise the countertop, remove the damaged flooring from underneath the dishwasher, install a drying machine to dry the floor boards and ensure that everything was dry. We had the dishwasher repaired by the original sales firm, Lowe's and the diswasher remained in the center of the kitchen for Vines to complete the reinstallation of the floor tiles. We did not remove the dishwasher from its original location, Vines' contractors did. The time period between the dishwasher repair and the flooring reinstallation was lengthy and not coordinated, as the contractors replacing the floor tiles did not take into account that the dishwasher needed to be replaced into it original location, prior to the tiles being laid, because the flooring installers "do not move dishwashers". Therefore, the flooring had been replaced and now the dishwasher no longer fit into its original location and could not be opened. We finally had to withhold a completion verification until Vines finally sent out a plumber to properly reinstall the dishwasher, but the plumber had to request that his supervisor respond to assist in cutting back a portion of the reinstalled floor tiles to permit the dishwasher to fit into its original space. This problem resulted from no one being in charge of the various sub-contractors and the timing of each repair project. One sub-contractor had no clue as to what the others were doing. A complete lack of coordination and noone being in charge of the project, or supervising its required portions of completion. Had we known that Vines does not have its own personnel to complete projects, but sub-contracts, we would have employed someone else. read more

Not going to delve into hyperbole; simply give a thumbnail sketch- I am from out of state and have been traveling monthly to assist my elderly mother who still lives in the area. We needed help on a Saturday on a gas line issue and it was nearing the end of the business day. I had placed a call to all of the recos on other sites, with no response. I picked up the old Grand Strand Yellow Pages and found Vines. Vines had someone in the office, and had the owner on call for service. He called me within the hour as he was working through his list of other jobs. We were able to text back and forth so he had idea of the scope of the work and had the parts on hand. The owner was able to handle the work quickly, was respectful of the situation and kind to my mom. The job was a 2 part process, so when my mom called in later in the week for the return visit, Vines was expecting her call. The second rep from Vines was just as knowledgeable and was also kind. Not bad for a former Socastee Brave! As we have other projects, I will not hesitate to call them again for service. read more

I've used Vines for all 3 of their businesses. I've had my water heater replaced, it was done efficiently and a great price. We've had restoration work done due to our washing machine flooding our floors and the whole process exceeded our expectations from the water crew to the repair team.
