When we ordered another basket with more wings than drumsticks it didn't happen (but at least they tossed them this time) Vegetables are always fresh, cold and crunchy. The Ruben tasty and the meat lean but served on a sub par piece of bread that was really soggy underneath. Fries are really good but they serve them sparingly and not cheap. The wings are by the pound and yes they did change to bigger size wings. The past couple of times we've ordered the wings they look small again. Perfect for us. We come here every time we want wings. The fries, salad, hummus, and spinach dip are excellent. My favorite drink is a margarita. I have one or two every time I visit. The staff is very friendly. Absolutely awful experience Lthe kind that makes you wonder how a place like this stays open. Me and my buddy walk in, sit at the bar. There are maybe two or three people there, so it's basically empty. Still takes the bartender, Hailey, a solid 10 minutes just to acknowledge us, but that is what ever no big deal. We order wings, and I'm not kidding they were the smallest wings I've ever seen in my life. But bad food alone doesn't make me leave a review like this. The nightmare started when our entrées were coming out. Hailey picks up our wings and drops the entire plate ranch, barbecue sauce, wings all over ME . Absolute disaster. Again, I'm not the type to flip out over a mistake. But here's the part that blows my mind: she didn't apologize. Not right away. Not even after seeing the mess she made. Instead, she completely ignored me for the rest of the night like nothing happened. Me and my buddy sat there for a good 20-25 minutes after it happened, just waiting for her to say something. When it comes to queso, I become Ariana Grande: I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it. On one particular evening, I wanted some wings and chips with queso. I haven't been to this Vine so I figured I'd stop in for some takeout. After grabbing my food and taking it home, I was disappointed to see the size of those wings. These must have been the wings of a pigeon or something. Such dainty bites for full-price! And it seemed like they took two normal sized celery sticks and chopped them into six pieces. They're stingy with portion sizes. The sauces on the wings were standard too. As for the queso and chips, these were decent. At least I got a video clip for my Instagram. Been eating at this location for over 20 years. Dining here weekly for the past decade. Why?? For the incredibly crispy,tender, tasty, and SMALL chicken wings that you cannot get anywhere else in town. They recently switched their wings to a larger variety. While still a decent wing and well prepared they are now just like everywhere else and I am sure full of growth hormones etc. resulting in a less tender meat. Not nearly as crispy or tasty. Our group is headed elsewhere tonight for our weekly meetup for the first time in a decade. I am sure we will still be back at the vine someday but those tiny wings are no longer the draw for us. Please put them back on the menu. Maybe you could offer two wing options? Small and large. These small wings were a big reason many of your regulars come so often. This location does Pub 2 Pitch which is great to have a bite to eat with a pint before being shuttled to the Phoenix Rising Match. The service was great and made sure we were aware when the shuttle arrived, which we are grateful as it arrived earlier than scheduled. I had only ever been to the iconic, now closed Vine Tavern near ASU, so I wasn't sure what to expect from this location, but I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered sliders that came with fresh pickles and sautéed onions. The accompanying fries were thin and crispy. The drinks were strong and the beers were large. I visited this establishment yesterday in the afternoon around 1pm. I ordered a dozen of wings xtra crispy(5x) and when I received my food only 3 wings were to my liking. I told one the of staff members that several of the wings were soft and that I can keep 3 of the wings. So instead sending Kaiden back to the table, the manager Kathy came out and said what's the issue. I explained to her the same thing I told the other staff member. She proceeds to tell me that since the wings had sauce on them, they could not recook them, and that you people (referring to me and my husband) come in here all the time and do this.. right away when she said you people, I took to offense as a racial statement stating you people not you guys. I had to stop and tell her I've been coming to this establishment for over 15 years and 98% of the time you guys get it right, every time! The only few times they didn't prepare them right, I sent them back and they redid them. So a couple times is not every time over the pass 15 years. I don't like sending my food back because now the wait is longer to eat. After all that was said then she goes and say well let me see what I can do. At this point, I don't want nobody to do anything bad to the food so I told her to take it off my bill. My nephew was in town from Fort Hood on liberty leave and we went to his favorite wing place. It just happened to be on Tuesday which is wing special day, but what can I say!? I never thought of pigeons having edible wings but if they did then The Vine is certainly peddling them for a ridiculous $15.99 a pound regularly. And 8.99 for the Tuesday special but watch out.. they only honor the full pound for the "special". If you get the half dozen order with fries on the wing menu NO discount for you! The waitress was helpful with taking orders and keeping beverages filled, but she seems to be brain washed by the management into thinking these tiny excuses to waste wing sauce was acceptable for a "wing special" day. And if they have larger wings during the week then I see this as a basic bait and switch con.. NOT COOL!!! And just when I thought the ridiculousness was over, here comes the bill. WAIT!! Different totals for card and cash... And we're not talking cents, we're talking Dollars! This whole ordeal screams poor management. Needless to say my family will not be back! The other had all 12 but both boxes of wings were the tiniest most worthless little wings I've ever seen. I tried to call them but the phone ring for 5 minutes with no answer. A completely unprofessional and just plan rude Blonde bartender working this afternoon. My sister and I used to be regulars at the vine and decided to go in for happy hour, when we walked in there was 4 people total in the entire restaurant, including the bartender. We stood at the hostess stand for a few min looking at all our options of where to sit when we finally decided to take a booth. The bartender was at the bar chatting with a customer when finally we got up and to ask the bartender if we were going to be served and the bartender said "she never saw us come in" which was a complete lie when we were standing looking at all the empty seats. The patron then said she was getting someone, another lie she hadn't moved or stopped talking since we walked in. This local watering hole is perfect place to stop in for a quick drink or two and dinner or appetizers. The atmosphere is very laid back. Everyone is super friendly. During our last visit we enjoyed a beer and a couple appetizers. The Buffalo cauliflower bites were excellent, but the fries were a slightly under cooked. Overall, we enjoyed our visit.
