This bar has great potential except for one human fixture in this place that never goes away! Frank is the most unfriendly bartender in Worcester. No smiles, no personality, and only seems to like his equally lame friends that sit with him at the bar. AND HE'S IN CHARGE OF THIS PLACE!? He spends most of his time at work watching TV and sipping on booze he's poured himself in a little juice glass. This is really a great bar in that hard to explain, you will get it when you get it sort of way. Honestly, they don't have the widest beer selection but it's decent and if you're that picky just go somewhere else. They also don't have very unique cocktail offerings but they do pour respectfully strong mixed drinks- pint glass sized and the perfect way to ease the pain of coming off a 12 hour shift . If you are smart you will get a meatball sandwich and enjoy it with a well poured Guinness served by attentive, knowledgeable, smart bar tenders and sit outside, you might momentarily forget you're in the belly of Grafton Hill. This is a "drinking bar" and a great way to escape the hell that is the typical Worcester bar scene. I like it a lot , it is just right, just the way it is. read more

I find myself in Worcester about once every decade, it seems. This time, I had the wonderful experience of having lunch at Vincent's. It was mid-afternoon. Only one other person was at the bar. I had the most delicious homemade meatball sandwich I have ever had in my life. With cheese. On giant soft italian bread. Gazing upon the taxidermy animals atop the bar. Portraits of dead Presidents staring back at me. Urging me to have another beer.. I must return to Vincent's one day.. perhaps in the next decade! ;) read more

Great music. Worst service ever. The blond waitress appears to only server her friends. I finally waived to her and she waved back mockingly from the other end of the bar. Vincent's. THIS IS IT! True to its neon glowing words, this really is it. The dark atmosphere and the rustic feel is a unique feeling you really wont find anywhere else. Everything from the taxidermy on the walls to the vintage memorabilia to the 1920's photos of Worcester, this place just screams unique. Many times you can walk in and of course see the neighborhood regulars but also find people visiting from across the country. Not to mention Vincent's has been voted a top dive bar in the country TWICE. Once by Stuff Magazine in 2004 and again by Maxim Magazine in 2010. The exterior of Vincent's fits in with the surrounding buildings: three deckers with the first floor converted into a bar basically, but once you pass through the solid black door the dim lighting be it day or night is always makes for an interesting atmosphere. The wood stools are sturdy, for the most part, and there is seating all around the bar and also at a bunch of tables on the other side of the room. The bar is long with old vintage paperback novels and other random words embedded in the bar itself. The other thing to mention would the be amazing jukebox. Its got a little bit of everything for everybody. Frank Sinatra to the Sex Pistols to Cee lo Green. Trust me, check that out. One last note to mention to check out would be the photo booth. Cross your fingers when you go in there though, sometimes it may or may not be working so you may have to come back to make sure you get your Vincent's photo strip! I of course don't need to mention the meatball sandwich but I would also like to note the other underdogs of Vincent's: the combo. Its a mix of the ever loved meatballs but also with their delicious Italian sausage. Trust me, it may be just as good as the regular meatball sandwich. If they have it, usually seasonal during the fall and winter seasons, try the lasagna. Its a pound and a half of pure goodness. Be prepaired to take some home with you as most likely you will not be able to finish it unless you're really hungry. Lastly the last thing to check out would be the back patio. It's almost like you're sitting in somebody's backyard. The woes of the city seem to melt away when you lounge in the back, sip your beverage and hang out with friends on a bright sunny day on the lawn. This is it. read more

Set off the beaten path on Grafton Hill, Vincent's is a hidden gem of Worcester. The drink selection is of a good size (the draft beer selection is a little limited, but the bottled beer choices are plentiful). The menu is limited to 5 choices (sometimes 6, when there is lasagna available), but the ziti with meatball or sausage, the sandwiches and the cheese plate far surpass the competition. There is limited off-street parking but plenty of street parking. There is live music almost every night of the week, and the patio out back is the perfect summer hang-out. read more

I love this place more than words can say. I've been known to leave Boston to drive out to Worcester for an evening of drinking here. One of the best places in Massachusetts to watch a sox game too. If you like your bars dark, comforting, with creepy stuffed heads and an amazing jukebox . . . well you should probably be my friend. Frank Morey also does his thing on Wednesday nights and he's a perfect gravelly-voiced compliment to this place; his songs rotate around women, whiskey, trains, and cocaine. Hells yes. read more

Vincent's, or Vinent's as it's known by credit card processors, is a wonderful place to go whether you want to disappear behind a glass (and a pole) on a Monday night or have a 15-person birthday bash on a Saturday night. It's dark, it's filled with dusty taxidermy (note the clever use of stuffed animals over the bathroom doors...), and it's cozy. The porch and back yard are so nice in summer months. Tiki Night on Wednesday, Scott & friends live on Tuesday, a variety of musical acts on Fridays and Saturdays. My favorite food here is simply bread and sauce, which I learned about one ill-advised night while playing a gig here and drinking entirely too many Rolling Rocks (why, self?). read more

This place has made being a dive an art form. You can get Schlitz. Lots of failed taxidermy experiments used as decorations. Great live music, but no real dance floor. It's kind of a small place, and it get's cramped. The bands have to set up in a cramped little corner by the entrance, so people coming in the door are literally bumping into the guitarist while he's playing. But the crowd is a really great music crowd, I love it here. read more

From the live music to the patio and backyard, Seth the bartender, who I am lovingly naming beardo, to all the taxidermied animals and old school vintage flair floating around. We decided to try this place a few nights ago. We walked in fairly early and there were two customers at the bar and one table occupied, so we decided to sit at the bar to have a drink and see what all the rave reviews were about. Well, I am so sorry to say this but with two bar tenders behind the bar, neither of them gave us the time of day, a glance or even a "hey be with you in a moment". NOTHING, NOT even eye contact. Okay,we waited a few more minutes, then three guys came in and they were greeted with a handshake and hey how's it goin'. Seriously, I like to support local businesses but this is not how to treat anyone. We got up and walked out and will not be back. This is one of the best bars in Worcester. It isn't fancy, and it isn't expensive (although it isn't extra cheap or anything), and you'll see anyone from businessmen in suits to mohawked punks hanging out, and all seemingly getting along.
