My fiance introduced me to Dr. Chen and is amazing staff avout 4 years ago. Best dentist I have even been to, makes me feel comfortable and makes sure I'm not in any pain. He talks it out with you about what needs to be done and what you may want to do first; he'll give his recomomdation but ultimately what you want done is what they will do. They work with your insurance and try to help you look your best with out having to pay more than you can afford. I needed a lot of work done and have change instances a few times but they always try to work with me so that I'm not in debt. We all know it's really hard to find a good dentist. I've been through the traumatizing experiences so once I found Dr.Chen and his team I have not looked anywhere else and have continued to come back for years! The staff are so nice and welcoming. He has an amazing team working with him + the office is clean and modern. I started and completed an Invisalign treatment here as well and had a great experience. I know a few friends who are going through the Invisalign process now and were either charged an outrageous amount or were seen once, given all their trays, and told to come back at the end. I had frequent check-ins to make sure everything was going well and even did an adjustment at the end. If you're looking for a great dentist and team you can trust, this is it. read more

The building and Office are relatively new construction, the Office amenities are modern and immaculate. Dr Chen makes eye contact, listens and seems to know his stuff. So far, I recommend his practice to newcomers. I just wish he used some sort of messaging app for non-urgent issues so as not to bother the office staff with phone calls. read more

Prior to having Dr. Chen, I had gone to a smoking (tobacco) dentist in San Pablo, and another local dentist place here in Hercules (near Lucky's). Neither of them were satisfactory. My wife was recommended to Dr. Chen, so I decided to switch to his service as well. Best dental decision I have ever made. Dr. Chen and his staff are courteous, professional, skillful, and HONEST (which, imho is hard to find with some dentist around here). So far with Dr. Chen I have had several cleanings, a crown put in, and a root canal. No issues WHAT SO EVER. I had extreme tooth pain from a root canal that was long over due. Dr. Chen and his staff were great! Had me on antibiotics in hours from my phone call and when that failed to work had me in the office getting a root canal and crown. My family has been going to Dr Chen for years. We went to him after having a few difficult experiences with a local Dental office in the Rodeo area. Overall, Dr. Chen is our best Dentist!! An outstanding professional team, great Dental Hygienists on board that assists Dr. Chen with all of his patients. I personally, had quite a number of dental procedures, which was performed in an outstanding manner and I never had to go back for any adjustments. Yes, I was in pain in several of his procedures; but not to the point that it was a difficult experience. Dr. Chen strives to do all of the dental procedures right the first time! What impressed me about the place is the professional environment of his private practice and staff members. The environment is very respectful and compassionate, not only on the dental practice, but towards all of his patients. I am also impressed as to the state of the art equipment that his practice has. Went to get a root canal done with Vincent Chen, DDS. When I went to get the crown put on after the root canal, I shared that I still felt pain on the tooth. They said it's 'normal'. FYI, it is not normal because the root canal is killing the nerves of that tooth. When I explained it still hurt, they ignored me and went onto doing the crown. Once they placed in the crown, I felt the crown's sharp corner still sticking up above the gums. The next day, I called and left a message about this. No response. I sent them an email, no response. 6 months down the road, I called them to let them know my tooth still hurt. They said they would get back to me but never did. I would not recommend this guy if you need major teeth work. They will ghost you when they screw up. You'll have to pay twice the amount for a root canal, because now I have to see another dentist to have them fix Vincent's terrible job on the root canal. Point: they will not listen to their clients and they will ghost you if the make a mistake. read more

Made an appointment for my daughter two weeks prior. Got an appointment for Saturday at 1pm, the Thursday prior to the appointment they called to see if we could come in at 10am instead of 1pm, we had plans in the morning so I kept my 1pm appointment. We showed up to the appointment at 1pm and the receptionist tells me I dont have an appointment and if I was sure I was in the right place. Two things, they had my daughter on the WRONG account and two, yes i'm sure I am at the right place i got an email confirmation 4 days prior to the appointment. After showing her the email confirmation she tells me I can wait and see IF we can get sqeezed in or reschedule for another day. Can't help to think they actually gave my appointment to someone else when I said I couln't come in earlier. I will definitely not come back or recommend to anyone! read more

Great Dentist! My whole family goes to him, from my 5 year old son to my 67 year old father. Dr.Chen has always been professional, clean and punctual. I broke my crown at the movies and Dr.Chen got me in the very next morning! The staff is friendly, patient and respectful. Prior to Dr. Chen I hated going to the dentist. I hated hearing I had cavities, hated getting shots, there was nothing I enjoyed about the dentist. With Dr. Chen it's been the exact opposite. He is so honest and gentle. I feel very relaxed and look forward to my regular cleanings. My experience with Dr. Chen was not so friendly. Dr. Chen is so self absorbed its ridiculous. Although the staff was nice the doctor came off as being a of a know it all in all subject matters not dentistry. When I voice my opinion on options of approach to my issue the doctor was very restricted. It was his way or no way. I advised him that I was still having a issue with a root canal procedure he did and he thought I was lying because it could have been his work. Well it was.
