May 21, '25, Wednesday around 7 pm My sisters and I came to Vim for dinner. Parking: small lot, you'll be lucky to find parking. We did find a spot but there's also street parking as well. I'm a creature of habit and I ordered the same thing. I had the barbecue beef plate. This visit, I think the dish was overly seasoned (ie salty) as compared to the last time. I wish it was consistent. Service was very good. Ambiance was okay. The music was good. My back was to the TV showing ESPN Classic.

My Daughters recommended me this place , it turned out good , we enjoyed and it was a Vibe inside . Servers were great . We loved the food as well.

I've heard so much about this place and passed by many times so we decided to try them. I don't want to say disappointed but it definitely wasn't what I was expecting. If this experience was based solely on the food, I would say it's about 8.5/10. The portion sizes are really large and the taste is good, not great. I think the popularity of it comes from the amount of food you get and the price you pay. There are a lot of things that they can work on to make their restaurant even more of a better experience than what they offer. First of all, the service is sub-par and compared it to a pay-first location. Take the order, deliver the food, don't follow up and see how we are doing and don't refill water unless asked for...With a restaurant that is supposed to be "full service", Vim Thai-Chinese offers the bare minimum. At least they were smiling when they took our order. We got the seafood soup, combination fried rice and pork pad se ew. Good portions! Ambiance 6/10 Restrooms 1/10 Service 5/10 Food 8/10 Cleanliness 6/10 Value 9/10 Will I Return? On the fence because they have an extensive menu and the taste was good. Just lacking on the areas mentioned above. So I am willing to try them again and hope to give them a higher rating

This restaurant location is STINGY for dumb reasons. I ordered three items for $54 and they literally give me just two condiments in total. You're not even abiding by your own policy! What's worse is when I asked for more, the staff member had to ask for permission to give me more. HAHA! You can't be serious, you'd rather step over dollars to save pennies? In other words, you'd rather lose a regular customer over providing the condiments you said you'd provide per order. The Rad Nah noodles were a little bland, hence why Thai restaurants have condiments, so customers can season to their liking.

Vim is such a great restaurant, I love eating here because the flavors are always perfect. Their catfish was my favorite, it was spicy with a unique blend of flavors, their seafood soup is also delicious and great with rice in the soup. Their papaya salad is delicious with a fresh crunch and lots of citrus and spices along with the peanuts and shrimp. I would definitely recommend coming to eat here the staff is always very friendly but make sure you bring cash with you because it is cash only.

We usually always come here for the seafood soup but today we found a roach in the plate of the seafood soup. Our server didn't act surprised at all. She didn't even apologize, she just said "I'll bring you a new one" I know she was busy with a party she just had. But the service was so bad. Didn't even bother to check up on us once.

First off it's Cash Only! So make sure you bring it. There is an ATM at a liquor store next door just incase. Food here it's delicious I have tried multiple plates and all good. Especially the seafood soup spicy!! Also their Thai Tea! You must try! Service is good depending on the day you go. Hit and miss. It's a Friendly family restaurant.

The portion sizes were very large and the price was super cheap but I thought it didn't taste very flavorful. The tofu pad see ewe was also burnt. It is a good restaurant for families and is also cash only!

It was a but busy when we got there but luckily we got seared pretty shortly after arrival. We originally wanted to sit at the bar, but opted for a table for less wait time. When first looking at the menu we were shocked by the prices. I knew immediately i wanted to get the hui tou potstikers with pork and noodles. We ended up adding on the hongkong style wontons too. To my suprise the wontons arrived in a delicious and warm broth, keeping them perfectly moist and plump. The broth was so delicious even on a hot day, tasting faintly of sesame and scallion. Despite both dishes being pork they were so different and equally amazing in flavor. The pan fried potstikers which were CRISPED TO PERFECTION especially reminded me of black bean shortribs that you get from dimsum, fatty but hearty and had me wanting more and more each bite. The minced pork noodles were to no suprise, so good. Noodles tasted fresh, the sauce was umami with mushrooms and pork. While im not the biggest fan of mushrooms, i still ate it up. I feel it would be so good with some picked cabbage too to complement the saltiness. Most notable thing... THAT CHILI OIL. We probably used almost half the jar left at the table. It wasnt spicy at all, but it had this flavor that i genuinely have never tasted before. The texture of the chilli and sesame and the nutty flavor had me in awe. Enough to take two jars home... i would do it again. Servers were so quick, made sure everything we needed was at the table. Regardless of the crowd we were met with promptness and generosity. This that wonton place your girl tells you not to worry about forreal. Will be coming back despite the long drive from home.

Anything you can eat you any night you don't have to cook is usually a great night out. This evening was no exception. Our waitress was kind and accommodating. Positive energy, drinks filled and smile that felt genuine. The ambiance of the restaurant was bar like, but with adequate seating for dining in. Everything was prepared wonderfully and had tremendous flavor. I recommend trying their Hui Tou, stuffed with pork or beef, pork and leek pancakes, they also have vegetarian options. Their pork shumai was delicious, xiao long bao's soup dumplings were flavorful. Delicious. I definitely need a second trip here to try their soups and more of their variety of dumplings.

The braised pork belly was so incredibly soft and melt-in-your-mouth, and paired with the pickled carrots and cucumbers tucked into that steamed bao bun - so juicy. We also got the scallion pancakes which were crispy, chewy, and came with a soy ginger dipping sauce. The wood ear mushroom and bean curd stick salad was a nice lighter contrast to the heavier dishes too. We tried the beef noodles as well. The noodles were a bit on the tougher side, which is kind of expected with this style, but the flavors were solid overall. But do NOT sleep on dessert. I had to order the deep fried bao bun with ice cream scoop inside and it was delicious. Absolutely worth saving room for if you're looking to end your meal off with a sweet treat! Parking is easy with plenty of street parking nearby. Love that there's both indoor and outdoor seating - the patio outside is perfect for bigger groups at night, and the inside has its own aesthetic vibe that's equally great. Great service, good vibes, and delicious food. I'll be coming back!

It's a very small (but super aesthetically cute) spot. There is a tiny parking area (I believe 3 spots) but we found street parking on temple. Menu is small and everything sounded great. (I learned they used to be a food pop up/cart, so makes sense!) You order at the counter and then pick a spot. The dining room inside is small with a handful of tables, but they also had many tables outside on their patio and alongside Reno street. I loved the photos of the family of the creators sprinkles through the dining room. Food was yummy. I had no expectations and I enjoyed it. The wings were nice and crunchy with tender chicken inside. Beef noodles were great, too. My only tiny qualm was staff, tho helpful, all looked very serious and I saw no smiles. It was a weird contrast to the charming spot.
